Resumen del episodio 16 de Generation to Generation
> Resúmenes de Generation to Generation
Seeking the truth behind the strained relationship between Mu Qingyan and his mother, Sun Ruoshui, Cai Zhao approached You Guanyue for details. She learned that years ago, Sun Ruoshui, the daughter of Mu Qingyan’s father’s mentor, sought refuge with Mu Zhengming by claiming she had nowhere else to go. Though Mu Zhengming was an upright man, he was eventually swayed by her persistence.
However, Sun Ruoshui secretly maintained an affair with Nie Zhe and even slandered Mu Zhengming’s dignity by claiming Mu Qingyan was actually Nie Zhe’s biological son. This rumor only subsided as Mu Qingyan grew up to be the exact image of his true father. Shortly after, Sun Ruoshui visited Cai Zhao’s quarters, feigning the role of a refined lady.
Cai Zhao, who harbored a deep loathing for the woman, did not hide her disdain, pointedly noting that unlike Sun Ruoshui, she had never abandoned Mu Qingyan. Sun Ruoshui attempted to gain sympathy by portraying herself as a helpless victim held captive by Nie Zhe. Unmoved, Cai Zhao secretly added a potent laxative to Sun Ruoshui’s tea.
Though Sun Ruoshui sensed the trick and tried to force Cai Zhao to drink with her before spilling the cup, the drug was so strong that merely smelling it was enough to take effect, leaving Sun Ruoshui in an undignified rush to the latrine. Later that night, Mu Qingyan visited Cai Zhao with a pillow in hand, jokingly claiming he couldn't sleep.
Cai Zhao recounted how she had outmaneuvered Sun Ruoshui’s attempt to use a sleeping potion by using the laxative instead. Mu Qingyan was relieved to see Cai Zhao could handle his mother’s malice. However, the atmosphere shifted when Mu Qingyan appeared to suffer a sudden poison flare-up. Sun Ruoshui arrived and immediately accused Cai Zhao of poisoning her son, questioning why he was in her room at dawn.
Cai Zhao fired back, noting that Mu Qingyan had been fine for months until his mother arrived. On Cai Zhao's orders, the intruder was forcibly removed. In reality, the entire scene was a calculated performance by Mu Qingyan and Cai Zhao to deceive the enemy. The following day, Mu Qingyan took Cai Zhao to a dilapidated shack in the wilderness, the place where he had been kept like a beast for the first five years of his life.
He revealed that shortly after his birth, Nie Zhe had severed his tendons and forced Sun Ruoshui to abandon him there to prevent him from ever becoming a threat. He lived in darkness until his father recovered from his own injuries and rescued him. His father exhausted his inner power to rebuild Mu Qingyan’s meridians, leading to his premature death.
Mu Qingyan eventually realized that the real poison that had slowly killed his father was "Suzi Fragrance," which Sun Ruoshui had applied to his father’s Fuying Sword. While Mu Qingyan vowed to fulfill his father's wish to provide for his mother, his plan was to keep her in comfort but total, lifelong solitude. Thinking Mu Qingyan was on the verge of death, Sun Ruoshui returned to the Li Sect and informed Nie Zhe.
Believing the threat was neutralized, Nie Zhe planned a celebration and promised to officially make Sun Ruoshui his wife. During the banquet, a tense confrontation occurred between Sun Ruoshui and Ruxin, Nie Zhe's original wife, who lamented that the sect had lost its former integrity and was now filled with betrayal and shamelessness. Meanwhile, Nie Zhe sent the strategist Yu Huiyin to reclaim the altars.
You Guanyue held the front at the Xuanwu Altar, putting on a show of confidence that made the suspicious Yu Huiyin hesitate. By the time Yu Huiyin realized it was a diversion and sent word back to the palace, Mu Qingyan and Cai Zhao had already infiltrated through the back mountain. Mu Qingyan and Cai Zhao entered Bliss Palace disguised as guards. When they revealed themselves, Mu Qingyan challenged Nie Zhe for the leadership of the sect.
During the duel, Nie Zhe released a powder made from Qianxun Wood, a catalyst for the Suzi Fragrance already in Mu Qingyan’s system. Nie Zhe boastfully revealed that the poison was odorless, colorless, and had no cure—the same poison that consumed Mu Qingyan’s father. As Cai Zhao demanded an antidote from Sun Ruoshui, the floor gave way, and the pair fell into a trap—a cage forged from refined dark iron.
Nie Zhe then released Erosion Ants, a deadly swarm that feeds on flesh. Observing the ants, Mu Qingyan deduced that the controller must be nearby and realized that Han Yisu, one of Nie Hengcheng’s original disciples, was still alive and orchestrating the trap.
