Be My Cat Episode 12 Recap
> Be My Cat Recap
On her wedding day, Little Mint discovered the bridal shoes were too large, realizing the intended bride was not the Princess. This made her secretly happy. She then secretly swapped places, taking on the role of the bride herself. During the wedding ceremony, Mo Xiuran was surprised to find Little Mint, not Luo Feng, as his bride. He thought, "Why is it her? Damn, Luo Feng! So many people are here. We're just going to have to keep going."
With no other choice, he proceeded with the ceremony. They bowed to the sky and earth, to the parents, for family harmony, and finally to each other, completing the rite. Later, in the bridal chamber, Mo Xiuran confronted Little Mint, acknowledging her actions were dangerous but recognizing she did it to keep him safe. He stated, "Even if it's a fake marriage, you can only marry me." Little Mint teased him, "So, do you want to marry me so badly?
I was trying to help you." She then admitted her feelings, "Fine! I admit I like you. I like your pestering, your arrogance, your rebelliousness, and also, I like you because you always protect me." When she asked if he liked her or "Young General's body," Mo Xiuran was about to answer when Little Mint, without him noticing, turned him into a cat as a playful lesson. As a cat, Mo Xiuran protested, "Again? ! Women!
Turn me into a cat on our wedding night? You. . . You need to turn me back, now! I still have to catch the Heavenly Hound! Hurry up!" After Mo Xiuran returned to his human form, Little Mint handed him the White Soul Orb. Mo Xiuran then strictly instructed her, "You're not going anywhere until I get back. Just stay here, got it?" Little Mint agreed.
Following a custom in Sunset City, the groom was required to throw an embroidered ball. Mo Xiuran, addressing the crowd, announced a special reward: "Today is my big day so I will add a reward. Whoever gets the embroidered ball, will get this, White Soul Orb." During the scramble, both Mo Yuji and Hu Yan Hao managed to get their hands on the embroidered ball.
Mo Yuji proposed, "Second Young Master, instead of fighting like this, why don't you and I compete with strength and wisdom? The winner will get the White Soul Orb justifiably." Hu Yan Hao then suggested splitting the bead in half, but Mo Xiuran declared he would split it himself to be fair. Hu Yan Hao expressed skepticism, claiming the Orb was too hard to crack, but Mo Xiuran assured everyone his dark steel sword could easily split it.
Just as Mo Xiuran was about to divide the Orb, Hu Yan Hao stopped him, stating, "This White Soul Orb. . . I want it intact," and snatched it. Hearing shouts of "Help! The Linhui Building is on fire!" from outside, Little Mint remembered Mo Xiuran's strict warning to stay in the room. Worried, she wondered, "Did something happen to that smelly cat?"
Despite the instruction, she ran out to investigate the commotion and was subsequently struck from behind and knocked unconscious. Mo Xiuran confronted Hu Yan Hao, revealing his true identity, "I should call you the Heavenly Hound." Hu Yan Hao admitted, "I didn't expect that you would find out even though I was hiding so well."
Mo Xiuran ordered him to surrender and return to the White Soul Orb, but Hu Yan Hao retorted, "You're the one who needs to go back to the Orb." Mo Xiuran then exposed his deception, presenting Hu Yan Hao with a meat bun, stating, "I can't let you work for nothing, right? This meat bun is for you," indicating that the "White Soul Orb" he stole was merely a trick. Suddenly, Luo Feng arrived, urgently informing Mo Xiuran, "Young General.
Little Mint. . . she's missing." Distraught, Mo Xiuran immediately ceased his pursuit of the Heavenly Hound. Little Mint eventually regained consciousness, finding herself bound. To her shock, her long-lost brother, Su Zimo, stood nearby as a blank-faced black-clad assassin, a puppet of the Heavenly Hound. She called out to him, "Brother, is that you? Brother, I'm Little Mint. Don't you recognize me? Brother, what the hell is going on? How did you become this way?"
Hu Yan Hao cruelly mocked her, saying, "Save your breath! The people I control have never been awakened." He then boasted about reading Little Mint's memories, learning about her contract with Mo Xiuran and her possession of the Red and Blue Soul Orbs. He admitted to manipulating events, saying, "by a trick, I made that Xiao fellow a sitting duck. You and that cat really fell for it."
Hu Yan Hao then snatched the Blue Soul Orb from Little Mint's neck, recoiling in pain as he was burned by it. Su Zimo, still under control, emotionlessly picked up the Blue Soul Orb and placed it into a sachet. News of Hu Yan Hao's true identity as the Heavenly Hound spread through Sunset City, shocking everyone. The Castellan's wife lamented that Hu Yan Hao's years of attentiveness to Nan Pingwan were merely a ploy for the White Soul Orb.
