Mo Yuji was about to present the Yellow Soul Orb to Little Mint as a gift when Su Zi Mo suddenly intervened, declaring it a fake and shattering it on the ground. Together, they confronted the orb's seller. Nan Pingwan, acting swiftly, apprehended the seller before he could flee the city. The seller claimed he had once possessed the genuine Yellow Soul Orb but couldn't recall anything after falling asleep, only that the orb had vanished.

Su Zi Mo corroborated the seller's account, explaining that the entity within the Yellow Soul Orb, similar to the Heavenly Hound, had already escaped. He announced his intention to continue the search for the Yellow Soul Orb and retrieve the other three from Mo Xiu Ran personally. Unbeknownst to them, Mo Xiu Ran overheard their entire conversation from outside the door. Mo Xiu Ran returned to Mo Mansion with a heavy heart.

Qing Zi You, feigning care, prepared a fish feast for him and subtly slipped a drug into his wine. The next morning, Mo Xiu Ran awoke with no recollection of the previous night's events. He instructed Luo Feng to spread the news that the Red and White Soul Orbs would be unveiled at the upcoming grand celebration for Marquis Jin Yang.

Luo Feng later confided in Little Mint and Nan Pingwan about Mo Xiu Ran's late-night conversation with Qing Zi You and his subsequent intoxication. Nan Pingwan, seizing the opportunity, advised Little Mint to showcase her talents at the celebration to win Mo Xiu Ran's admiration.

Little Mint, who had learned zither as a child, recalled a tune from her youth and, with Mo Yu Ji's help, managed to play it, receiving his praise and encouragement that she could triumph over Qing Zi You. At the Marquis Jin Yang's grand celebration, Luo Feng initiated the festivities with a captivating sword dance called "Zui Wanfeng," performing a poem dedicated to his most beloved. Nan Pingwan was deeply enthralled by the performance.

Following this, Qing Zi You presented her "Dream of the Butterfly" dance, which mesmerized the attendees and allowed her to discern the hidden location of Mo Xiu Ran's Soul Orbs. Meanwhile, Mo Xiu Ran found himself ensnared in a dream created by Qing Zi You. He was startled awake by the sound of a broken zither string, only to find everyone else unconscious. He immediately realized he had been tricked.

Mo Xiu Ran woke Little Mint and informed her that Qing Zi You was actually the Butterfly, the entity from the Yellow Soul Orb, capable of creating elaborate dreams. Mo Xiu Ran had long harbored suspicions about Qing Zi You's true identity and had prepared for such an eventuality. Qing Zi You, weakened by the Taoist priest's Xinghuang Powder that Mo Xiu Ran had administered, was unable to reach the treasure vault to retrieve the Soul Orbs.

She was intercepted by Little Mint and Mo Xiu Ran. In a desperate move, the Butterfly cast another dream spell, trapping both Mo Xiu Ran and Little Mint within a new illusion. Inside the dream, Little Mint was seen embracing a black cat, expressing her resentment towards Mo Xiu Ran for his past actions.

Mo Xiu Ran, determined to awaken her, risked destroying the fragile dream and focused on retrieving a bell from the Butterfly's puppet wild leopard cat within the dream. Using the bell, he managed to rouse Little Mint. Upon waking, Mo Xiu Ran playfully chided Little Mint for hugging another cat in her dream. They observed the unconscious Butterfly lying beneath a tree, and Mo Xiu Ran explained that he had incapacitated her puppet in the dream.

As Mo Xiu Ran and Little Mint conversed, they failed to notice the Butterfly regaining consciousness. She launched a dart towards Mo Xiu Ran, but Little Mint bravely shielded him, collapsing into unconsciousness from the injury. Enraged, Mo Xiu Ran retaliated, defeating the Butterfly, who then reverted to her true form and re-entered the Yellow Soul Orb. Noticing a unique birthmark on Little Mint's arm, Mo Xiu Ran realized she might be his long-lost young master, Qing Zi You.

He rushed Little Mint back to his residence, where his Second Uncle, after an examination, declared himself powerless to cure her, only able to temporarily alleviate her symptoms. Su Zi Mo later revealed that Little Mint's dire condition stemmed from a severe injury sustained years ago. Little Mint was indeed Qing Zi You; she had been gravely wounded while saving Mo Xiu Ran.

His mother, utilizing her dwindling strength, had resurrected Little Mint, but her life could only be sustained until her eighteenth birthday. The only way to fully save Little Mint's life was to gather all four Soul Orbs and harness their collective power. This was the reason Su Zi Mo had changed her name and spent years searching for the orbs. Due to her severe injury, she had completely forgotten Mo Xiu Ran.

When Little Mint finally regained consciousness, she remained unaware of her critical condition. Mo Xiu Ran chose not to disclose the truth but tenderly fed her medicine himself, promising to repay her with his whole life. Nan Pingwan later hinted to Little Mint that Mo Xiu Ran's "repayment" might involve marriage, leading Little Mint to believe a proposal was imminent.

Unbeknownst to her, Mo Xiu Ran was quietly preparing for a profound sacrifice, a decision that even Bu Ou could not dissuade him from. That evening, Little Mint and Mo Xiu Ran went on a date.

As they released sky lanterns into the starlit night, a poignant beauty filled the air, with Mo Xiu Ran lamenting that he could not accompany her forever, while Little Mint wished to never be separated from him, like Liang Shan Bo and Zhu Ying Tai.
