Resumen del episodio 14 de Generation to Generation
> Resúmenes de Generation to Generation
Cai Zhao and Song Yuzhi successfully escaped the Li Sect’s lair with the villagers, who were deeply grateful for their rescue. However, the mood shifted when the talk turned to the "corpse slaves." Village Chief Gui revealed the horrific nature of these monsters—mindless, rotting creatures controlled by others. He recalled how his own nephew had been turned into one years ago.
To find a way to stop this refinement process, the Chief led the group to the Jiuzhou Archive, a long-forgotten repository of sect records. Inside the archive, they encountered Yan Xu, the Sect’s Elder Scribe, who had been chained and imprisoned by Nie Zhe for refusing to falsify the sect’s history. Yan Xu was an old friend of the Chief and revealed that he had helped save Mu Qingyan’s life a year ago when the latter was gravely injured.
Drawing from his knowledge of ancient texts, Yan Xu identified Shanci Mushrooms as the core ingredient of the corpse poison and suggested that an herbal remedy found near the mushrooms’ source could suppress their effects. While searching for the herbs in the back mountain, Cai Zhao noticed the Li Sect was already harvesting the mushrooms in bulk to accelerate their production of slaves. Suddenly, a signal rang out, and the sect members retreated toward the Xuanwu Altar.
Cai Zhao realized that Mu Qingyan had launched his final assault and that the sect intended to use the slaves against him. Before joining the battle, Cai Zhao insisted on testing the herbal remedy on herself, revealing to a shocked Song Yuzhi that she had already been bitten by a corpse worm during their escape. Meanwhile, Mu Qingyan’s forces laid siege to the Xuanwu Altar.
To solidify his standing within the sect, Mu Qingyan ordered You Guanyue to duel the brutal Xiong Qianjin. Despite his reputation for being a cautious flatterer, You Guanyue fought with desperate ferocity and eventually killed Xiong. The battle grew more dire when Yu Huiyin used zither music to control a swarm of unstoppable corpse slaves. In the chaos, Shangguan Haonan revealed himself as Mu Qingyan’s mole and turned against the loyalists.
The confrontation turned personal when Xing’er appeared as a mindless slave and stabbed You Guanyue. Just as Mu Qingyan was being overwhelmed, Cai Zhao arrived and used the herbal powder to neutralize the slaves. Yu Huiyin fled, and Mu Qingyan, exhausted and still suffering from lingering poison, collapsed. When Mu Qingyan regained consciousness, he found Cai Zhao at his side.
However, his relief turned to jealousy when she mentioned returning to the Qingque Sect with Song Yuzhi once a permanent cure was found. He pulled her into a possessive embrace, refusing to let her go. During their exchange, he noticed her symptoms of corpse poisoning and tried to physically examine her to check the severity, leading to a frantic and awkward misunderstanding when the others burst into the room.
As Mu Qingyan began purging traitors from the ranks to restore order, Nie Zhe sought out his senior brother in a secluded hut. The senior, whose legs had been severed years ago by Cai Pingshu, agreed to help Nie Zhe lure Mu Qingyan into a lethal trap. Seeking a way to identify the mysterious poison in his own body, Mu Qingyan consulted Yan Xu again.
While Yan Xu was uncertain, Cai Zhao recalled a memory of Mu Qingyan's mother, Lady Sun, collecting dew late at night near the Youming Path for her "medicinal flowers." Realizing this might lead to a secret herbal garden and a potential cure for both her and Mu Qingyan, the group prepared to investigate the hidden site.
