Lin Heping showed Qiao Man the apartment he had rented for her, conveniently located right across from his own place. Qiao Man was delighted by the spacious, bright rooms and brand-new furniture. Playfully, she joked about whether Lin Heping had installed secret cameras. Lin Heping clarified that he was helping her as a reciprocal gesture for her assistance with the anti-counterfeit plan in Barcelona.

He then cautioned her to be vigilant, revealing that his own house had been burglarized a few days prior, with some art collectibles stolen. Qiao Man was shocked to hear of the theft, expressing concern about staying in an area that had been targeted. Lin Heping assured her the police were investigating and would soon find the culprit.

Meanwhile, A Mao informed Duo that Lin Heping's expensive paintings were impossible to sell because everyone knew they had been acquired through auctions and belonged to Lin Heping. Duo, however, dismissed the paintings as unimportant, emphasizing that the "Riverbank Diary" was their true priority, especially since Lin Heping wanted it back no matter the cost. He chastised A Mao for having sold it for a mere RMB10, explaining that for "arty people," the diary was priceless.

Duo instructed A Mao to carefully stash the paintings, asserting that with the diary, they would face no problems, even if caught. At the company, as accountants audited the books, Yang Lan found an excuse to send everyone away. Seizing the opportunity, she swiftly swapped the real accounting ledger with a fake one. She then contacted A Li, who was relieved to hear the operation was complete and a major problem had been resolved.

Later, Lin Heping arrived at the company with Qiao Man, running late for a board meeting where Director Yan was already expressing his impatience. Lin Heping introduced Qiao Man as a new staff member who would present the sales pitch. Upon seeing Qiao Man, A Li was visibly stunned, immediately thinking she was Nan Sheng. Overcome with panic, A Li rushed out of the meeting.

She retreated to the restroom, where she was haunted by flashbacks of her accidentally pushing Nan Sheng into the sea. Composing herself with cold water, A Li fiercely resolved that she must prevent Qiao Man from staying near Lin Heping. Outside the meeting room, Lin Heping watched Qiao Man confidently present her anti-counterfeit plan, silently encouraging her. A Li confronted Lin Heping, demanding to know Qiao Man's true identity.

Lin Heping revealed her name, Qiao Man, and explained he met her in Spain. He acknowledged her resemblance to Nan Sheng but insisted it was irrelevant to business, highlighting Qiao Man's valuable anti-counterfeit ideas. A Li, however, adamantly refused to let Qiao Man stay, suspecting she might be connected to the counterfeiting issues. She also pushed to sue An Group despite their offer of compensation, intending to suppress their cultural influence.

Lin Heping accused A Li of being unreasonable and blinded, while A Li criticized him for siding with outsiders. Their argument was interrupted by applause from the meeting room; Qiao Man's presentation had been highly praised by the board. Lin Heping congratulated Qiao Man on her excellent work, and she confidently stated her ability to help him, just as she did in Barcelona. Meanwhile, Duo located Ben, the old book dealer, and inquired about the "Riverbank Diary."

Ben had no recollection of it. Duo, fabricating a story about accidentally selling his sister's diary, pleaded with Ben to help him retrieve it. Ben allowed him to search the bookstall, stating that if it wasn't there, it meant it had been sold. After an unsuccessful search, Duo begged Ben to look again at home, but Ben refused. Later, Duo covertly entered Ben's house and found the diary in Ben's sleeping hand.

Ben awoke, and a struggle ensued, during which Ben cried out "Thief!" Duo, dropping the diary, fled the scene. Back at the company, Qiao Man was explaining her design concept: removing unnecessary ornaments, simplifying the design, adding "Li Ping" branding, and implementing a single-use, non-transferable digital security code. Her colleagues were impressed by her skills. A Li then sent Yang Lan with refreshments for the team, including soy milk.

Qiao Man declined the soy milk, stating she was allergic and had never consumed it. This struck Lin Heping, who recalled Nan Sheng's past aversion to soy milk, stemming from an incident where she blamed herself for her father's disappearance after he went to get her soy milk. He wondered about the strange coincidence of their shared aversion. Later, A Li found Qiao Man alone in the office.

Qiao Man, trying to playfully startle her, apologized when A Li reacted strongly. A Li claimed she was feeling unwell and had come to check on Qiao Man on her first day. Pretending to be Lin Heping's fiancée, she subtly questioned Qiao Man's background, asking if she was born in Barcelona and about her parents.

