First Romance Episode 4 Recap
> First Romance Recap
Yan Ke's father, having felt guilty for forgetting his son's birthday, finally became willing to let him pursue his musical dreams. Enrollment for the music academy required him to hurry to Beijing by Sunday. At the same time, Xiong Yifan's dream of attending Suhua University finally seemed within reach; she only needed to participate in an out-of-province competition on Sunday and win a placing to qualify for admission without examination.
Before their respective departures, both remembered their agreement to meet at the piano room on Sunday and wait for each other. At the last moment, they still chose to go to the appointment, even if just to say goodbye. They both almost simultaneously raced towards the school's piano room. When Xiong Yifan pushed open the large door, all she saw was an empty room. The teacher's urging made it impossible for Xiong Yifan to wait any longer.
Anxious to catch the bus, she unintentionally left the candy box in her pocket behind in the piano room. Ever since they met, Xiong Yifan would always toss Yan Ke a piece of candy when they met, which would eventually melt in their mouths, sweetening their hearts. When Yan Ke hurried there, the forgotten candy box proved that Xiong Yifan had been there. He searched all over the school but couldn't find her.
From then on, Yan Ke put a smiley face sticker on the candy box and never let it leave his side, as if Xiong Yifan had never left him. Yan Ke always remembered that Xiong Yifan had mentioned Suhua University, her dream school. In order to meet Xiong Yifan again, Yan Ke chose Suhua without hesitation when selecting universities. On the day the results were released, Yan Ke anxiously searched for Qi Xiaosong's name.
Little did he know that while he was disappointed by Qi Xiaosong's decision to abandon his studies, the person he truly longed for had already appeared below his own name. During their student years, meeting by chance was always filled with regrets. But the inevitability of meeting in university was the reward for persistence, giving fate a chance to be fulfilled. Yan Ke and Xiong Yifan walked alone on the street.
The awkwardness and shyness from the forceful kiss the previous day were dispersed by a driving school flyer. The driving school's buy-one-get-one-free promotion gave Yan Ke a reason to sign up. Only when practicing driving did Xiong Yifan learn that he already knew how to drive. Xiong Yifan's clumsy appearance angered the instructor, but it also gave Yan Ke a chance to teach her personally.
In the small space of the car, the slightly closer distance filled the air with ambiguity. To practice more skillfully, Yan Ke planned to drive his own car and take Xiong Yifan to the suburbs for practice, and he thoughtfully prepared many snacks. On the road, Yan Ke, whose hands were occupied with driving, gave Xiong Yifan a reason to feed him.
As she personally brushed away the crumbs from the corner of his mouth, the little deer in her heart felt like it was going to leap out. To avoid a wild dog that suddenly appeared on the road, Yan Ke braked sharply, causing a tire blowout. With no cell signal, the two had to walk in the wilderness. Fortunately, they came across a house and were taken in by kind people.
With limited conditions, a single man and woman sharing a room naturally felt both anxious and full of anticipation. While Yan Ke was showering, Xiong Yifan couldn't help but fantasize about his alluring physique, which made her blush. However, this flutter was instantly replaced by "mockery" when Yan Ke returned wearing floral pajamas. The two of them slept in the same bed, feeling shy even at the slightest movement, only able to lie still like puppets.
Even for a small matter like turning off the light, they would anticipate all sorts of worries in their minds, wondering if it would make the other person have strange thoughts. In the end, they could only pretend to be asleep to hide their respective anxieties. Late at night, Xiong Yifan suddenly felt discomfort in her abdomen. She got up and went out to relieve herself.
On her way back, she met Yan Ke, who had come because he was worried about her. The wilderness path was difficult to walk, so they naturally held each other's hands. As if to cater to this budding couple, swarms of fireflies danced, their flashing lights creating a natural romance. The probability of encountering a wild dog and having a tire blowout on the road is not high, and encountering swarms of fireflies is even rarer.
Xiong Yifan's appearance as she wholeheartedly chased the fireflies made it difficult for Yan Ke to take his eyes off her. He reached out his hand and placed it above her head in the air; that gentle, doting look in his eyes said it all.