The Castellan, acknowledging his own mistake in trusting Hu Yan Hao, declared, "As long as Hu Yan Hao is in this city for one day, we will have endless troubles. We must get rid of him as soon as possible." Luo Feng reported that Little Mint had been missing for ten hours. Mo Yuji passionately suggested, "Why don't we scour the city? Let me overturn the city. I don't believe we can't find the Heavenly Hound's lair."
The Castellan agreed and ordered troops to search the city. Soon after, a messenger from the Heavenly Hound arrived with a letter demanding Mo Xiuran bring both the Red and White Soul Orbs alone to Sunset Forest that night to exchange for Little Mint, threatening her death if he failed to comply. As Mo Xiuran pondered his next move, Mo Yuji suddenly realized, "Eldest Brother, those masked people seem to be very afraid of Falling Cherry Blossoms."
The Castellan's wife confirmed, "When Little Mint opened the Falling Cherry Blossoms box, the masked man couldn't move. So, Falling Cherry Blossoms must be that Heavenly Hound's weakness." That night, Mo Xiuran arrived at the designated location in Sunset Forest with the Red and White Soul Orbs. He immediately demanded Little Mint's release, but Hu Yan Hao, wary of further tricks, insisted on receiving the Orbs first. Mo Xiuran challenged him, saying, "It depends on your ability."
During their confrontation, Luo Feng appeared and discreetly scattered Falling Cherry Blossoms powder. The powder immediately affected the black-clad puppets, restoring their consciousness. Little Mint cried out, "Brother! Brother, you finally woke up!" Su Zimo, now free from control, asked, "What's wrong with me? My head hurts." Little Mint explained, "You must have been controlled for too long, so you're weak now." Mo Xiuran taunted Hu Yan Hao, whose puppets were no longer under his control.
Despite losing his controlled fighters, Hu Yan Hao remained defiant. Mo Xiuran pursued the Heavenly Hound. To their misfortune, it was a lunar eclipse night, which significantly amplified the Heavenly Hound's power. Hu Yan Hao gloated, "Look! God also helps me! An eclipse makes it my lucky night, you guys are all dead." The empowered Heavenly Hound overwhelmed Mo Xiuran, severely injuring him and causing him to cough up blood.
Little Mint rushed to Mo Xiuran's side and, following his instruction to "get him out of here," helped him retreat from the battle. Mo Xiuran's injuries were grave, and he only regained consciousness briefly. Little Mint, distraught, cried over him, "Smelly cat, wake up. Smelly cat. Don't sleep. Do you hear me? I haven't told you my answer yet. I like you. I really like you."
Her tears fell onto the Blue Soul Orb, and its spiritual energy caused Mo Xiuran to awaken. He playfully chastised her, "You scared me to death! You look so ugly like this! Don't cry in front of me in the future! Looks really ugly! It's all your fault." While Mo Xiuran was recovering, the remaining group struggled against the vastly more powerful Heavenly Hound.
Having absorbed a significant amount of spiritual energy from the Blue Soul Orb, Mo Xiuran's power also increased immensely. He returned to the fight, defeated the Heavenly Hound, and sealed him within the White Soul Orb. Following these events, Tianli State and Sunset City successfully signed a peace treaty. Nan Pingwan clarified her relationship with Mo Xiuran, stating that she only regarded him as a friend, not a lifelong companion.
Little Mint, reunited with her brother, asked Su Zimo who had sent the kidnapping letter, given that he hadn't actually been kidnapped. Su Zimo was unsure but speculated that "maybe someone is coveting the Orbs." As a token of gratitude for capturing the Heavenly Hound and eliminating a major threat to the city, the Castellan presented the White Soul Orb to Mo Xiuran.
Learning that Luo Feng had been badly hurt the previous night, Nan Pingwan immediately went to his room to see him. As she tended to his wounds, Luo Feng made her promise not to do such "stupid things" again, confessing, "I told you, for you, I will do anything." Over their time together, Nan Pingwan and Luo Feng had grown closer. Luo Feng attempted to kiss her but hesitated, whereupon Nan Pingwan bravely took his hand, solidifying their connection.
Finally, Little Mint and Mo Xiuran found a quiet moment to watch the sunset over Sunset City. Little Mint remarked, "I've been in Sunset City for so long that I finally have a chance to see the sunset of Sunset City!" Mo Xiuran then abruptly asked, "Do you remember what you promised me? You said that as long as I find your brother for you, you would release the two of us from the contract." At his words, the smile slowly vanished from Little Mint's face.
