Beautiful Reborn Flower Episode 20 Recap
> Beautiful Reborn Flower Recap
Han Sen was diligently cooking, attempting to impress. Lin Heping arrived at Qiao Man's apartment, asking for her. Han Sen, seeing Lin Heping, deliberately started showing off his culinary skills and boasted about cooking for Qiao Man, even mentioning their frequent gatherings in Spain. Lin Heping, observing the spectacle, declined Han Sen's invitation to stay for dinner and left, internally dismissing Han Sen's behavior as childish posturing.
Meanwhile, Qiao Man was dealing with a pressing matter for Ben, pretending to be his girlfriend to appease his creditors who had cornered him in a karaoke bar. She was angry with Ben for his irresponsible actions and urged him to find a proper job. After resolving the issue, Qiao Man hurried to the airport to meet her sister, Qiao Fang. They traveled to Shenzhen to find He Jianfeng's aunt, Wen Jing, to discuss his care.
Wen Jing, however, was still deeply resentful towards Qiao Fang for abandoning Jianfeng years ago. She expressed disbelief at Qiao Fang's sudden appearance now that Jianfeng was in a coma and stated that she had already entrusted Jianfeng's care to Li Ping Pavilion, the company he worked for. Qiao Fang immediately suspected Li Ping Pavilion of having ulterior motives and urged Qiao Man to expose them. Qiao Man hesitated, explaining that she lacked confirmed evidence.
Wen Jing dismissed their claims, calling Qiao Fang "crazy" for suggesting Li Ping Pavilion was paying her for Jianfeng's care, and abruptly left. Qiao Fang, feeling betrayed, accused Qiao Man of protecting Lin Heping and expressed her deep disappointment before leaving in a fit of anger. Qiao Man felt caught in the middle, unable to please either of them. Back at Qiao Man's apartment, Han Sen and Xiao Zhi continued to wait for Qiao Man.
Xiao Zhi complained of hunger, but Han Sen insisted they wait for Qiao Man, even until breakfast if necessary. Lin Heping, watching from across the street, found their open door and deliberate waiting childish and clearly staged for his benefit. Frustrated by Qiao Man's absence, Han Sen vented his anger at Xiao Zhi, who rationally pointed out that Qiao Man had called to say she and Qiao Fang were busy.
Xiao Zhi also questioned Li Ping Pavilion's secretive handling of He Jianfeng's situation and Qiao Fang's failure to report for work because of it. Han Sen told her to stop speculating and instead call Luo Chen to sign their new company's contract. Later, at home, Qiao Fang remained furious. She declared that Lin Heping held too much importance for Qiao Man and vowed to use the media to find He Jianfeng, as she could no longer wait.
Qiao Man pleaded with her sister not to make a public spectacle, fearing it would harm innocent people before the full truth emerged. Seeing Qiao Man's reluctance, Qiao Fang accused her of protecting Lin Heping and ordered her to leave. Qiao Man, understanding her sister's desperation but firm in her belief that unsubstantiated accusations would be detrimental, left the house, silently resolving to find the truth carefully.
At the company, Qiao Man spoke with Lin Heping, lamenting that she had missed an opportunity to inform Wen Jing of the truth in Shenzhen. She reaffirmed her commitment to waiting until He Jianfeng woke up for the full truth to be revealed. Lin Heping tried to comfort her, advising her to keep Qiao Fang from getting further involved. Qiao Man, however, suspected that Lin Heping was trying to protect Xu Ah Li and the company.
Meanwhile, Wen Jing called Yang Lan to inform her about Qiao Man and Qiao Fang's visit. Yang Lan, in turn, relayed this to Xu Ah Li. Ah Li, furious, confronted Lin Heping, accusing him of providing Qiao Man with Wen Jing's whereabouts. Lin Heping dismissed her concerns, stating he didn't consider the information a secret. Angered by his perceived indifference, Ah Li declared she would no longer share any information about He Jianfeng with him.
Internally, Lin Heping reflected that he only cared about the matter because of Qiao Man. To secure control over He Jianfeng, Ah Li instructed Yang Lan to pay Wen Jing an additional 30,000 RMB and warn her that if she granted anyone else permission to care for Jianfeng, Li Ping Pavilion would withdraw all financial support. Later, Qiao Man encountered Ah Li, who coldly mocked her for neglecting her work duties.
Qiao Man firmly stated that she would not leave the company until He Jianfeng was found and boldly predicted that Chairman Yan would reprimand Ah Li when he learned the truth. Ah Li, losing her composure, lashed out, publicly labeling Qiao Man a "rotten apple." Unable to make progress, a desperate Qiao Fang sought legal advice from a lawyer, Mr. Li.
He analyzed her situation and concluded that since she was not legally married to He Jianfeng and his aunt had authorized Li Ping Pavilion's care, she had no legal standing. When Qiao Fang suggested suing the company for framing Jianfeng, the lawyer advised against it, pointing out her lack of evidence and warning that such a move would put them at a disadvantage. Qiao Fang was left anxious and furious.
Separately, Han Sen and Luo Chen formally signed an agreement to establish "Yi Pin Pictures of An Group." Luo Chen expressed his ambition to make it a leading company. They began discussing their strategy to recruit film star Xue Lai, whose management contract was nearing its end. Han Sen assured them that with the backing of An Group, signing her would be an "easy one." Coincidentally, Li Ping Pavilion also aimed to sign Xue Lai.
During a company meeting, Zhuo Yang presented a detailed profile of Xue Lai, emphasizing her immense market value but also her reputation for being "high maintenance" and difficult to work with. Ah Li, noting the challenge, shockingly assigned the task of signing Xue Lai to Qiao Man. Qiao Man questioned the assignment, suggesting Ah Li was intentionally giving her an impossible task.
To her dismay, Lin Heping supported Ah Li, stating it was Qiao Man's job and giving her a month to complete it. Qiao Man silently fumed, suspecting that Lin Heping and Ah Li were conspiring to keep her busy and distracted from the He Jianfeng investigation. Ah Li later confronted Lin Heping about his unexpected support. Lin Heping calmly stated his belief in separating public and private matters and criticized Ah Li for being too harsh in public.
Ah Li admitted her anger stemmed from how deeply she cared for him and confessed she missed their simpler days of building the company together. Lin Heping gently suggested she find another man, but Ah Li confessed her heart had been stolen and her goal was to build a home with him.
Lin Heping remained silent, his mind drifting into memories of the past with Nan Sheng, wishing they could return to those uncomplicated times before his relationship with Ah Li became so complicated. In a flashback, Zhen Sheng dutifully looked after Nan Sheng on Lin Heping's behalf.
Nan Sheng confided in Zhen Sheng, expressing concern that Lin Heping was becoming obsessed with making money under Ah Li's influence, and asked Zhen Sheng to urge his sister to let Lin Heping focus on his studies. Ah Li and an embarrassed Lin Heping were shown setting up a stationery stall outside a university. Despite Lin Heping's discomfort, Ah Li confidently hawked their wares.
Their lives were soon disrupted when Nan Sheng's paternal aunt's husband, Mr. Yao, arrived uninvited at Lin Heping's home, seeking work and lodging. Lin Heping's mother was furious, scolding Mr. Yao for abandoning Nan Sheng's father years ago and refusing to let him stay. Around the same time, Ah Li's affair with Boss Chen was exposed.
Boss Chen's wife confronted Ah Li at her shop, publicly shaming her and destroying her goods, leading to a street brawl that Nan Sheng witnessed. Nan Sheng informed Lin Heping, who rushed to Ah Li's shop, where he found Zhen Sheng attempting to intervene in the chaotic scene.
