Lin Shuo, the lawyer representing Quan Jian Group, found herself in a deeply conflicted state; she felt professionally obligated to assist the company's listing but, as a woman, could not tolerate working with someone like Shi Quan.
Returning home, Lin Shuo discovered her boyfriend, Shen Yizhang, had prepared a table full of dishes for their three-year anniversary, making her feel guilty for neglecting him due to her busy work schedule. Around this time, a character known as "Ghost Fire Dancer" called Lin Shuo, inviting her to a meeting. Separately, Lin Shuo also contacted Tang Lin, seeking information about Ghost Fire Dancer, but Tang Lin refused to disclose any details.

Knowing her weakness, Xia Yan agreed not to divorce. However, the ordeal was not over, as Shen Yizhang then blackmailed her for a sum of hush money. He again considered invading Shi Quan's account to send the apology letter but, remembering Lin Shuo's advice, ultimately refrained.
