As Liu Yan stood, attempting to confirm if the person before her was Lin Chen or Lin Wan, Lin Chen abruptly rose, facing Liu Yan defiantly. Lin Chen asked what Liu Yan wanted to see, then questioned why she seemed to appear everywhere.
She taunted Liu Yan about her sister possibly being at the university, claiming to have informed her sister of all Liu Yan's actions and warning that her sister was not as kind as she was, asking if Liu Yan still wished to meet her. Finally, Lin Chen bluntly told Liu Yan to focus on filming her own show. With that, Liu Yan was led away.
After Liu Yan and her companion departed, Lu Xun chastised Lin Chen, expressing concern over the dangerous situation she had put herself in, especially knowing about her allergy. However, Lin Chen was barely listening, her mind replaying the moment Lu Xun had kissed her. Noticing her distraction, Lu Xun quickly softened his tone, offering to escort her back. Lin Chen declined, stating she had another exam, to which Lu Xun offered to wait.
She refused again, mentioning that Meng Jiao would pick her up. Later, Lin Chen confided in Meng Jiao, admitting that she believed she had fallen for Lu Xun. Meng Jiao reacted with exasperation, reminding Lin Chen of their upcoming meet-and-greet and the need to decide on her outfit, questioning how Lin Chen could fall for her childhood crush again after six years. Meng Jiao advised Lin Chen to directly confront Lu Xun about her feelings.
Lin Chen was hesitant, recalling a previous rejection and expressing her embarrassment, especially with their contract still in effect, requiring them to live in the same house. Meng Jiao then suggested testing Lu Xun first to gauge his interest before confessing, explaining that confessing was like fighting; one must land a hit before shouting their move to win. Meanwhile, Lu Xun's friend, after learning Lin Chen was angry with Lu Xun, suggested using fan fiction tropes to win her back, highlighting "three criterions" from stories written by their fans. The friend showed Lu Xun a fan fiction about him making Lin Chen angry and then successfully persuading her.
