Sweet Sweet Episode 10 Recap
> Sweet Sweet Recap
As the rain subsided, Su Mu pursued the flying object he had spotted earlier, leading him to discover that the old man he had previously encountered was Professor Gao. Su Mu, a designer from Wei Lai Aviation, introduced himself and explained that he and his team had spent two years developing an original aircraft, hoping Professor Gao would assist with the exterior design, as Professor Gao was known for supporting originality.
However, Professor Gao immediately refused, stating firmly that he never collaborates with anyone and dismissed Su Mu's plea for consideration. Wang Yanyi and Li Di encountered each other, acknowledging their shared experience from a previous fight. Li Di mentioned he was going to celebrate after a successful proposal, and Wang Yanyi suggested they meet for a drink another day. Meanwhile, Tian Tian arrived, seeking video materials from Professor Gao.
Unlike his stern attitude towards Su Mu, Professor Gao was friendly with Tian Tian, promising to send the edited video to her. When Professor Gao asked for Tian Tian's address, Su Mu quickly interjected and gave the address of his mountain hut. Tian Tian, surprised, confirmed the address. Professor Gao then requested Tian Tian call him "Old Gao," which she agreed to. Afterwards, Tian Tian confronted Su Mu, asking why he gave his address.
Su Mu reasoned that she was going there to make ice cream anyway, and cautioned her against giving her real address to strangers. Tian Tian conceded his point. Su Mu and Tian Tian arranged to meet at his mountain hut at 8 AM the following day. Afterwards, Su Mu returned with Wang Yanyi. Later, Wang Yanyi called Su Mu, expressing concern about Professor Gao's refusal to cooperate. Su Mu assured him he had a plan.
Meanwhile, Tian Tian found herself contemplating her feelings for Su Mu, questioning if she was falling for him but quickly dismissing the idea, asserting that she could never be so forward. That night, while bathing, she experienced vivid hallucinations of Su Mu discussing the water temperature with her, only to be snapped back to reality by her mother, who noted she had been in the bath for two hours.
The next morning, Tian Tian's parents were surprised to find her making breakfast, thinking she had finally matured. However, Tian Tian quickly grabbed the breakfast and left. She arrived at Su Mu's mountain hut to find it in disarray from a heavy rainstorm, with shattered glass.
With urgent matters at his company, Su Mu informed Tian Tian that they couldn't work there and suggested she go to the ice cream shop to prepare his ice cream instead, then rode her to work. Tian Tian's parents noticed her increasingly mysterious behavior, including her early morning rise and unusual demeanor.
Her mother wondered if she was dating or under exam pressure, noticing her increasingly absent-minded state, while her father initially dismissed the dating idea, attributing her strange behavior to general craziness. Tian Tian confided in Tang Mumu, asking if relationships should be explicitly clarified or implicitly understood. Tang Mumu advised clarity and teased Tian Tian about being in love with Su Mu.
Tian Tian denied it, but admitted to being confused about their status, describing it as "just met but quite close." Tang Mumu reiterated her belief that Tian Tian, a formerly unlucky person, had found a "lucky koi" in Su Mu, suggesting a "metaphysical relationship" between them, an observation Tian Tian conceded as she felt less unlucky lately. Tian Tian's parents were astonished when she suddenly appeared at the ice cream shop, mumbling about bringing them breakfast before quickly departing.
Meanwhile, Wang Yanyi returned, frustrated that Professor Gao had dismissed him after only a few words. Su Mu explained that he had given Professor Gao his mountain hut address, anticipating a visit from the professor the next day, which would provide an opportunity to present a design draft. With a tight deadline, Hui Zi volunteered to help Su Mu develop a preliminary design, just as they had done in the past.
Feeling a bit unsettled, Su Mu decided to go buy some ice cream. Around the same time, Tian Tian was at a furniture store, purchasing various items for Su Mu's mountain hut. The total came to 5,500 yuan, which she could not afford outright, so she opted for an installment plan.
When Su Mu arrived at the ice cream shop, Tang Mumu promptly handed him the ice cream Tian Tian had prepared, leaving him no chance to ask about Tian Tian's whereabouts before he paid and left. Meanwhile, Tian Tian diligently worked on reorganizing Su Mu's mountain hut, replacing the skylight glass and arranging the newly purchased furniture, making the entire studio look brand new.
Later, while Su Mu and Hui Zi were working overtime on the design draft, Su Mu had only one ice cream (the one Tian Tian made). Hui Zi, seeing it, invoked their "old rules" and took half, leaving Su Mu unable to decline. Tian Tian, who had spent the day at the studio, eventually returned home feeling exhausted.
Her parents, noticing her unusual behavior, grew concerned, with her mother suspecting Tian Tian might be heartbroken from a breakup, though her father dismissed the idea as Tian Tian hadn't even started dating. After diligently working together, Su Mu and Hui Zi completed the preliminary design draft. Hui Zi praised Su Mu's talent, expressing confidence that Professor Gao would cooperate with his design, and suggested they get Japanese food to celebrate.
Meanwhile, Tian Tian's father, sensing his daughter's emotional turmoil, sat her down for a heartfelt talk. He reminisced about her childhood and his own marriage to her mother, emphasizing that a partner's character and kindness are more important than wealth or appearance. He advised her to find someone who treats her as well as he treats her mother, and to thoroughly understand a person before committing, particularly cautioning against being intimate too early in a relationship, which embarrassed Tian Tian.
Later, Tian Tian reflected on Su Mu, realizing she knew very little about him beyond his quiet nature, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and his fondness for her homemade ice cream, making her wonder about their undefined relationship and noting he wasn't her boyfriend. At the Japanese restaurant, Hui Zi brought up Su Mu's obsessive-compulsive disorder, recalling a high school incident where his friend Mi Ya's prank (messing up his room) led to him not speaking to her for months.
She questioned if he would react the same way if she, Hui Zi, had been the one to mess up his room, to which he replied, "Of course," explaining she was like a sister to him. Hui Zi, who harbored unrequited feelings for Su Mu, also probed about his recently improved mood, linking it to Tian Tian's ice cream.
When she ordered ice cream for him, he refused, stating he only eats the ice cream Tian Tian makes, attributing it to his obsessive-compulsive disorder. Hui Zi offered to help with Professor Gao if needed, but Su Mu confidently stated he could handle it. When she pressed him about his "plan" to get Professor Gao's cooperation now that the drawings were ready, Su Mu simply smiled, keeping his strategy to himself.
