Old Jinji spoke to Shuofeng Heye as a father, revealing that he had used his entire life savings from his horse team to buy Shuofeng Heye's freedom from Soda Meng. Old Jinji questioned why Shuofeng Heye was willing to be a slave, and Shuofeng Heye explained that a lone wolf cannot afford to starve before finding its pack, so he stayed under Soda's command to grow stronger.

He declared that only a man who doesn't believe he will become king would be unwilling to be a slave, for he is the future Tieqin and no ordinary man. Old Jinji was pleased with Jinzhuhai's foresight upon hearing this, and he inquired about Shuofeng Heye's family. Shuofeng Heye, mindful of his past, feared disrupting Old Jinji and Jinzhuhai's peaceful life.

However, Old Jinji reassured him that as long as Shuofeng Heye treated Jinzhuhai well, they would support and help him, becoming his family regardless of future storms. Shuofeng Heye, touched, promised that every glory he achieved would belong to Old Jinji and Jinzhuhai. Shuofeng Heye and Jinzhuhai rode to the seaside together. He gifted her his wolf bone necklace and they shared a passionate kiss on horseback.

Their affection was witnessed by Kusuodu, who, consumed by jealousy, secretly released a carrier pigeon while no one was watching. Shuofeng Heye and Jinzhuhai set off with the trade caravan, only to discover a burnt and pillaged camp along the way. Suddenly, the Helan tribe attacked. Kusuodu, in a panic, fled to the Helan riders, claiming the salt was in the rear carts. He had betrayed the caravan to the Helan tribe out of jealousy.

Shuofeng Heye single-handedly confronted the Helan leader. During their fight, the Helan leader realized his opponent was Shuofeng Heye. He removed his mask, revealing himself as Helan Tieyuan, the person Shuofeng Da had once saved. Helan Tieyuan and Shuofeng Heye embraced, overjoyed by their reunion. At this moment, Tieduo arrived and rushed into Shuofeng Heye's arms, causing Jinzhuhai to feel jealous. Jinzhuhai pushed Tieduo away, declaring she was Shuofeng Heye's wife.

Tieduo refused to believe it until Shuofeng Heye formally introduced Jinzhuhai as his wife, causing Tieduo's face to turn pale with disappointment. Shuofeng Heye and Jinzhuhai returned to the Helan tribe. The entire tribe celebrated their reunion. Shuofeng Heye and Helan Tieyuan had a drinking contest, which Shuofeng Heye won. Helan Tieyuan, seeing his sister Tieduo's sadness, lamented that the most beautiful flower of Hanzhou was about to bloom, but Shuofeng Heye already had other flowers.

After drinking the strong alcohol, Shuofeng Heye went outside the tent to clear his head. Tieduo approached him from behind and embraced him. Tieduo confessed her feelings, but Shuofeng Heye insisted he already had Jinzhuhai and only felt brotherly affection for her. Tieduo refused to give up, arguing that Shuofeng Heye was no ordinary man, having vowed to become king.

Only her, as the Helan chieftain's sister, could help him, while Jinzhuhai would only hold him back, turning him into a dull, ordinary Hanzhou man. Jinzhuhai overheard this and ran away in tears. Shuofeng Heye frantically chased after her and kissed her to prove his sincerity. Tieduo, who had harbored feelings for Shuofeng Heye since she was twelve, couldn't let him go. Early the next morning, she pleaded with Helan Tieyuan to help her get rid of Jinzhuhai.

Tieduo was the most important person to Helan Tieyuan; without her contact and cooperation with Nanku Qi, they would still be wandering the Hanzhou grasslands. However, removing Jinzhuhai would damage his reputation among his people. Helan Tieyuan explained his predicament, but Tieduo insisted he find a way to eliminate Jinzhuhai.

The following day, Old Jinji packed the carts, preparing to leave the Helan tribe, as he found them unsettling and Helan Tieyuan to be someone who does not abide by the rules. Shuofeng Heye thought Old Jinji was overthinking, but he understood the importance of the salt to Old Jinji and promised to leave with him after saying goodbye to Helan Tieyuan.

After Shuofeng Heye left, Jinzhuhai agreed with Shuofeng Heye, and thought Old Jinji was too cautious, but Old Jinji insisted on his judgment that the Helan tribe was not a place to stay. Shuofeng Heye went to say goodbye to Helan Tieyuan, who reminded him of his past vows and led him to a tent filled with weapons, all made by Heluo from Yunzhong City.

Helan Tieyuan summoned the surviving members of the Shuofeng tribe to Shuofeng Heye and told them about how they defeated the Muru cavalry, hoping Shuofeng Heye would stay with the Helan tribe to fulfill his ambition of becoming king. Torn between loyalty and his dream, Shuofeng Heye said he needed to consider it. Helan Tieyuan, to help Tieduo win Shuofeng Heye, drugged Jinzhuhai and ordered Kusuodu to rape her. Although Jinzhuhai resisted, she was no match for Kusuodu.

Old Jinji was also knocked unconscious by Helan Tieyuan. When he awoke, he frantically took Jinzhuhai's clothes to find Shuofeng Heye, reporting that they had been knocked out and Jinzhuhai was missing. Shuofeng Heye and Old Jinji confronted Helan Tieyuan, demanding Jinzhuhai's return.

Helan Tieyuan revealed Old Jinji's identity, stating that Old Jinji's surname was Muru, and that he was a former Muru cavalry general who had deserted to marry a Heshuo woman and live as an ordinary Hanzhou man on the grasslands. Shuofeng Heye sat next to Old Jinji, and said that a good woman shouldn't marry a slave.

Old Jinji smiled and said that Shuofeng Heye was no longer a slave, and that he bought Shuofeng Heye from Soda Meng with the profits from the horse team for his entire life. Shuofeng Heye originally planned to stay in the Soda tribe to seek shelter, because he wanted to gain Soda Meng's strength. Old Jinji said that Jinzhuhai's vision was good, and he believed that she would not see the wrong person.

Old Jinji told Shuofeng Heye not to look down on Jinzhuhai because of her initiative, because once she decides to be good to someone, it will be for a lifetime. Shuofeng Heye said that he would also be good to those who were good to him for the rest of his life. After learning that Shuofeng Heye's relatives had passed away, Old Jinji said that from now on, he and Jinzhuhai would be Shuofeng Heye's family.

Shuofeng Heye said that what he was going to do might make Old Jinji and Jinzhuhai's life uneasy, but Old Jinji said with a smile that as long as Shuofeng Heye treated Jinzhuhai well, he would support whatever Shuofeng Heye did.
