Synopsis
The spoiled young lady from a prestigious matchmaking family, Shi Fa ke, has always believed in the creed of "seize pleasure when life is happy." With a modest but consistent record of completing only one matchmaking case per month, she works at the Official Matchmaking Bureau. The Marquis of Wu'an seeks to rebel through marital alliances, prompting the emperor to send the master of Qianya Mountain, Lu Chi, down from the mountains to thwart the plot. Lu Chi also hopes to find the little sister who once helped him in his childhood to repay her kindness.
By chance, Shi Fake encounters Lu Chi and tries to recruit him as a "joyful guest" (a matchmaking assistant), while Lu Chi needs the resources of the Official Matchmaking Bureau for his mission. The two form an alliance, each with their own motives. On Shi Fake’s coming-of-age birthday, her parents are wrongfully imprisoned, and her title of "Number One Matchmaker in the Realm" is stripped away. Determined to restore her family’s honor, she resolves to rise again.
Lu Chi unexpectedly discovers that Shi Fake is the very little sister he had been searching for. Touched by her resilience in adversity, he gradually develops feelings for her. As the Official Matchmaking Bureau becomes fraught with danger, Lu Chi decides to stay by Shi Fake’s side, helping her handle matchmaking cases and protecting her while simultaneously aiding the emperor and embarking on his pursuit of love.
