Heavenly Sword and Dragon Slaying Sabre Episode 44 Recap
> Heavenly Sword and Dragon Slaying Sabre Recap
Song Qingshu kept following Zhou Zhiruo. Zhou Zhiruo struck him with a palm, injuring him, but Song Qingshu did not dodge. Zhou Zhiruo rode her horse, dragging him along their way. Song Qingshu, unstable from being dragged by the rope, fell to the ground. Only then did Zhou Zhiruo stop. Song Qingshu seized the opportunity to express his feelings to Zhou Zhiruo, promising to settle the score with Zhang Wuji.
Zhou Zhiruo unleashed all her anger on him, forbidding him to mention Zhang Wuji's name, and hitting him with punches and kicks. Song Qingshu vowed to spend his entire life practicing martial arts, to kill Zhang Wuji and avenge Zhou Zhiruo. However, Zhou Zhiruo was completely ungrateful, speaking harshly to him. Yet, Song Qingshu did not give up, willingly staying by her side. Zhang Wuji and Zhao Min spent the night in the mountain forest.
Zhao Min was responsible for roasting the chicken. Zhang Wuji hid to one side, diligently working for a long time, and finally carved a hairpin from a wooden stick, personally placing it in Zhao Min's hair. Zhang Wuji then helped Zhao Min style her bun, naturally recalling the time he helped his mother style her hair when he was a child.
Zhang Wuji felt that Zhao Min was as beautiful as his mother, and irresistibly leaned in to kiss Zhao Min, but Zhao Min suddenly fainted to the ground. Zhou Zhiruo brought Song Qingshu back to the Emei sect. Ding Minjun mocked them and condemned Zhou Zhiruo for bringing shame upon Emei. Zhou Zhiruo was at a loss for words, so Song Qingshu spoke up for her.
Ding Minjun harshly scolded Song Qingshu, calling him a thief, and forced Zhou Zhiruo to hand over the sect leader's iron ring, telling her to take Song Qingshu and get out of Emei. Zhou Zhiruo was completely enraged and attacked Ding Minjun, beating her black and blue with just a few punches and kicks. Zhou Zhiruo, in a fit of pique, wanted to kill her to cleanse the sect.
The disciples quickly pleaded for Ding Minjun, and Ding Minjun hastily knelt down and begged for mercy. Zhou Zhiruo severely reprimanded Ding Minjun and publicly declared that Song Qingshu was a distinguished guest, forbidding anyone to disrespect him. Zhao Min finally woke up. Zhang Wuji had been by her side, taking care of her. Zhao Min felt unwell all over, and her heart was racing.
Zhang Wuji discovered that his Nine Yang Divine Skill had not cured Zhao Min; instead, it had caused the poison to circulate within her body. Zhang Wuji could only advise Zhao Min to rest and recuperate. Zhao Min did not want to delay him from rescuing Xie Xun, so she revealed the news that Xie Xun was imprisoned in Shaolin Temple, urging Zhang Wuji to rescue him as soon as possible.
It turned out that Zhao Min had learned about Xie Xun from a mole she had planted in Shaolin and had even obtained a lock of Xie Xun's hair from the mole. Zhao Min did not want to burden Zhang Wuji, so she urged him to go rescue Xie Xun quickly. Zhang Wuji was moved to tears by her profound righteousness and instinctively embraced Zhao Min tightly.
Zhou Zhiruo officially accepted Song Qingshu as an Emei disciple and had him perform a kneeling ritual before the spirit tablets of past sect leaders. Zhou Zhiruo ordered Ding Minjun to atone for her sins by performing meritorious deeds: go to the war zone to recruit orphans and bring them back to raise, thus cultivating the next generation for the Emei sect. She dispatched Jing Xuan to Shaolin with a secret letter to discuss a strategy for dominating the world.
Zhou Zhiruo publicly announced that she would personally teach her disciples martial arts, not allowing anyone to pretend to be competent. The disciples, following her command, collectively shouted the slogan, "We must bring glory to Emei and be proud of Emei." Zhou Zhiruo was very pleased, looking exactly like Miejue Shitai reborn. Zhao Min struggled to get up to see Zhang Wuji off.
