Whirlwind Girl 2 Episode 27 Recap
> Whirlwind Girl 2 Recap
Yi Feng and Chang An decide to forfeit the elegibility competition for safety reasons, a decision initially supported by Yu Hall Master. However, the other disciples, especially Xiao Ying, insist on competing and convince Yi Feng to participate. With two male fighters, Xiu Da and Yi Feng, they still lack a third female contestant, as both Xiao Ying and Guang Ya are injured. Overhearing the discussion, Bai Cao, despite her internal struggles, steps forward to compete for Song Bai.
Prior to her match, Bai Cao grapples with intense psychological pressure, haunted by the memory of Ting Yi's injury. She practices diligently but cannot shake the emotional block. Her friends, including Xiao Ying and Guang Ya, try to dissuade her from competing, understanding her pain, but Bai Cao, seeing herself as a vital part of Song Bai, insists on participating. Chang An provides unwavering support, massaging her knee and encouraging her to calm her mind.
At the An Yang elegibility competition, Bai Cao receives cheers from the audience. Yi Feng wins his match, but Xiu Da loses. When it's Bai Cao's turn, her rookie opponent expresses fear, asking her not to kick her like Ting Yi. This triggers Bai Cao's trauma, causing her to freeze during the match. She remains unresponsive to her opponent's attacks, allowing her to score repeatedly, even taking a kick to the chest.
Chang An's desperate shouts for her to defend herself help her narrowly avoid another blow, but it's too late. Song Bai ultimately loses the competition, leaving everyone stunned. Reporters immediately swarm Bai Cao, but Xiao Ying and Chang An protect her, with Chang An quickly escorting her away. Outside the arena, Yin Xiu from Feng Yun confronts them, coldly mocking Bai Cao's defeat while Bai Cao remains distraught.
Yin Xiu then goes on to dominate her own match with overwhelming skill. Bai Cao visits Ting Yi in the hospital, where Ting Yi initially taunts her about the loss. However, Ting Yi soon confesses her prolonged resentment towards Bai Cao, admitting it stemmed from jealousy. She had blamed Bai Cao for taking Chu Yuan and Ting Hao, and for surpassing her in Yuan Wu Dao.
Ting Yi now realizes that Chu Yuan never truly loved her, and her own intense training at Feng Yun, turning herself into a "machine" to master the "Thunder Fire Kick," was the true cause of her injury, not Bai Cao. Ting Yi apologizes to Bai Cao, encouraging her to overcome her emotional burden, compete fiercely, and save Song Bai, especially since Xian Wu is gone and Ting Yi can no longer fight.
Later, Bai Cao overhears Chang An and Ting Hao talking. Ting Hao expresses profound hatred for Bai Cao, blaming her for Ting Yi's condition and vowing never to forgive her. He even states that while he may have liked Bai Cao before, it wouldn't last forever. Overhearing these harsh words, Bai Cao is heartbroken and drops her thermos.
