It was another autumn, another back-to-school season. Many new faces, full of aspirations, poured into the campus. Luo Zhi, a sophomore female student, looked at these enthusiastic young men and women. She couldn't help but think of her own secret crush. Indeed, everyone has secrets. Luo Zhi's secret was her crush on Sheng Huainan, a male student in the same year. Unfortunately, Sheng Huainan never knew about it. Luo Zhi had known Sheng Huainan since high school.

She was a timid and quiet girl, who could only quietly follow behind Sheng Huainan, step by step, from a distance of five meters every day, as if a flower could bloom from his back. Luo Zhi seemed to often coincidentally run into Sheng Huainan, but only she knew in her heart that those coincidences were all meticulously planned by her. Luo Zhi quietly collected every trivial and hidden moment related to Sheng Huainan, like a child eagerly collecting candies.

It was these very moments that constituted Luo Zhi's youthful and beautiful adolescence. Luo Zhi once wrote a very thick diary. The diary contained only one subject; every word and sentence described only one person: Sheng Huainan. High school life quickly passed, and in a blink of an eye, Luo Zhi arrived at university and met her roommate, Jiang Baili. Jiang Baili was a girl very persistent in relationships. Even if she was forever sad, she would never give up.

She deeply loved her boyfriend, Ge Bi, and always cried desperately over small emotional matters, which made Luo Zhi feel both amused and helpless. However, Jiang Baili always kept her crying to within ten minutes because she insisted on having a strong soul. The school's club association officially merged with the student union. Li Zheng, the minister of the club association, and Ge Bi, its vice minister, also came to work at the student union.

Chairman Feng assigned Ge Bi to be in charge of sponsorships, and Sheng Huainan to be in charge of club recruitment. On the other side, Jiang Baili returned to the dorm with a tear-streaked face and stubbornly refused to answer Ge Bi's call. Luo Zhi knew she had a spat with Ge Bi again and was quite speechless. However, this young couple made up quickly.

Just as Luo Zhi returned downstairs to the dorm at night, Ge Bi asked her to deliver flowers to Jiang Baili. Luo Zhi politely declined Ge Bi's request and ignored him. To help Jiang Baili organize the club recruitment event, Luo Zhi put on a clumsy yet cute mascot costume and waddled to the school plaza. There, she immediately saw the handsome Sheng Huainan. Luo Zhi irresistibly walked towards Sheng Huainan and stood foolishly beside him for a while.

Sheng Huainan stared blankly at the large mascot next to him. Luo Zhi quickly turned and walked away. Sheng Huainan almost got into a conflict with other clubs due to a venue issue. Luo Zhi watched from the side and awkwardly stepped forward to help. Sheng Huainan didn't know that there was a cute girl under the mascot costume; he thought it was a buddy. He patted Luo Zhi's costume and sincerely thanked him.

Inside, Luo Zhi stuck out her tongue and blushed. Sheng Huainan was in a hurry to see Professor Fu. Unexpectedly, he was stopped by a girl named Xu Riqing on the way. Xu Riqing questioned Sheng Huainan why he was avoiding her. Sheng Huainan couldn't shake off the girl; he was frantically scratching his head. Just then, Luo Zhi, who had been following behind, walked over. She was still wearing the mascot costume, which stunned Xu Riqing.

Sheng Huainan quickly grabbed Luo Zhi, found an excuse, and hurried away. He put his arm around Luo Zhi, repeatedly thanked her, and offered to buy her coffee. It wasn't until Sheng Huainan lifted Luo Zhi's rooster mascot head that he realized it was a girl standing in front of him. He was a bit flustered. Luo Zhi shyly twirled her hair and followed Sheng Huainan to get coffee. The two sat in the coffee shop.

Luo Zhi mentioned that she and Sheng Huainan were from the same high school. Sheng Huainan frowned; he seemed to have some impression but couldn't recall Luo Zhi's name. Although Luo Zhi's essays were always used as model essays for the entire grade to read, Sheng Huainan often used them as scratch paper. As the two walked out of the coffee shop, Sheng Huainan's roommate, Zhang Mingrui, rode past on a bicycle.

Seeing Luo Zhi in the mascot costume, he started teasing them. After Zhang Mingrui left, Sheng Huainan began to press Luo Zhi for her name. Luo Zhi's face turned red again. She recalled that she and Sheng Huainan used to write and converse on windows during high school, but Sheng Huainan didn't know the other person was her. Luo Zhi came back to her senses; she finally generously told Sheng Huainan that her name was Luo Zhi.
