Go Princess, Go! Episode 33 Recap
> Go Princess, Go! Recap
Zhang Pengpeng put on her battle attire and chased after Qi Sheng. She wanted to join Qi Sheng on the battlefield to face the enemy, but Qi Sheng ordered his guards to stop Zhang Pengpeng and lovingly told her to stay alive. Zhang Pengpeng found the guard who stopped her to be very familiar. He told her that he was Yang Su, Yang Yan's older brother.
Zhang Pengpeng tried to get close to him to let her go, but Yang Su sternly refused. Lv Li arrived and used a trick to hold back Yang Su, allowing Zhang Pengpeng to reach the city wall and meet Qi Sheng. Zhang Pengpeng and Qi Sheng displayed their affection together, causing the soldiers to chuckle. The Northern Desert army below the city brought a woman tied to a cart; this person was Jiang Yingyue.
The Northern Desert leader asked Qi Sheng whether he wanted Pingning City or the woman. Qi Sheng worried that no matter what choice he made, he would be criticized. Zhang Pengpeng said she would help Qi Sheng. She ascended the city wall and verbally humiliated the Northern Desert leader. The Northern Desert leader was enraged, and arrows were shot towards Zhang Pengpeng. Qi Sheng shielded her from the arrows and fainted from his injuries.
Jiang Yingyue saw Qi Sheng hit by an arrow and shed tears of sorrow. The Northern Desert army was about to take advantage of the chaos to attack Pingning City. At this critical moment, Zhang Pengpeng plunged an arrow into her own arm and ordered the soldiers to shout, "Her Royal Highness the Empress has been shot!" Qi Sheng and Zhang Pengpeng were finally escorted back to the general's mansion.
Qi Sheng's arrow wound was very severe; the arrowhead was only two inches from his internal organs. Removing the arrow was fraught with danger. Qi Sheng worried he wouldn't survive and gave his last instructions to Zhang Pengpeng, who was deeply saddened upon hearing them. The imperial physician removed the arrow for Qi Sheng inside the room, while Zhang Pengpeng was very agitated outside.
The next day, after Zhang Pengpeng woke up, Qi Sheng told her that Zhao Wang had returned and Pingning City was relieved. Qi Sheng told Zhang Pengpeng "I love you," and the lovers finally tasted the sweetness of love. Zhao Wang returned to Pingning City early and rendered great service, so Qi Sheng decided to reward him handsomely. Zhao Wang told Qi Sheng and Zhang Pengpeng that he found Jiang Yingyue in the Tartar camp.
Jiang Yingyue told him that the Northern Desert Tartars besieged Pingning City because the Ninth Prince had tipped them off. Qi Sheng was very troubled by the Ninth Prince's treasonous act. The Northern Desert suffered a great defeat, and all of the Ninth Prince's hopes were shattered. He contemplated death. Yang Yan used his own life to persuade the Ninth Prince to live, and the Ninth Prince was deeply moved.
Yang Yan felt pity for the Ninth Prince and hugged him, weeping uncontrollably. Zhang Pengpeng couldn't understand why the Ninth Prince would commit treason. She believed that the moment the Ninth Prince allied with the Tartars to attack Pingning City, he was also abandoning her. The Southern Xia army achieved victory, capturing the Tartar emperor and his consorts. Qi Sheng ordered the army to return to the capital.
