Meanwhile, Qi Yuanbao and Chang Yue were in the midst of dual cultivation to retrieve a soul, following the instructions from a peculiar script by Hu Bulin.
They began with a kiss and were about to proceed with undressing when a subordinate frantically reported that humans had broken through the barrier and entered Beiming. Qi Yuanbao and Chang Yue rushed to the scene, finding the entrance under Huo Shuyai's control. Qi Yuanbao's father also arrived, observing the chaos caused by the puppet slaves. Huo Shuyai declared that since the Qishan Sect members were present, he would ensure their demise.
Qi Yuanbao confronted him, calling him insane, but Huo Shuyai retorted that she was responsible for pushing him to this extreme, accusing her of causing harm to the innocent and her own sect brothers. He further revealed his true intention: to acquire the power of the Lingzi. Qi Yuanbao, understanding his demand for her sacrifice, agreed to it on the condition that he withdraw his puppet slaves immediately.
However, seeing Chang Yue holding Qi Yuanbao's hand, Huo Shuyai's rage intensified, and he vowed that both of them would die without a burial place.
