Yun Yi followed Doctor Xue's advice and invited Zhang Tianshi to the residence to perform a ritual to expel demonic energy. Although Li Xiaoyao suspected Cai Yi, he had no evidence, so he pulled Lin Yueru along to watch the excitement. As soon as Zhang Tianshi entered, he saw Li Xiaoyao standing nearby and thought he was the young master of the Liu family, describing the condition.

Yun Yi felt awkward next to them until Liu Jinyuan walked over, and Zhang Tianshi gave the same set of explanations again. Li Xiaoyao and Lin Yueru thought Zhang Tianshi was unreliable and decided to see what he could do. While Yun Yi was receiving Zhang Tianshi, Liu Jinyuan ran back to his room and told Cai Yi what was happening, asking her to hide for now, as if he had long known Cai Yi's identity.

Cai Yi said there was no need to worry and that she could handle it. Zhang Tianshi began his ritual. A surge of Zhenqi started to wander around the Liu residence, reaching Liu Jinyuan's bedroom, then suddenly entering directly. A moment later, the Zhenqi returned and struck himself hard. Li Xiaoyao chuckled from the side. Yun Yi hurried forward to ask.

Zhang Tianshi stated that the demon in the residence had profound power and that he needed to bring more magical artifacts to subdue it, so he quickly left. Yun Yi and Lin Yueru escorted Liu Jinyuan back to his room. Li Xiaoyao chased after Zhang Tianshi and heard that the demon in the residence had over a thousand years of power.

When Baopu was about to absorb the Nuwa spiritual energy from Zhao Ling'er, she was rescued by the Sword Mound. When Zhao Ling'er woke up, she found a strange girl beside her. The girl introduced herself as Jiang Wan'er, who grew up in the Sword Mound. Her father was a human, and her mother was an immortal. Zhao Ling'er also explained her identity. The two felt a connection.

Zhao Ling'er described the wonders of the outside world, which Jiang Wan'er greatly envied. However, she told Zhao Ling'er that once she entered the Lock Demon Pagoda, she would never be able to get out, so it would be better to forget the outside world sooner. In the evening, Li Xiaoyao called Lin Yueru to meet at the pavilion. Lin Yueru thought Li Xiaoyao was going to confess his feelings for her and got excited for nothing.

Instead, Li Xiaoyao asked Lin Yueru to track Cai Yi together. After seeing Cai Yi leave, the two followed closely behind but lost track of her shortly after. Lin Yueru also began to suspect that Cai Yi was definitely not an ordinary person, as even with her and Li Xiaoyao's skills, they couldn't keep up. The two stopped in the woods and suddenly saw a large spider.

Immediately after, Cai Yi appeared before them, claiming she was gathering medicinal herbs at night. Lin Yueru suggested continuing to gather herbs together, but Cai Yi was in a hurry to return to the residence. Returning to the Minister's residence, while Cai Yi went to decoct medicine, Li Xiaoyao and Lin Yueru told Liu Jinyuan the truth. Liu Jinyuan, however, became inexplicably angry and told them not to continue suspecting his wife.

Li Xiaoyao felt his good intentions were not appreciated and didn't want to deal with Liu Jinyuan anymore, so he left in a huff. Just as he walked out of the room, he heard Cai Yi feeding Liu Jinyuan medicine and immediately rushed back, knocking over Cai Yi's medicinal soup. The liquid spilled on the flowers, which immediately withered. Cai Yi quickly explained that the truth was not what they saw.

Li Xiaoyao didn't listen and prepared to capture the demon. As Cai Yi ran out of the room, Lin Yueru took care of Liu Jinyuan. After Doctor Xue examined his pulse, he explained that Liu Jinyuan now had two types of demonic energy within him and likely didn't have much time left. Li Xiaoyao couldn't find Cai Yi. He returned to Liu Jinyuan's bedside and pulled Lin Yueru to search for an antidote together.

The two had discovered Cai Yi in the woods earlier and believed she must know how to detoxify him. They went back to the woods behind the mountain to look for Cai Yi.
