Her Fantastic Adventures Episode 10 Recap
> Her Fantastic Adventures Recap
Duan Yu, from the Duan family of Changqing, sought audience with the Lord of the Divine Palace, carrying His Lordship's order. He found the place strangely quiet. He encountered a figure and stated his identity and purpose, requesting they inform the Lord. However, the figure attacked him, and Duan Yu was overcome, falling unconscious. Elsewhere, Du Ruoyun was saddened by her father's actions, feeling he was an obstacle despite being family.
Her companion, Dongxi, comforted her, telling her she was a kind girl who should cherish the people around her, mentioning Da who had given Ruoyun beautiful new earrings. Ruoyun felt she had repaid her father's kindness for helping her mother. Shaoyi, seeking revenge for Du Ruoyun after Gu Qingqiao allegedly had a storyteller defame her, went to Qingfeng Restaurant.
He planned to use a private room to set up a mechanism to humiliate Gu Qingqiao, saying this was also for the Duan family, to see if she was worthy of Duan Yu. Gu Qingqiao, noting the lack of improvement in Qingfeng's business, reviewed the accounts with her Manager. She learned that a private room had been booked for three consecutive days by Young Master Shaoyi, who claimed to have something important to do there.
Gu Qingqiao, believing Shaoyi was secretly trying to help her struggling business, went to the room, surprising him. Shaoyi tried to prevent her from entering, acting mysterious about something important happening the day after tomorrow. Suspicious, Gu Qingqiao sought out Xing Si, asking if the day after tomorrow was significant. Xing Si, after some thought, realized it was Shaoyi's birthday. Knowing this, Gu Qingqiao took charge of the room.
Shaoyi, unaware, tested his mechanism, explaining how Gu Qingqiao would slip, fall, and trigger a table flip, making her and Qingfeng a joke, though he had placed a water tank below to prevent serious injury. He intended this as a lesson for her and punishment for defaming Ruoyun. Gu Qingqiao then entered, surprising him with a birthday greeting and praising his mechanism idea as perfect for Qingfeng. People gathered and sang happy birthday to Shaoyi.
Later, Gu Qingqiao reflected on Shaoyi's persistent pranks and her ability to counter them. Shaoyi, feeling embarrassed but touched by the birthday surprise (organized by Gu Qingqiao via Xing Si), acknowledged that Duan Yu had reason to like her. He admitted his plan had gone too far but was impressed by her cleverness. They reconciled, agreeing to end their rivalry and treat each other like "brothers," with Shaoyi agreeing to pay for a celebratory feast.
Gu Qingqiao also mused about doing things for them to remember her. Duan Yu awoke and found himself in the presence of a figure who identified as the Lord of the Divine Palace, clarifying his state was neither fully alive nor dead within the Palace's unique existence, accessible only by strong will. Duan Yu asked if the Star of Rebellion, predicted years ago, posed a great threat to the Duan family, and if there was a win-win solution.
The Lord confirmed the threat was significant, implying Duan Yu's presence there proved it. The Lord spoke of love and hatred as destiny's trials. Duan Yu offered his life to help resolve Gu Qingqiao's trial. The Lord suggested using Duan Yu's strong will to foresee a vision. In the vision, Duan Yu saw a conflict, and Gu Qingqiao fighting. He rushed to intervene, shouting her name.
He and Gu Qingqiao fell off a cliff, with Duan Yu desperately holding onto her. Gu Qingqiao told him he was her destiny, said goodbye, and let go, falling into the abyss. Duan Yu cried out for her and then woke up back in the forest where he had collapsed, questioning if his visit to the Divine Palace and the vision were real or just a hallucination. Shaoyi's first prank had failed, but he wasn't done.
Yang Chunfeng, noticing Qingfeng Restaurant's booming business, grew envious. Seeing suspicious people near the restaurant, he suspected Gu Qingqiao had made many enemies. Shaoyi concocted a new plan, sending a letter to Magistrate Du claiming he had been kidnapped by Gu Qingqiao, attempting to frame her. While Shaoyi was waiting for his hired kidnappers, Gu Qingqiao was also waiting for him in a secluded spot, trying to fly a kite.
A group of men arrived, not the ones Shaoyi hired, and attacked Gu Qingqiao. Xing Si suddenly appeared and apprehended them. Gu Qingqiao recognized her assailants as people she knew. When questioned, they revealed Shaoyi had hired them to stage a kidnapping. Meanwhile, at the Magistrate's office, Magistrate Du received Shaoyi's letter claiming kidnapping by Gu Qingqiao. Magistrate Du found the letter's composition (cut and pasted characters) suspicious.
Du Ruoyun arrived and identified the writing style as belonging to Gu Qingqiao, using characters from a game booklet Gu Qingqiao had made. Ruoyun argued that Gu Qingqiao must have written the letter herself to frame someone else and appear innocent. Magistrate Du considered this possibility. Shaoyi was growing impatient waiting for his hired kidnappers. Gu Qingqiao arrived instead.
They had a conversation where Gu Qingqiao acknowledged his pranks stemmed from Duan Yu, and expressed her confusion about everything since arriving, yet finding them genuinely lovable. She praised his hidden intelligence and talent for mechanisms. Shaoyi admitted his initial harsh judgment of her but now saw she deserved some affection. They reaffirmed their truce. Just as they agreed to move past their rivalry, another group of people appeared.
Shaoyi initially thought they were his hired men, telling them the act was over and he would pay double. However, Gu Qingqiao realized they were different. Shaoyi then revealed that Xing Si had already caught the group he hired and taken them back to the Duan Residence. This second group captured Gu Qingqiao and Shaoyi, tying them up. This second group were members of the Mantra Sect.
Yang Chunfeng went to Magistrate Du, insisting the earlier letter was false and that he had witnessed Gu Qingqiao colluding with the Mantra Sect to kidnap Shaoyi. The Mantra Sect members debated killing Shaoyi, considering him a burden, as their main target was Gu Qingqiao and finding the sacred object. However, when Shaoyi revealed he was the son of Duan Yan of Changqing, they hesitated, recognizing the potential implications.
At the Duan Residence, Duan Yan, having returned and learned of Shaoyi's capture, was furious with Xing Si for his failure to protect his son, threatening him and the Wuyi Guards if Shaoyi was harmed. He ordered Xing Si to immediately summon Magistrate Du for discussions. Xing Si encountered Du Ruoyun, who blamed herself for suggesting the prank revenge that led to Shaoyi's predicament.
Xing Si tried to comfort her, assuring her that Shaoyi was intelligent and would be fine, guarded by fate. He told her to stay safely at home and hurried off to fetch Magistrate Du. Gu Qingqiao and Shaoyi were held captive in a cave, tied up. Shaoyi complained about the rough treatment he received.
Gu Qingqiao, claiming to be tougher and stronger than many men, teased him for his lack of martial arts skills despite his family's reputation, while acknowledging his talent for mechanisms. The Mantra Sect members discussed their plan: using Gu Qingqiao to lure out the Right Guardian to recover the sacred object and gain revenge for past events at Qingfeng, while keeping Duan Yan's son, Shaoyi, for leverage or another purpose. Shaoyi asked Gu Qingqiao why they were captured.
Gu Qingqiao believed the Mantra Sect was looking for a specific object, explaining vaguely that it was "theirs but mine" and not currently on her person, as she had given it to Duan Yu. Shaoyi connected this to the previous incident at Qingfeng. They realized the kidnappers might not kill them immediately if they didn't find the object on her, and Gu Qingqiao proposed using this difference in information to plan their escape, calling it an "information gap."
