Late at night, three urban workers in suits and ties were drinking together. One of them, drunk, needed to find a restroom. Two of them helped him walk into Rakshasa Street. Upon entering, they suddenly found that the companion they were helping had mysteriously disappeared. The disappeared A-Quan was dizzy wandering the small street, but behind him, an evil spirit was approaching him. Just as it was about to reach him, he was suddenly knocked down by someone.

The person who helped him was the former Spiritual Guardian of Rakshasa Street, Cao Yanbing. Cao Yanbing lives in Rakshasa Street, but he became the former Spiritual Guardian because of a wanted order from the Hall of Heroes. He couldn't return home and ran to the human world to become a delivery person. The reason he was wanted was that he broke into Yulin Street and killed the Spiritual Guardian Nan Yufu.

The actual situation was that Nan Yufu had broken into Putiji Street, burning, killing, and plundering, committing all kinds of evil deeds. Cao Yanbing killing him was not a big mistake. However, Linyu clearly knew this situation but still ordered his arrest because Cao Yanbing was capable but did not obey discipline, so Linyu deliberately fabricated a charge to make him a scapegoat and punish him.

Cao Yanbing was eating dinner in the human world and suddenly recalled how his mother had strictly trained and taught him since he was a child that to gain a foothold in the Spiritual Crossroads and become a Spiritual Guardian, he had to be strong enough, because only if he was strong enough could he protect the people he wanted to protect.

He promised his mother that he would definitely become stronger and protect his mother, his younger brother Xiao Liang, and Rakshasa Street. It was Xiao Liang's birthday, and people on Rakshasa Street gave him birthday presents, thanking him for protecting Rakshasa Street so well. Xiao Liang smiled and accepted the gifts, saying that it was what he should do. People from the Hall of Heroes had been following Xiao Liang, trying to find Cao Yanbing by tracking him.

Xiao Liang told her that his brother had left him a message telling him not to believe the Hall of Heroes, to protect Rakshasa Street, and then there was no more news. Xia Ling was angry that Cao Yanbing didn't contact her and also didn't contact Xiao Liang.

Xiao Liang comforted her, saying that it was better that his brother didn't contact him now because the Hall of Heroes was eager for him to walk into a trap. Xia Ling was busy with her job in the human world, so after eating cake with Xiao Liang, she left.

After seeing Xia Ling off, Xiao Liang was stopped by Wang Meng from Xihu Street, who said he wanted to give him a birthday present and wanted to take him out to celebrate. Hearing that Cao Yanbing was not there, he immediately changed his expression, used handcuffs made of Soul Locking Stones to subdue Xiao Liang, and wanted to kill him and seize Rakshasa Street. At the critical moment, Cao Yanbing appeared and defeated everyone.

Xiao Liang told his brother to quickly return to the human world and that he could handle things here. Cao Yanbing educated him that as a Spiritual Guardian, he couldn't be soft-hearted. This Wang Meng looked shifty-eyed and didn't seem like a good person; only he would fall for it. Wang Meng was unconvinced and released his Spiritual Guardian Feng Miaoyu, while Cao Yanbing released his Guardian Spirits Xu Chu and Dian Wei to fight.

Wang Meng was surprised that Cao Yanbing actually had two Guardian Spirits, but Cao Yanbing told him that he had seven Guardian Spirits. Wang Meng was defeated and fled. Cao Yanbing chased after him and then saw his mother on the street. His mother said there were many evil spirits to kill and told him to hurry and go together. He chased his mother to a burning ruin, and his mother had already fallen into the sea of fire. He recalled seeing his mother perish there when he was a child.
