Be My Princess Episode 15 Recap
> Be My Princess Recap
Ming Wei and Mu Tingzhou settled into a sweet life as a couple, though their ordinary moments, like sharing a meal, were often interrupted by the need to avoid hidden cameras and paparazzi. On New Year’s Eve, Mu Tingzhou mysteriously invited Ming Wei to his room, which she found filled with red balloons and various gifts, resembling a traditional wedding chamber.
Her attention was drawn to a red box, which Mu Tingzhou opened to reveal their Written Marriage Proposal, a formal betrothal document. Although deeply moved, Ming Wei couldn't shake her concern about Mu Yun’s eventual disappearance. Understanding her fears, Mu Tingzhou explained that the gifts were merely a bride-price and their official marriage would only occur after she formally replied to the proposal, giving her full control.
At that moment, Ming Wei felt she truly grasped the joy of mutual love. Mu Tingzhou then presented her with a hair clasp as a New Year's gift, explaining that in the Ning Dynasty, it was a traditional symbol of betrothal. In return, Ming Wei gave him a scent bag she had made herself, adorned with a hand-tied knot. Mu Tingzhou cherished it as the most precious gift he had ever received.
For Ming Wei, his acceptance fulfilled a wish for Princess Ming Hua, recalling how Mu Yun had once cruelly rejected the princess's identical gift. Meanwhile, Xiao Zhao met up with Ming Qiao to attend a band concert. Afterward, noticing he was cold, Ming Qiao took off her own scarf and wrapped it around him. The sudden intimacy left Xiao Zhao flustered.
Later, over a meal, Xiao Zhao clarified that since Mu Tingzhou and Ming Wei were together, he considered Ming Qiao a younger sister. This statement instantly dampened Ming Qiao’s spirits. The next morning, after seeing Ming Qiao’s happy social media post about the concert, Ming Wei urged Xiao Zhao to keep his distance from her sister to avoid any misunderstandings.
Mu Tingzhou reassured her that although Xiao Zhao could be reckless, he was a good person at heart and would maintain proper boundaries, having already defined their relationship as sibling-like. Later, on the film set, their discussion was interrupted by a woman, brought by Xiao Zhao, who excitedly rushed to embrace Mu Tingzhou. Startled, Mu Tingzhou gently pushed her away, stating he was Mu Yun, not Mu Tingzhou, leaving Ming Wei in shock.
Xiao Zhao awkwardly introduced the woman as his biological sister, Xu Lin, explaining that she and Mu Tingzhou grew up together. He also revealed his real name was Xu Run, the son of the Xu Group's president, and he had become an agent to escape the family business. Back at home, Xu Lin and the housekeeper had prepared a feast, but an upset Mu Tingzhou demanded she leave. Xu Lin then pulled Ming Wei aside for a private talk.
She explained that the Xu and Mu families were old friends and that she and Mu Tingzhou had promised to travel the world together once she returned from studying abroad.
She pointedly told Ming Wei that the sweet time she was enjoying with the Grand Tutor came at the expense of Mu Tingzhou's own life, arguing that Ming Wei's role-playing was not only failing to awaken his memories but was causing him to retreat further into a fantasy, hindering his recovery. Ming Wei was thrown into a deep internal conflict. She had been hired to cure Mu Tingzhou but now selfishly wished for their current life to continue.
Mu Tingzhou comforted her, affirming that their mutual love wasn't wrong. However, Ming Wei felt immense guilt, believing it was unfair to erase Mu Tingzhou's existence for her own happiness. Later, Xiao Zhao found Ming Wei and admitted that while he was unsure of Xu Lin and Mu Tingzhou's past, he always felt their bond was more like that of siblings.
He was certain, however, that Mu Tingzhou's feelings for Ming Wei during the filming of "The Grand Chief Cabinet Minister" were genuinely romantic. Still, Ming Wei sided with Xu Lin's point, confessing her self-blame and her struggle to let go of the relationship. Xiao Zhao offered his support, assuring her he wouldn't take sides. The next morning, Ming Wei felt a pang of sadness seeing Xu Lin bonding with Mu Tingzhou’s parents.
They revealed their plan: Xu Lin would take Mu Tingzhou to places from their past to stimulate his memory. Though uneasy, Ming Wei couldn't object. However, Mu Tingzhou appeared and adamantly refused, declaring he didn't know Xu Lin and his only duty was to protect the princess. Realizing he would only listen to Ming Wei, his mother and Xu Lin pleaded with her to persuade him. Seeing the parents' desperation, Ming Wei reluctantly agreed. This forced her to a crossroads when Mu Tingzhou asked if she truly wanted him to become Mu Tingzhou again, forgetting everything they had shared and becoming strangers.
