Sweet Tai Chi Episode 19 Recap
> Sweet Tai Chi Recap
With the Tai Chi students suffering from sudden, widespread diarrhea, rendering them unable to compete, Wei Chu arrived at the challenge arena, bringing Piaopiao with him. He announced that Piaopiao had officially transferred to the Tai Chi system, making her eligible to represent them. Wei Chu declared Piaopiao his "secret weapon," admitting he had intended to keep her hidden for a while longer, but the current situation necessitated her immediate debut.
Piaopiao swiftly dominated the challenge, defeating opponents from the karate and boxing systems. She then easily threw the judo contestant into the river, securing three consecutive victories for the Tai Chi system. Just as she was about to clinch overall victory, Xiao Xiao emerged from behind Tan Lin, stating her intention to compete. Piaopiao and the others were stunned, initially believing Xiao Xiao was joking and telling her to go to the lounge.
However, a cold Xiao Xiao ignored them and immediately unleashed the long-unseen eight Qi Palm, shocking everyone. This ancient martial art had not been witnessed since the disappearance of Fangji, the former door owner of the eight Qimen. Caught off guard and unwilling to fight her best friend, Piaopiao was injured in her left arm. Xiao Xiao, refusing to show mercy, urged Piaopiao to surrender, declaring her hatred for Wei Chu and the entire Tai Chi system.
She vowed not to relent, regardless of their friendship. Watching from the sidelines, Yang Ningxue realized with horror that Xiao Xiao was responsible for poisoning the Tai Chi students, causing their incapacitation, and was also the one who had attacked Wei Chu earlier. Overwhelmed with sadness, Bai Haiyang left the arena. Piaopiao, her heart aching, then utilized a new move Wei Chu had taught her the day before, ultimately defeating Xiao Xiao.
Despite her victory, Piaopiao felt no joy, shedding tears over the loss of her friend. After the match, Piaopiao and Wei Chu found Xiao Xiao to check on her injuries and talk. Upon seeing Wei Chu, Xiao Xiao’s demeanor shifted. She accused him of deliberately preparing a fake martial arts manual for her to steal and teaching Piaopiao the means to counter her moves.
Ignoring Piaopiao's pleas to talk, Xiao Xiao tearfully told Piaopiao to speak with Wei Chu, as he knew everything, before turning and leaving. Heartbroken, Piaopiao later confided in Wei Chu that when she struck Xiao Xiao down, she knew their friendship was irrevocably broken. She wondered if things would have been different had she not been with him. Wei Chu consoled her, explaining that he had known Xiao Xiao's true identity for a long time.
He revealed that Xiao Xiao was the maternal granddaughter of Baqimen’s former leader and his designated successor. Knowing the ruthlessness of the eight Qimen, Wei Chu stated that a confrontation between Piaopiao and Xiao Xiao was inevitable. He elaborated that due to a deep-seated feud with Baqimen's former leader, he had investigated their lineage and discovered Xiao Xiao.
He then crafted a fake manual with a "fatal flaw" to deliberately lure her into stealing it, setting a trap he knew she would fall for. Meanwhile, Tai Chi students celebrated their victory, but Bai Haiyang was visibly distressed. He could not accept Xiao Xiao's sudden transformation and refused to believe her past kindness towards him was merely a facade.
Convinced she had a hidden reason, he insisted on finding her, despite Chen Bing and Yang Ningxue's attempts to dissuade him. They warned him that Xiao Xiao was now a member of the eight Qimen, had already filed for a leave of absence from school, and that her previous closeness to him was purely for the purpose of stealing martial arts secrets.
They urged him to draw a clear line with her, but Bai Haiyang firmly believed Xiao Xiao was not a bad person and was merely being coerced. He approached Xiao Xiao from behind, asking if she was forced into her actions and pleading with her to stop before becoming a casualty in the conflict between their factions.
Xiao Xiao, avoiding his gaze, coldly admitted that she was not innocent, that her initial purpose in getting close to him was to destroy the Tai Chi system, and that she had poisoned their food to prevent them from fighting. She emphatically declared that she had never genuinely liked him, then struck him to force him to give up. Wei Chu and Piaopiao arrived to find Bai Haiyang injured.
Later, in the hospital, Bai Haiyang woke up, his heart aching more than his physical injuries. Wei Chu instructed everyone to be vigilant and protect themselves, as he knew the people of Baqimen would not rest until the Martial Arts Tournament. Piaopiao, still struggling to comprehend Xiao Xiao's actions against someone she loved, questioned Wei Chu about what he would do if they were ever forced to become enemies.
Wei Chu solemnly promised her that even if she stood against the entire world, he would always be by her side. Piaopiao officially reported to the Tai Chi system as a transfer student. She was warmly welcomed by her fellow students, who affectionately debated whether to call her "Junior Sister" or "Sister-in-law," ultimately settling on both.
Seven months later, while Xiao Xiao was in seclusion recovering from her injuries, Tan Lin, who had long coveted the position of Baqimen's door owner, made his move. He paid a hefty sum to bring back Wang Zhaotian, Xiao Xiao's grand-uncle, who had been exiled from the Fang family years ago for attempting to seize power.
Tan Lin sought Wang Zhaotian's help to become the new door owner, while Wang Zhaotian's true motivation was to reclaim his rightful position as an elder within the clan. Upon his return, Wang Zhaotian confronted the existing elders, dismissing them as "old things" who should be eliminated. He criticized Xiao Xiao’s performance in the challenge, claiming she had shamed the Baqimen and asserting that only Tan Lin, as Fangji’s direct eldest grandson, was fit to lead. The scene escalated, hinting at an imminent internal power struggle within the Fang family and the eight Qimen.
