Shen Yi believed that the relationship between Ge Yutian and Feng Xiaowen was not simple and should be a romantic one. The chemical plant was where they met, making it profoundly significant to Ge Yutian. Feng Xiaowen's death could not be entirely unrelated to Ge Yutian. Feng Xiaowen left the hotel on April 19th, and the accident at the chemical plant happened the very next day, April 20th.

Moreover, Feng Xiaowen's last call was to Ge Yutian, but he did not answer. Du Cheng then called in relevant personnel for questioning, clarifying that Ge Yutian was not at the scene on the day of the fire, and he could not have known at the time that Feng Xiaowen would be there.

Shen Yi told Ge Yutian that the reason Wu Nianjun didn't report her mother missing until six months later was because Feng Xiaowen had abandoned everything and resolutely went to Beijiang to find Ge Yutian, even at the cost of severing her relationship with her daughter. His wife said that Zhou Guoliang was a real estate agent who inevitably dealt with renovation workers, and of course there had been conflicts, but those were minor issues. Shen Yi suggested wanting to see the crime scene, but Du Cheng disagreed. However, Shen Yi went anyway.

Feng Xiaowen was the protagonist on the stage, and the other five bodies were supporting roles. His intuition told him that this was a play centered around Feng Xiaowen.

Wu Nianjun arranged to meet with Ge Yutian and also called Jiang Feng and Li Han. Ge Yutian gave Wu Nianjun the agreement gifting her the insurance dividends Feng Xiaowen purchased before she died, stating that he was not with Feng Xiaowen for her money back then. Wu Nianjun regretted arguing with her mother, causing her mother to leave with regret. Now she would not accept this agreement, because she did not want to go against her mother's wishes anymore.

Shen Yi showed everyone the three-dimensional figures he drew. Jiang Feng immediately recognized that the play being staged was "Dragon and Phoenix Bring Prosperity". Guo Yuan was originally meant to be killed by the perpetrator and used as the Wusheng on the stage, but unexpectedly the perpetrator failed. The entire play is missing Liu Bei, and Liu Bei is Ge Yutian, who is also the casting director for this play.

Just as everyone had confirmed that Ge Yutian was the perpetrator, Li Han received news that Guo Yuan did not return to school after being discharged from the hospital, and her classmates had called the police. Shen Yi believed that Guo Yuan was the Wusheng that Ge Yutian had painstakingly searched for, and Ge Yutian would definitely not let her go easily. Du Cheng reassured Shen Yi that they would definitely rescue Guo Yuan.
