Chen Luzhou’s mother told someone to go look elsewhere and asked what happened to his hand. He had to show it, and she told him to remove the nail polish immediately before his father saw it. She then told him to come with her. Cai Yingying was the one Xu Zhi had said sounded like her own mother. She hadn’t believed it, but now she was starting to. Her father contacted customer service, but today everyone was calling to report issues—there wasn’t enough staff. Xu Zhi told Chen Luzhou, who offered to check for her if she didn’t mind giving him her admission ticket number. She did, and he found she had scored 738 points. He congratulated her, saying she should have no problem getting into Huada. Xu Zhi asked his score—713. She thought that was great. Her father overheard and got very excited.
He wanted to celebrate, but Xu Zhi said they hadn’t filled in their college choices yet, so don’t pop the champagne too early. She came over to bring Chen Luzhou food.
