> Listening Snow Tower Recap

The Moon Worship Cult, led by Hua Lian, engaged in witchcraft in the Nanjiang region, harming the populace. The Snow Tower's leader, Xiao Shishui, alongside martial arts masters Bai Di, Xue Gu, and the lone swordsman Blood Demon, confronted the cult, resulting in heavy losses for both sides. Years later, Blood Demon was with his innocent daughter, Shu Jingrong, lighting sky lanterns, sensing her longing for her mother.

Hua Lian attacked them, attempting to recruit Blood Demon to join her in destroying the Snow Tower. Blood Demon refused, recalling that the cult had killed his wife. Hua Lian then used a sacred "Flower Protecting Bell" to plant a blood gu in Blood Demon, attempting to control him to kill Shu Jingrong. To protect his daughter, Blood Demon chose to commit suicide with his own sword before losing control, pleading for Shu Jingrong's life.

As Hua Lian prepared to kill Shu Jingrong, Xiao Shishui and his subordinate Zhong Lao arrived, saving Shu Jingrong. Xiao Shishui accused Hua Lian of cruelty. Hua Lian revealed that Xiao Shishui's past actions were motivated by a desire to save his wife, Snow Wen, who was also a member of the Moon Worship Cult. Hua Lian then coldly informed Xiao Shishui that Snow Wen had been executed by the cult for betrayal.

Devastated, Xiao Shishui battled Hua Lian, with both sustaining severe injuries before Hua Lian escaped. Zhong Lao took Shu Jingrong and Blood Demon's body to safety. Shu Jingrong buried her father and, distrusting Zhong Lao, refused to leave his grave. Xiao Shishui's son, Xiao Yiqing, arrived to mourn Blood Demon and stayed with Shu Jingrong. Xiao Yiqing, who suffered from a congenital cold illness, collapsed from a relapse. Shu Jingrong, weakened, also fainted.

At Xiao Yiqing's request, Zhong Lao took them to Chensha Valley, the residence of Xiao Yiqing's master, Xue Gu. Xue Gu, a close friend of Bai Di, asked Bai Di, who was skilled in medicine, to treat Xiao Yiqing. Bai Di found Xiao Yiqing's condition critical, using his inner energy and herbs to suppress the cold. To further aid his survival, Xue Gu then transferred a significant portion of his own power to Xiao Yiqing.

Upon waking, Shu Jingrong met Qing Lan, Bai Di's disciple. Still traumatized and distrustful, Shu Jingrong fled to a cliff with her father's Blood Demon sword and jumped into the lake below. Qing Lan immediately jumped in after her and rescued her. Learning of Blood Demon's death, Xue Gu suggested that Bai Di take Shu Jingrong as his last disciple to honor Blood Demon. Qing Lan encouraged Shu Jingrong, assuring her that joining Bai Di's tutelage would protect her.

Driven by a desire for revenge for her father, Shu Jingrong decided to stay and learn martial arts. During a discussion with Shu Jingrong about accepting her as a disciple, Bai Di observed the "Dark Star" flickering in the night sky, with other stars falling around it.

Believing that all intertwined with the Dark Star's fate would perish, and inferring it represented Blood Demon's daughter, Bai Di decided to only teach Shu Jingrong lightness skills, renaming her "Qing Ming," to keep her from participating in martial world conflicts.