Zhang Wuji entrusted the shop owner to take good care of her, instructing her to recover well from her injuries and patiently wait for his return. Zhao Min had always been troubled by the bloody incident on Spirit Snake Island, but she worried that she might not live to see the truth revealed. Zhang Wuji firmly believed that Zhao Min was innocent; he irresistibly kissed her. The two embraced deeply and bid each other a reluctant farewell.
Zhou Zhiruo gave Song Qingshu the manuals for "Heart-Shattering Palm" and "Nine Yin White Bone Claw", telling him to take them back and study them thoroughly. Song Qingshu had not expected her to possess such vicious martial arts. Zhou Zhiruo forbade him from asking around and ordered him to master these skills as quickly as possible. Zhang Wuji eventually arrived at a small village at the foot of Shaolin Temple mountain.
He asked a village auntie about places to do farm work. The auntie told him that Shaolin Temple was looking for workers, but strangers were not allowed to enter casually. Since the auntie usually delivered firewood to Shaolin, she agreed to take Zhang Wuji inside. Zhang Wuji followed the auntie to Shaolin Temple to deliver firewood. That night, Zhang Wuji quietly got up, wanting to search for Xie Xun's whereabouts.
He inadvertently saw Yuan Zhen and followed him to the Pagoda Forest where Xie Xun was imprisoned. This was the place where the three eminent Shaolin monks, Du'e, Du Jie, and Du Nan, were in secluded cultivation. Yuan Zhen falsely accused Xie Xun of killing Grandmaster Kong Jian and forced Xie Xun to reveal the whereabouts of the Dragon Slaying Saber, promising to let him leave Shaolin Temple.
The Grandmaster Uncle did not allow Yuan Zhen to make casual promises to Xie Xun, but Yuan Zhen believed the Dragon Slaying Saber was paramount and intended to settle accounts with Xie Xun three years later. The Grandmaster Uncle had no choice but to let him be. Yuan Zhen forced Xie Xun to disclose the Dragon Slaying Saber's whereabouts, threatening him with severe consequences in three days if he refused.
After Yuan Zhen left, Zhang Wuji accidentally made a stone under his foot clatter. Du Jie, Du'e, and Du Nan simultaneously attacked Zhang Wuji. Zhang Wuji had no choice but to use his Nine Yang Divine Skill and Cosmic Shift to retaliate. He explained his desire to befriend Shaolin and earnestly pleaded for Xie Xun. However, they all harbored an irreconcilable hatred for the Ming Cult and completely disregarded Zhang Wuji's explanations. Du'e immediately trapped Zhang Wuji with iron chains.
Zhang Wuji exposed the fact that Yuan Zhen was Cheng Kun and recounted in detail how Cheng Kun had coerced Xie Xun into killing Grandmaster Kong Jian, as well as the truth behind the deaths of Yang Dingtian and his wife. Upon hearing Zhang Wuji's account, Yuan Zhen feared the truth would be exposed and tried to silence Zhang Wuji, but Zhang Wuji thwarted all his attempts. Yuan Zhen then fled in a panic.
Zhang Wuji, having received permission from the three eminent monks, immediately went to rescue Xie Xun. Xie Xun, aware of his grave sins, was willing to stay there to cultivate himself and atone. Despite Zhang Wuji's desperate pleas, Xie Xun insisted on remaining. Du'e urged Zhang Wuji to leave quickly. Xie Xun admonished Zhang Wuji to be a man of integrity.
Zhang Wuji, with Xie Xun being his only remaining kin, cried and begged him to leave together, but Xie Xun's mind was made up. Zhang Wuji reluctantly knelt and bid farewell with tears in his eyes. He implored the three eminent monks to release Xie Xun, but they were also under orders to guard Xie Xun there and could only promise that Yuan Zhen would not harm a single hair on Xie Xun's head.
