> Be My Princess Recap

Within the historical drama, a young man announces his imminent departure for the north and pleads with a lady to wait for him. Angered, she challenges him, asking why she should wait. As she turns to leave, the young man pulls her close, pinning her against a wall, and passionately kisses her. Initially surprised, she soon yields to the intense embrace. Observing this scene unfold, Mu Tingzhou watches with a pained expression.

Later, Ming Wei sends Mu Tingzhou a video of a less intense version of the kiss scene, explaining that they will use a cheat cut, so no actual kissing will occur. She hopes this news will please him, but his only reply is a curt "Good night." Confused, Ming Wei wonders if he is either furious or simply indifferent.

Mu Tingzhou, on the other hand, struggles with his own thoughts; while there is less kissing, there is still a kiss scene, and he believes he must suppress his displeasure to make her happy. Both of them are caught in a spiral of misunderstanding. Still restless, Ming Wei calls Mu Tingzhou and tells him a story about a bear experiencing honey for the first time to emphasize that first experiences are always the most special.

She points out that her co-star, Chen Zhang, has had many on-screen kisses, while she, apart from one instance involving a protective film, has never truly kissed someone. She expresses her reluctance to give her first kiss to a performance. Mu Tingzhou, dense to her true meaning, offers to prepare a protective film for her. Frustrated, Ming Wei retorts that the upcoming kiss scene is too intense for a film, abruptly hanging up and muttering about his lack of understanding.

Puzzled by Ming Wei's words, Mu Tingzhou turns to online forums for advice and finally grasps her underlying desire. Meanwhile, a troubled Ming Wei steps into the yard for a walk. Spotting Mu Tingzhou, she grows flustered and quickly retreats to her room. Moments later, he knocks on her door, wishing to speak. Nervously clutching her script, Ming Wei feigns nonchalance as she invites him in.

With a determined gaze, Mu Tingzhou approaches Ming Wei, declaring he is unwilling to let her give her precious first kiss to a performance. He takes the script from her hands and asks if she would be willing to give it to him instead. Ming Wei playfully tells him to turn off the lights, but then remarks that it might be too dark. Mu Tingzhou obliges by lighting a candle, creating an intimate ambiance.

With a hint of playfulness, Ming Wei suggests they "follow the script" as they move towards a wall. Mu Tingzhou asks if she is ready. When she hesitates, he gently asks if she is unwilling. Citing online advice he researched, he then asks, "They say every girl wants to give her first kiss to her boyfriend. So. . . am I your boyfriend now?" Ming Wei inwardly approves as they share a passionate kiss.

Afterwards, she playfully comments on the pleasant scent of his lip balm, and Mu Tingzhou offers to send her the link if she likes it. After the kiss scene for the drama is concluded, Ming Wei notices Mu Tingzhou is nowhere to be found. Before she finds him, her co-star Chen Zhang approaches her. He good-naturedly admits defeat in vying for her affection but sincerely offers his friendship, promising to always be there for her.

Ming Wei then locates Mu Tingzhou and playfully pulls his hand, inviting him to go home. Mu Tingzhou clutches his chest, complaining of a "heartache." Concerned, Ming Wei assumes he has a heart condition and insists on taking him to the hospital. Mu Tingzhou pulls her back, clarifying that it is not a physical ailment but a "sickness of the heart." Ming Wei immediately understands, laughing as she realizes he is jealous.

Caught, Mu Tingzhou looks away, unable to meet her gaze. Delighted to see him jealous for the first time, Ming Wei assures him that the kiss on set was fake and promises never to take on another kiss scene again, which visibly brightens his demeanor. At dinner, Ming Wei and Mu Tingzhou openly display their affection, to the resigned amusement of Xiao Zhao and Ming Qiao.

Mimicking their behavior, Ming Qiao serves Xiao Zhao soup, blowing on it to cool it, and later offers him a peeled shrimp. Xiao Zhao initially thinks she is just teasing the couple but gradually senses a deeper meaning in her actions. Later, Ming Qiao invites Xiao Zhao to a concert on New Year's Eve. He initially declines, claiming he has plans, but eventually agrees when she persists.

Xiao Zhao then internally grapples with his decision, recalling his promise to Ming Wei to maintain distance from Ming Qiao but rationalizing that a concert is harmless. He reflects on how, despite being a seasoned and confident individual, he finds himself unexpectedly flustered by Ming Qiao. Back home, Ming Wei and Mu Tingzhou discuss Ming Qiao and Xiao Zhao's unusual closeness.

Ming Wei expresses concern that Ming Qiao, who recently confessed to having a crush on someone, might have misunderstood Xiao Zhao's attentiveness. Mu Tingzhou assures Ming Wei he will talk to Xiao Zhao. Later, as Ming Wei prepares for bed, Mu Tingzhou offers to help her remove her makeup. As he cleanses her lips, he succumbs to his emotions and kisses her. Ming Wei playfully warns that he will make her lips sore if he continues.

He admits his guilt but confesses he can't control himself. She then playfully accuses him of only kissing her lip balm, not her lips. He refutes this, claiming the lip balm was on the inside of her lips as well, and demonstrates what he means with another kiss. Mu Tingzhou then kneels, confessing his growing greed and lack of control. Ming Wei asks if he will repeat his transgression, to which he replies that it depends on her punishment.

She declares that if he kisses her without permission again, his punishment will be to pamper her like a princess for the rest of his life. Thrilled, Mu Tingzhou kisses her once more, eager for such a punishment. Taking advantage of a two-day break in filming, Ming Wei and Mu Tingzhou enjoy a leisurely date in the park.

Mu Tingzhou asks if Ming Wei can ride a bicycle, and she confidently affirms her skill, even boasting she can ride without holding the handlebars. They ride together, laughing, as Ming Wei instructs him to pedal like her. Later, they stop for street food, with Ming Wei enthusiastically sharing stinky tofu and chitterling skewers, and Mu Tingzhou tenderly wiping her mouth. Their carefree interactions make them appear like any ordinary couple, seemingly forgetting Mu Tingzhou's status as a renowned Best Actor.
