Piaopiao asked Wei Chu if there was a misunderstanding between him and Xiao Xiao. Wei Chu assured her he would handle the matter himself and would not harm Xiao Xiao. Meanwhile, Bai Haiyang found Xiao Xiao training despite her injuries and expressed concern for her worsening condition, urging her to stop. Xiao Xiao, however, insisted she must reclaim the Eight Qi Gate, prompting Bai Haiyang to promise his unwavering support.

Chen Bing and Yang Ningxue discovered that Fang Ji was Xiao Xiao's maternal grandfather. Wei Chu then asked them to help locate the police officers who handled the kidnapping case two years prior. Wei Chu, accompanied by the police, arrived at Bai Haiyang's home. Bai Haiyang initially thought Wei Chu was there to arrest Xiao Xiao, but Wei Chu clarified that he intended to help her resolve her doubts.

They then took Xiao Xiao to the site of the past kidnapping. Wei Chu recounted how two years ago, Fang Ji had orchestrated the kidnapping of the heirs of the four great Tai Chi families, including Bai Haiyang, Chen Bing, Yang Ningxue, and Wei Chu himself, in an attempt to leverage them against their parents. Wei Chu and Fang Ji engaged in a fierce battle, both sustaining severe injuries.

Following their confrontation, Fang Ji committed suicide by poison, while Wei Chu was left near death due to the Eight Qi Palm. Xiao Xiao, however, was told by her family a different version of events: that Wei Chu poisoned her grandfather's tea, then staged the kidnapping to kill him. Wei Chu asserted that Fang Ji's death was unrelated to him and that he had a clear conscience.

He explained that he revealed the truth to Xiao Xiao to prevent her suspicions from putting Piaopiao in a difficult position. If Xiao Xiao still harbored doubts, Wei Chu offered a fair competition. Bai Haiyang reassured a distraught Xiao Xiao that she still had him. Xiao Xiao, unable to reconcile the conflicting narratives, decided she needed to uncover the full truth herself.

Later, Bai Haiyang brought Xiao Xiao some herbal medicine, asking why he remained so kind to her despite her past actions. Bai Haiyang expressed his understanding, saying they were both constrained by life, and he would accept all of her, even if others didn't. Xiao Xiao then desired to meet with Piaopiao and Wei Chu. Accompanied by Bai Haiyang, Xiao Xiao found them.

She apologized to Piaopiao for hurting her, assuring her it was unintentional and that she still considered Piaopiao her best friend. Addressing Wei Chu, Xiao Xiao stated she had not yet reached a conclusion regarding her grandfather's death, suggesting they discuss it later.

She revealed that her grandfather had designated her as the Eight Qi Gate Master, but now her cousin Tan Lin (originally Fang Lin) and her uncle Fang Zhaotian (also referred to as Wang Zhaotian) had seized the position. Xiao Xiao clarified that Fang Zhaotian was her sinister and highly skilled maternal uncle who had been expelled from the family.

She warned Piaopiao and Wei Chu that Fang Zhaotian would also participate in the National Martial Arts Congress, having integrated foreign martial arts into his Eight Qi Palm, making him even more formidable. She urged them to be cautious, both on and off the stage, explaining her warning was to prevent Fang Zhaotian from succeeding, as he was the one who severely injured her. Wei Chu acknowledged her warning.

Unaware of Xiao Xiao's new perspective, Yang Ningxue confronted Bai Haiyang upon discovering Xiao Xiao at his home, demanding she leave. Bai Haiyang, to protect Xiao Xiao, publicly declared her his girlfriend and asked Chen Bing and Yang Ningxue to leave. Xiao Xiao, weeping, insisted she had always been using him and never truly loved him. However, Bai Haiyang refused to believe her past happy smiles were false.

He pledged to love her for life, affirming that his home was her home, and there was no one more suitable to stay there than her. Deeply moved by Bai Haiyang's unwavering kindness, Xiao Xiao took him to Fang Ji's grave. There, she shared cherished memories of her grandfather teaching her martial arts.

She admitted her long-held belief that Wei Chu had killed her grandfather and that revenge was her life's purpose, but now, realizing her misunderstanding, she questioned her grandfather's past unethical actions against the Tai Chi descendants. Wei Chu spoke to his grandmother, Wei Min, about Piaopiao leading the Tai Chi system's five-member team in the upcoming National Martial Arts Congress, seeking her support.

Wei Min strongly opposed this, citing Piaopiao's insufficient experience and background, believing she lacked the qualifications to represent the Tai Chi school and that other sects would never agree. Wei Chu argued that Piaopiao's leadership would increase their chances of victory. After discussing Wei Min's resistance with Piaopiao, Wei Chu took on the responsibility of securing her grandmother's approval, instructing Piaopiao to focus solely on her training.

Later, Wei Chu comforted Piaopiao while stargazing, assuring her that Wei Min's concerns stemmed from fear of bringing shame to the Tai Chi system, but that Piaopiao, "his person," would never disgrace them. Following Wei Chu's plan, Bai Haiyang, Chen Bing, and Yang Ningxue approached Wei Min, advocating for Piaopiao as captain due to her leadership and skills, and invited Wei Min to the Tai Chi Pavilion to witness Piaopiao instructing students.

Wei Min, however, immediately recognized their "little trick" and, angered, left. Piaopiao, frustrated, accused Wei Chu of making things worse and declared she would handle her grandmother herself. Wei Chu then promised to be her unwavering support. Piaopiao then sought out Wei Min alone, emphasizing that her visit and intentions were her own.

She passionately explained how Wei Chu had guided her from initial disinterest to a deep understanding and love for Tai Chi, and her current desire to promote it. She affirmed her determination to participate in the Martial Arts Congress and serve as captain, confident her team would win. Impressed by Piaopiao's resolve, Wei Min agreed to a sparring match to assess her skills. During the match, Piaopiao respectfully deferred, acknowledging Wei Min's mastery.

Wei Min recognized Piaopiao's mature Tai Chi techniques and strong team awareness, concluding that Piaopiao was indeed more suitable for the captaincy than Chen Bing. Although other sects might still object, Piaopiao assured Wei Min she would prove her worth during the competition. Wei Min then inquired about the fifth member of the team, to which Wei Chu stated he and Piaopiao would find a solution, earning his grandmother's trust. Piaopiao and Wei Chu then shared a lighthearted moment, celebrating her success.
