> Die Now Recap

The game begins with Chun Xuxiang and Bo Bian observing Xia Chi's every move on a large screen. Early in the game, Six (6) presses a number, killing One (1). Xia Chi, masked and blindfolded, stands in the center of the arena. He muses that standing in front of the safe offers no advantage and is about to leave when another masked person attacks him, causing him to faint. Soon after, Xia Chi gets back up.

Chun Xuxiang, unable to watch further, wants to speak with Xia Chi, but Bo Bian warns her that they only have three communication opportunities. At this moment, another masked person approaches Xia Chi, informing numbers Four (4) and Five (5) of danger, despite clearly being Four (4) himself. Xia Chi believes Six (6) is more dangerous because he killed One (1). Four (4) then states that killing Xia Chi is irrelevant and departs.

Bo Bian and Chun Xuxiang, watching on the screen, suspect Four (4)'s words imply Xia Chi's button has been pressed. To confirm, they request to speak with Xia Chi. Xia Chi checks and finds his button is still intact, the same two as before.

Bo Bian advises Xia Chi that his current task is to gather information on each player, locate Six (6), and ask why he extinguished his light, emphasizing that this action is very important and Xia Chi can utilize it when necessary. While they are speaking, Five (5) knocks out Xia Chi, causing him to fall from upstairs. However, Xia Chi is not dead, as his points have not yet been fully deducted.

Five (5) is then seen tracking Two (2), an observation made by Xia Chi. Having encountered other numbers, Xia Chi suspects he is Three (3) and proceeds to confirm this. At this point, Four (4), who had previously spared Xia Chi, returns to attack him again, knocking him out. Bo Bian, observing the game, now understands that the game's outcome is not a simple reset but a superposition or overlay of events.

Xia Chi reopens his eyes, struggles to his feet, and receives a message: "This round's reset game incurs no point deduction." Xia Chi goes to warn Two (2) and discovers that the conversation is identical to his previous encounter with Four (4). This leads him to a startling realization: there are no NPCs; every person here is himself. To obtain the ring, he must kill himself. With only himself remaining, the task becomes simpler: kill himself.

Xia Chi proceeds to kill Three (3) and Four (4), finally presses the only two remaining buttons, and obtains the "Hand-in-Hand Ring." However, the scene then freezes and becomes static. Everyone appears to be paused. Everything restarts. Xia Chi finds himself trapped in a death loop within this game, destined to repeat until his life is gone. Qing Zhi is also caught in such a death loop. Chun Xuxiang shouts loudly, questioning what "Brain" truly desires.

The GM responds that "Brain" is not looking for problem-solvers, but individuals with unwavering will. If one cannot overcome despair, they are deemed unworthy of "Brain's" requirements. Xia Chi awakens once more. He repeatedly kills himself, having experienced everything before. All the familiar sensations return. Xia Chi seems to see Qing Zhi, recognizing her predicament as identical to his own, both trapped in a death loop.

Xia Chi calms himself, reasoning that "Brain" cannot predict the future, and no one can. He finally devises a solution. In this new iteration, Xia Chi approaches the safe but does not take the ring. He understands that only by allowing Six (6) to take the ring can he win the game. Six (6) then eliminates Xia Chi and reaches for the ring.
