After Wallace and his team returned to the US, Li Mujia returned to Beijing alone. She realized that all of this had been carefully orchestrated by Li Guang. He had Wu Jianqiu bring back Jin Lei, an expert in overseas projects, and had Li Mujia stay in Shanghai to buy time. Li Guang planned to explain everything to Wallace after making thorough preparations. While Li Mujia stayed up late organizing the contracts from her Shanghai trip, she complained to Tian Rong. Tian Rong also felt that Li Guang was not ordinary and worried that Li Mujia might not be able to match him.

Chen Qing and Gao Chang were getting married and their parents were urging them to buy a house as soon as possible. They came to Li Mujia to discuss it overnight. Tian Rong, bursting with excitement, enthusiastically shared positive news about the real estate market and highly recommended a house in Zizhu Garden. Li Mujia couldn't get a word in, and Chen Qing and Gao Chang quickly found an excuse to leave.

Tian Rong continued to persuade Li Mujia to buy a house. Since Li Mujia didn't have enough money, Tian Rong suggested she borrow from relatives, otherwise she might miss this great opportunity. Suddenly, Tian Rong received news that Zizhu Garden would be opening for sales the next day. She rushed home overnight to get her household registration book and ID card, asking Li Mujia to inform Chen Qing to go and secure a house the next day.

The real estate market in Beijing was booming. Whenever new properties were released for sale, people flocked to view them, and they were quickly sold out. Li Guang learned that Mo Dahai had purchased a prime piece of land, causing his financial situation to crumble. Li Guang heard that Mo Dahai was about to compromise, promising to allocate 5% of Dawn Tower's shares to Zhao Zong. Zhao Zong was eagerly waiting to see what would happen.

Tian Rong, Li Mujia, and Chen Qing arrived early at the Zizhu Garden sales office. A large crowd had already gathered there. Chen Qing decided to leave to avoid the competition. Tian Rong was disappointed but had to give Li Mujia step-by-step guidance on filling out the purchase registration form. Li Yang brought Li Wanbing to choose a house as well. Li Wanbing curiously asked about Tian Rong's boyfriend, and she hastily made up excuses to cover the truth.

Xing Xiaofei called Li Mujia to remind her to return quickly to deliver the contract to Li Guang. Li Mujia promptly sent it over. Li Guang wanted an immediate response from her. Li Mujia declined to have a relationship with him due to the uncertainty of her future work. Li Guang was about to explain when the sales office of Zizhu Garden called and asked Li Mujia to come and choose a house. Li Mujia couldn't get away, so Li Guang accompanied her to choose a house.

The saleswoman vigorously promoted the high quality of the properties in the community, boasting about the low floor area ratio. Li Guang asked her to explain what floor area ratio meant and clarified that only garden houses could achieve that floor area ratio. The saleswoman was left speechless and had to call others to assist them.

Li Guang canceled his afternoon appointments and took Li Mujia to a club for dinner. Along the way, Mo Dahai repeatedly called him, but Li Guang deliberately ignored his calls. Eventually, he picked up the call and Mo Dahai proposed transferring 5% of his shares and taking full responsibility. Li Guang agreed to resume work on Dawn Tower.

Li Guang's strategic retreat finally achieved the desired result. He was in high spirits and immediately informed Fang Zhou. He also invited Zhao Zong and Jiang Zong to celebrate together. Li Mujia was happy for Li Guang. They drank and toasted, consuming a lot of alcohol. Eventually, both Li Mujia and Li Guang got drunk. Li Guang took Li Mujia to his home, and they fell asleep together in a daze.

The next morning, Li Mujia woke up and found herself in bed with Li Guang. She remembered getting drunk last night and quietly left. Li Guang, who had suffered from chronic insomnia, had slept until 9:30 am. He called Li Mujia, who desperately tried to distance herself from him. Li Guang became furious and in a fit of anger, kicked a table, resulting in a broken bone. Fang Zhou pushed Li Guang in a wheelchair to the company, leaving the employees surprised.

Tian Rong took Li Mujia to Zizhu Garden to choose a house. Li Mujia didn't like the community, but Tian Rong's persuasive tactics were hard to resist. Tian Rong learned that Li Mujia had spent the night with Li Guang, and playfully teased her. The saleswoman recognized Li Mujia and assumed she was causing trouble. Tian Rong quickly changed the subject, and Li Mujia made an excuse to leave. Li Wanbing also came to view the houses and immediately recognized Li Mujia. He asked about Tian Rong's boyfriend, and Li Mujia falsely claimed he was a professor at Peking University, in an attempt to discourage him early on.

Li Wanbing suspected that Tian Rong was single. Li Yang disagreed with Li Wanbing's interest in Tian Rong, which led to a heated argument between the father and son. Li Wanbing left home in frustration. Tian Rong rented one of the rooms to a male programmer who owned a cat. The man was messy and disorganized, leaving the place in a mess. Tian Rong had to clean regularly, but the place would become chaotic again in a matter of days. Tian Rong warned him to be more hygienic, but he remained defiant.

Li Wanbing called Tian Rong for help. She agreed to let him stay overnight and advised him to reconcile with Li Yang the next day. However, Li Wanbing insisted on staying at Tian Rong's place, leading her to seek shelter at Li Mujia's home. Li Wanbing discovered that the water stopped after just twenty minutes of showering, realizing that Tian Rong had bought a small water heater to save money. Annoyed, he complained. Just as Tian Rong was about to sleep, she heard someone interested in Li Mujia's neighboring house. She immediately became alert and went to check it out.
