Noticing her surprised expression, Lu Xun asked if she knew him. Panicked, Lin Chen quickly covered her face, denied knowing him, and rushed away. Once outside, she frantically began packing her belongings, desperate to leave before Lu Xun could recognize her.
She confided in her manager, Meng Jiao, about her painful high school memory of having a crush on Lu Xun and being rejected after confessing her feelings. The memory made her feel utterly humiliated. Lin Chen worried that Lu Xun now thought she was a pervert. She and Meng Jiao were about to escape when a staff member informed them that they had to participate in an upcoming activity.
The staffer explained that since there was no introductory couple, Lin Chen, acting as Miss Lin, might only have a brief appearance and be cut from later tasks, and advised her to exaggerate her reactions onstage to ensure she wouldn't be completely edited out. Meanwhile, a confidential phone call confirmed that Lin Wan's life was not in danger, but she had a brain injury and was currently in a coma. The caller remarked on the striking resemblance between Lin Chen and Lin Wan, noting that anyone else would have assumed Lin Wan was the one injured, and stressed the importance of keeping Lin Wan's true condition a secret. At the campsite, everyone enjoyed the evening.
Meng Ya and her partner took a walk by the lake. Liu Yan complained to her partner, Liu Mo, about a bug bite, and he promptly offered ointment. Observing this, Liu Yan then challenged Lin Chen, asking if she too had been bitten and had brought ointment. Lu Xun intervened, showing Lin Chen a trick to alleviate the itch, then offered her his jacket, noting she was sweating.
Liu Yan continued to provoke Lin Chen, who eventually conceded defeat in their unspoken competition. Lu Xun then asked Lin Chen if she wanted to win, and she replied yes. Following this exchange, Lin Chen leaned in and passionately kissed Lu Xun.
