Sweet Sweet Episode 19 Recap
> Sweet Sweet Recap
Su Mu arrived at the ice cream shop and overheard two employees questioning Tian Tian about whether she was truly his girlfriend. Seeing Tian Tian's hesitation, Su Mu stepped forward, took her hand, and confirmed their relationship, explicitly telling the employees, "Go back and tell them. This is my girlfriend." Tian Tian was visibly happy. Su Mu then reminded Tian Tian about their dinner plans, and they left the shop together to buy groceries.
Elsewhere, Wang Yanyi was passionately pursuing baseball, primarily to get closer to Ding Xiaoyu. He confided in Li Di, stating that while they weren't officially together yet, it was merely a matter of time, and he would never give up on her. He was convinced Ding Xiaoyu liked him, even if she didn't realize it. Li Di challenged Wang Yanyi's confidence, asking if he worried Ding Xiaoyu saw him only as a friend.
Wang Yanyi countered that many couples started as friends, and he intended to treat her as his girlfriend regardless of how she perceived him. Li Di, who himself seemed to be "stuck in love issues," was unhappy upon hearing Wang Yanyi's words. Ding Xiaoyu then called out to Wang Yanyi, and he eagerly went to join her.
Later, Tian Tian showed Su Mu a picture of a house, explaining it was from her "house in the sky" design that had received a zero score for being unrealistic. She mused that life isn't entirely realistic. Su Mu silently took her words to heart. At the mountain hut, Su Mu prepared a hearty dinner. Tian Tian playfully asked for an appetizer, and Su Mu responded by gently kissing her.
He then declared that they were now officially boyfriend and girlfriend, able to go home together and even share breakfast. Tian Tian nodded vigorously. Their romantic evening was interrupted by a call from Tian Tian's mother, who insisted she come home immediately and reiterated that she was not to stay out all night. Upon Tian Tian's return, her mother approved of Su Mu, calling him a "good kid" and "reliable."
She even joked about the convenience of him living across the street for future wedding arrangements. Tian Tian's mother then asked about her UK portfolio submission, expressing concern that if it was accepted, it would be a "challenge" for her new relationship with Su Mu. Tian Tian's father reassured her that they would support her decision, emphasizing that her future was hers to decide.
Tian Tian then checked her email, discovering her portfolio had passed, requiring her to attend an interview in Beijing one week later. While excited about the prospect of studying in the UK, she felt sad at the thought of being separated from Su Mu. Li Di called Tian Tian, who told him she had two important things to share and suggested they meet after his training in a few days.
Shortly after, Su Mu called Tian Tian to her balcony, eager to know if her mother approved of their relationship. Tian Tian confirmed her mother's approval and compliments, making Su Mu laugh joyfully on the phone. Tian Tian then expressed her sadness about the potential long-distance relationship, lamenting that her mother now knew about their relationship and would closely watch her every move. She wished she could wake up every day and see him.
To lighten her mood, Tian Tian proposed a "childish" game: they would sit silently, looking at each other without speaking. Su Mu agreed, and they began their quiet game. The next morning, Tian Tian woke up to find Su Mu sitting by her bed. He had climbed onto her balcony to avoid disturbing her parents, fulfilling her wish to see him upon waking.
Their intimate moment was abruptly interrupted when Tian Tian's mother walked into the room, freezing all three in an awkward silence. Her mother then suggested they come downstairs for breakfast before stiffly leaving the room. Su Mu quickly bade Tian Tian's parents good morning and left. At breakfast, Tian Tian shared the good news about her portfolio passing and the upcoming interview in Beijing for UK study. While her parents were delighted, they noticed her subdued mood.
Her father correctly deduced she was worried about the potential separation from Su Mu, and they promised to discuss it after the interview. Tian Tian then expressed a desire to cook for Su Mu, since he always cooked for her. Her father enthusiastically offered to teach her. Despite his guidance, Tian Tian's cooking skills were lacking, and her first attempt produced unappetizing dishes. Nevertheless, her parents cheered her on and revealed they had already ordered takeaway, having anticipated the outcome.
Tian Tian's father then suggested she invite Su Mu for dinner the next day, assuring her that she wouldn't have to cook, and they could all have a good chat. To make it official, he wrote a formal invitation card. Tian Tian nervously delivered it to Su Mu, explaining her parents' invitation for a "very normal and very simple ordinary meal." Su Mu accepted, and then, to Tian Tian's surprise, kissed her in front of her parents.
Blushing, she quickly ran back home. The following day, Su Mu arrived promptly at noon, dressed in a formal suit and carrying flowers, contrasting with Tian Tian, who was still in her sleepwear. Her parents, also formally dressed, greeted him. The initial conversation was somewhat awkward until Tian Tian's father, an avid calligrapher, discovered Su Mu's appreciation for traditional art, particularly because Su Mu's own name was inspired by the Song Ci poet Su Muzhe.
They bonded over this shared interest, with Su Mu praising Tian Tian's father's calligraphy. Their discussion was cut short when the bathroom water pipe broke again. Su Mu volunteered to fix it, explaining he was already in his suit for a client meeting later and preferred not to change. While repairing the pipe, he accidentally got drenched. Tian Tian profusely apologized, but Su Mu seized the moment to kiss her again.
Hearing their giggles, Tian Tian's mother instructed her to take Su Mu upstairs to dry his hair and clothes to prevent him from catching a cold. In Tian Tian's room, as she retrieved a hairdryer, Su Mu unexpectedly spotted his lost microchip on her desk, finally understanding its whereabouts. As Tian Tian stood on her tiptoes to blow-dry his hair, Su Mu watched her with a fond smile, once again captivated by her.
