The footage of their interaction quickly went viral online, with many viewers speculating that their on-screen romance was genuine.
Meanwhile, Liu Yan, upon returning home, furiously called Lin Wan, demanding her money back. Later, Lin Wan met with Zheng Ziyan for dinner and vented her frustrations about not receiving her final payment. She expressed her confusion over Lu Xun's sudden return from abroad to help her without a word. Despite Zheng Ziyan's repeated attempts to highlight his own merits, Lin Wan remained uninterested.
