Beautiful Reborn Flower Episode 2 Recap
> Beautiful Reborn Flower Recap
Qiao Man arrived wearing the dress Lin Heping had gifted her. Lin Heping approached, offering a coat as the evening might turn chilly at the winery where they met. Qiao Man, initially hesitant about wearing the dress, was now a bit embarrassed but also acknowledged her own beauty. Lin Heping explained that he was there looking for Mr. An and then asked Qiao Man to serve as his interpreter for a visit to customs.
Qiao Man realized he was the "troublesome client" Zhuo Yang had mentioned, and despite her initial reluctance to go to customs, she agreed to help him. Lin Heping instructed her to wait outside the customs office while he went in, promising to update her on everything. Meanwhile, Han Sen returned home to find Peter entertaining a woman. Han Sen, furious, ordered the woman to leave.
Peter, attempting to diffuse Han Sen's anger, provocatively suggested that Qiao Man was about to be "stolen" by Lin Heping. Han Sen, angered by the implication, reiterated that Qiao Man was his. He remembered the past: Qiao Man had been found unconscious on a beach and abducted by foreigners. Han Sen, alerted to her plight, had swiftly intervened, rescuing her from her captors. Later, Qiao Man, feeling indebted, agreed to be his girlfriend.
Now, she told Han Sen she was tired of feeling morally obligated to him, asserting her independence. Han Sen, however, wanted her to remain by his side forever. Qiao Man, with a determined gaze, stated that she would either marry him or remain unmarried for life. With her words, Han Sen, seemingly appeased, departed. Separately, Qiao Fang, Qiao Man's sister, was working as a waitress when her ex-husband, Anthony, confronted her.
He demanded 200,000 for their divorce settlement, but Qiao Fang insisted she had no money. Their argument escalated, with Anthony harassing her and even making unwanted advances. Qiao Fang screamed for help, and the club owner intervened, warning Anthony to desist or face police action. Qiao Man arrived, quickly checking on her sister. Qiao Man then confronted Anthony, telling him to stop harassing Qiao Fang and threatening him with severe consequences if he continued.
She even offered to pay the money on her sister's behalf to make him leave. Lin Heping, accompanied by Mo Hui, eventually met with the customs officer to inquire about his exhibition artworks. To their dismay, the officer informed them that the goods were not in the warehouse, and there was no official record of their presence. Mo Hui was shocked, realizing they had been tricked by individuals posing as police officers.
Qiao Man arrived, quickly understanding the gravity of the situation, and Lin Heping promptly decided they must report the theft to the police. Word of the stolen artworks quickly reached Xu A Li, who immediately called Lin Heping. She expressed her deep concern, emphasizing that any media exposure of the theft could jeopardize the company's crucial plans to go public.
Lin Heping theorized that since the thieves had posed as officials, their motive was financial, and they would likely attempt to sell the artworks in the local artisan markets. He proposed that they should begin their search there. Qiao Man readily offered her assistance, assuring him that her familiarity with the area and local contacts would be invaluable. Lin Heping then instructed Mo Hui to print photographs of all the missing artworks to aid their search.
Meanwhile, Peter brazenly presented the stolen artworks to Han Sen, boasting about his cleverness in posing as a policeman to easily acquire them. Han Sen was furious, vehemently condemning Peter's actions and warning him of the severe legal repercussions. He refused to be involved in selling stolen goods, urging Peter to return them immediately. Peter, however, was unyielding, declaring it was too late and that he would not cower.
He claimed desperation drove his actions and told Han Sen that if he wouldn't help, he should stay out of it, even threatening to end their friendship. Han Sen, angered and disheartened, reluctantly accepted Peter's choice, warning him that he would ultimately regret his decision and no one would be able to save him. Lin Heping and Qiao Man began their meticulous search through the bustling art market, showing the printed photos of the missing artworks to vendors.
During their search, Lin Heping accidentally broke a small craft item and got a minor cut on his finger while negotiating with a vendor. Qiao Man, noticing his injury, promptly went to get bandages and gently dressed his wound. As she cared for him, Lin Heping found himself staring at Qiao Man, a deep sense of deja vu washing over him, remarking to himself how much she resembled Nan Sheng, the woman he had loved and lost.
Later, Xu A Li contacted Lin Heping again, expressing concern over the lack of progress and suggesting they consider postponing the exhibition. Lin Heping firmly rejected the idea, explaining that rescheduling would lead to greater financial losses given all the preparations already made. He assured her he would do everything in his power to recover the artworks before the exhibition. The next day, Qiao Man, still confident, reassured Lin Heping that they would find the missing pieces.
In a bold attempt to rally public support, Qiao Man pulled Lin Heping into a busy restaurant. Standing on a table, she dramatically announced to everyone that Lin Heping's wife had terminal cancer and desperately needed these artworks before she died. She further declared that if anyone helped them find the items, they would receive a substantial reward, and she would even celebrate by streaking through the streets.
Lin Heping, utterly mortified, immediately pulled her down, scolding her for her outlandish claims. Qiao Man defended her actions, saying she was merely exaggerating to gain widespread assistance, but Lin Heping adamantly told her he would never allow her to go running naked. Lin Heping and Mo Hui revisited the art market. Mo Hui's keen eye spotted a familiar vase – one of their lost artworks. Zhuo Yang, who was present, approached the vendor.
Lin Heping, through Zhuo Yang, promised to buy the vase if the vendor revealed its origin. The vendor explained that a man had brought it to him the previous day, offering a good price for its excellent quality. However, he did not know the man and had never seen him before. Lin Heping purchased the vase, confirming that their strategy was yielding results and they were no longer searching aimlessly.
Zhuo Yang then informed Lin Heping that the person delivering the goods was expected to arrive soon with more items. Knowing that a potential confrontation was imminent, Lin Heping, wanting to protect Qiao Man, devised a plan to send her away. He feigned having forgotten his phone in their room and asked her to retrieve it. As Qiao Man left, Lin Heping and Mo Hui headed to the market. Peter soon arrived with another batch of artworks.
Qiao Man, realizing Lin Heping had tricked her and seeing Han Sen's bike nearby, rushed off to find Han Sen. Lin Heping and Mo Hui confronted Peter, leading to a heated argument and a chase through the alleyways. During the commotion, Lin Heping noticed Zhuo Yang secretly taking photos. When questioned, Zhuo Yang denied it, claiming he was trying to call the police.
Later, at the police station, Zhuo Yang appeared visibly nervous about police questioning, which further solidified Lin Heping's suspicion that Zhuo Yang was concealing something. Lin Heping voiced his concerns to Mo Hui, highlighting Zhuo Yang's evasiveness and his denial of taking photos despite Lin Heping having seen him. He was convinced that Zhuo Yang was hiding information from them.
