She later brings Chang An to the sea, where Ruo Bai is believed to be buried, to finally say goodbye. Deciding to move on, she commits to living well and practicing Yuan Wu Dao, acknowledging that dreams must eventually end. She then places the strawberry hairpin into a box, sealing Ruo Bai and the hairpin into her memories for the time being.
Bai Cao apologizes to Chang An and asks him to continue teaching her Yuan Wu Dao, explaining that her desire to enter the National Youth Competition is now for herself, not Ruo Bai, and to make Song Bai better. Pleased by her renewed determination, Chang An agrees to help.
