Resumen del episodio 22 de Generation to Generation
> Resúmenes de Generation to Generation
Mu Qingyan meticulously arranges for his subordinate to pose as a fortune teller to intercept Zhou Yuqi. After using a confusing incense to loosen the young man's tongue, the subordinate listens as Zhou Yuqi reveals the struggle in his heart. Since childhood, he has been deeply in love with his sworn sister, Min Xinrou, who sought refuge with his family after her own fell on hard times.
Though his father arranged a prestigious marriage for him when he was twelve to secure his position as the Family Head, Zhou Yuqi remains torn. He admits that while his fiancée, Cai Zhao, is clever and beautiful, she is also strong enough to thrive without him, whereas Min Xinrou would have no future if he abandoned her. Seizing the moment, the man offers him a tea infused with a potion called "Coward's Courage."
After drinking it, the sudden surge of boldness convinces Zhou Yuqi to finally break off the betrothal. Meanwhile, Cai Zhao is still lost in the memory of Mu Qingyan’s recent kiss when Zhou Yuqi arrives. He tells her plainly that he wants to end their engagement, confessing that he feels mediocre and intimidated by her strength and decisiveness. He claims to desire a wife who is gentle and virtuous, traits he associates with Min Xinrou.
Cai Zhao, far from being heartbroken, readily agrees to call off the wedding. While she is relieved, her fifth senior, Fan Xingjia, is furious at the insult and wants to retaliate. However, You Guanyue acts quickly to spread the news of the broken engagement throughout the town and the Jianghu. By the next morning, Zhou Yuqi has already left with Min Xinrou to inform his family elders.
Cai Zhao quickly deduces that Mu Qingyan orchestrated the rapid spread of the news and confronts him. Mu Qingyan feigns innocence, claiming he was merely helping a pair of "unfortunate mandarin ducks" and suggesting that Cai Zhao only wanted the marriage for the wealth of Peiqiong Manor. Later, Zhou Yuqi and Min Xinrou unexpectedly return to apologize. The seniors, still protective of Cai Zhao, give Zhou Yuqi a harsh beating to vent their anger.
Cai Zhao eventually leaves a letter claiming she needs to travel to clear her mind, but she secretly joins Mu Qingyan on a mission to find the Shi brothers. As they begin their journey, Nie Zhe is consumed by a desire for revenge against Mu Qingyan but is stopped by a mysterious man in black. The stranger promises that Mu Qingyan will voluntarily show up at their doorstep in a few days.
Unaware of this looming threat, Cai Zhao and Mu Qingyan travel through difficult terrain. When she becomes exhausted, Mu Qingyan tenderly carries her on his back. They eventually reach a scenic mountain peak where they are surrounded by colorful butterflies. The tranquil, poetic environment momentarily captivates them both. Back at the sect, Qi Yunke arrives and is worried about Cai Zhao's disappearance.
He warns Song Yuzhi and the others about the dangers of the demonic sect, comparing Mu Qingyan to a wolf invited into one's home. He instructs his disciples to search for Cai Zhao secretly and orders them to kill any demonic cult members found with her. Cai Zhao and Mu Qingyan eventually take shelter from a storm.
Mu Qingyan shares stories of his father, who studied medicine in hopes of living as an itinerant physician far from the conflicts of the Jianghu. This knowledge proves useful when Cai Zhao begins eating an excessive amount of Hexagonal Persimmons to find a specific childhood taste that might lead them to the Shi brothers. Mu Qingyan warns her that the fruit is "cold" in nature and uses his inner power to help her digestion, preventing her from falling ill.
Using the taste of the persimmons as a guide, they track the Shi brothers to a specific town. To lure them out, they rent a stall and pretend to sell the Sunshine Blade, a famous weapon belonging to Cai Pingshu. Cai Zhao demands an outrageous price of 100,000 taels. An old man approaches, mocking the blade’s appearance but acknowledging its sharpness before leaving. Suspicious, the pair follows him into the outskirts.
Though they suspect the old man is an agent for Nie Zhe, they are eventually cornered by a large group of experts. Realizing they are vastly outnumbered and facing a sophisticated formation, Cai Zhao and Mu Qingyan are forced to jump into a river to escape the trap.
