The story begins in the rainy southern city of Qingyi. Xu Zhi, known as the "dark horse of Ruijun," meets Chen Luzhou, the "barely-passed top scorer." Due to a misunderstanding, the story between the tough girl "Zhi Zong" and the "Poet Chen" begins. During their playful and teasing interactions, the ambiguous atmosphere intensifies, leading to a "tug-of-war" of emotions. Unfortunately, reality presses the pause button on their fate when Chen Luzhou is sent abroad to study, while Xu Zhi fulfills her dream of going to Beijing to study architecture. The two, who were both eager to be together, find themselves separated by distance.

However, an accident shifts the gears of destiny, and Chen Luzhou decides to give up his studies abroad and return to China, enrolling in the same university as Xu Zhi. The teacher told Xu Zhi that with her grades, staying here to attend Qing University would be a bit of a waste.
