Fang Zhou received a call from an investor, informing her that representatives from the US were coming to Shanghai for inspection. She immediately notified Wu Jianqiu, who sent Li Mujia and lawyer Jin Lei to rush to Shanghai overnight. While shopping, Tian Rong overheard a customer selling a property in Jinlong Bay. She obtained the customer's contact information. Li Mujia was unfamiliar with overseas mergers and acquisitions projects and asked Jin Lei for help.

Li Guang truthfully explained to Wu Jianqiu that he needed the legal procedures with the US to proceed slowly, as he intended to use the overseas project to offset the losses from the suspended construction of Dawn Tower. The investors insisted that Li Guang resume construction before funding the overseas project. Wu Jianqiu knew it was a vicious cycle. Li Guang was desperate and had no other choice. Wu Jianqiu blamed Li Guang for involving Li Mujia, but Li Guang had no other options. Wu Jianqiu had to recall Jin Lei back to Beijing and leave Li Mujia alone in Shanghai to delay the time.

Li Mujia continued negotiations with Wallace. Suddenly, she experienced unbearable stomach pain. She explained her menstrual cramps to Wallace and left to find a convenience store. When she returned to the conference room, she found that Wallace and his team had left for the US. Li Yang was feeling unwell in the hospital and asked Li Wanbing to accompany Tian Rong to view houses. They chatted happily.

Li Yang rushed over and sent Li Wanbing to buy water, then advised Tian Rong not to date Li Wanbing. Tian Rong lied about having a boyfriend in her hometown. Li Yang decided to buy the house, agreeing to pay every cent of Tian Rong's commission. Li Wanbing called Tian Rong, but she hurriedly hung up, claiming to be busy with work.