Qiao Man openly shared that her father had passed away when she was young, and her sister and brother-in-law had taken her to Barcelona to study. A Li noticed Qiao Man's rings and advised her to keep wearing a ring on her ring finger to deter single men at the company. After A Li left, Yang Lan approached Qiao Man, asking about their conversation. Yang Lan hinted that A Li was likely jealous of Qiao Man's closeness to Lin Heping.

She gossiped about Lin Heping's past, explaining that he had been a "nobody" until A Li's early investment helped the company, though Lin Heping later drove most of the sales. Yang Lan concluded they were indispensable to each other. Mo Hui delivered Qiao Man's resume to Lin Heping. He noted her birth date was different from Nan Sheng's and that she had grown up in Barcelona.

He then mused to himself that Nan Sheng was gone and would have recognized him. Later, Lin Heping asked Qiao Man if she had any relatives who looked like her. Qiao Man replied she didn't know of any, and even if she did, she wouldn't remember, having moved to Barcelona at age 14. Lin Heping, internally dismissing the idea of Qiao Man being Nan Sheng, still felt compelled to investigate further.

Qiao Fang, wandering through He Jianfeng's study, noticed a cherished old gift he had kept. This discovery warmed her heart, prompting her to invite him to dinner. During their meal, Qiao Fang questioned why he had bought a house in its current location rather than by the beach, as they had once planned. He Jianfeng inadvertently revealed that it was because she had left. Qiao Fang, however, responded, "But now I'm back, aren't I?"

a statement that clearly delighted He Jianfeng. While online, Qiao Man suddenly fainted and found herself back in the ethereal world. There, she encountered a girl in a red dress flying a kite. With her back turned, the girl, who knew her name, urged Qiao Man to return to her own world and live well. As the girl walked away into another realm, Qiao Man tried to follow but found her path blocked.

An Kailun spoke with Han Sen on the phone regarding Zhu Fan's situation. Han Sen reported no new information from the police. Due to the negative impact on An Group's reputation, An Kailun decided to return to China. He instructed Zhu Di to remain in Barcelona to attend upcoming events, deciding to take Xiao Zhi with him, believing her to be sharp and potentially helpful. Xiao Zhi was overjoyed at the prospect of returning to China.

She immediately called Qiao Man to share the news. Qiao Man, however, recounted her recent experience in the ethereal world and her fear that she had hypochondriasis. Xiao Zhi dismissed it as stress-induced fatigue or a dream, advising Qiao Man to rest. Qiao Man expressed guilt over Zhu Fan's predicament, but Xiao Zhi reassured her that she had done her best and that Lin Heping had promised not to press charges.

Xiao Zhi ended the call, excited for their upcoming reunion. At the company, Han Sen was angrily berating his sales team for their dismal performance with "Yi Pin wine." He challenged them to bring in sales, promising to handle the promotion himself. An Kailun and Xiao Zhi then entered. An Kailun thanked Han Sen for managing Zhu Fan's issue.

Han Sen reported that his surveillance of Li Ping Pavilion revealed Lin Heping had decided to drop the lawsuit against Yi Pin. An Kailun credited Qiao Man's involvement for this development and stated they would still need her assistance. To Han Sen's dismay, An Kailun then instructed Xiao Zhi to stay in China and assist Han Sen.

Xiao Zhi was taken aback, while Han Sen immediately protested, claiming he preferred to work alone and that Xiao Zhi was "not his style." An Kailun playfully jabbed at Han Sen's "style," while Han Sen, now with Xiao Zhi as his unwilling assistant, mockingly told her to clean the room and report to his office, labeling her a "servant" after being a "princess."

Later, Han Sen went to Qiao Man's hotel, only to discover she had checked out the previous day. He tried calling her, but her phone was off. Frustrated, Han Sen confronted Lin Heping, demanding to know where he had hidden Qiao Man. Lin Heping replied that Qiao Man simply didn't wish to see him and was now an employee of his company. Han Sen was utterly shocked.

Lin Heping defiantly dared Han Sen to hit him again if he wanted more problems, reminding him that his company needed Lin Heping's help, and if Han Sen continued to interfere, no one would assist Zhu Fan. Han Sen accused Lin Heping of threatening him.
