Chen Jingran confessed his feelings to Hua Mingyue, telling her he liked her and wanted to formally pursue her. Hua Mingyue, however, gently rebuffed him, explaining that she only saw him as her best friend and had already fallen for someone else. Despite her clear rejection, Chen Jingran refused to give up, asking for a fair chance. He reminded her of their past engagement, admitting he missed his chance because they didn't know each other well then.

He revealed that he had been smitten since their first meeting and had grown to like her even more as he got to know her. Chen Jingran asked her not to answer immediately and to consider his proposal, promising to wait for her decision before leaving. Meanwhile, Qin Donghai's friends tried to comfort him after his failed attempt to confess to Hua Mingyue. They urged him not to give up, warning him that Chen Jingran was his rival.

Qin Donghai, though, felt that Chen Jingran's words had merit. He then announced that he would not return to the First Factory but would remain to help Hua Mingyue secure her position as chairman. Back home, Hua Mingyue lay in bed, annoyed with Qin Donghai for not confessing his feelings sooner and with Chen Jingran for confessing at all. She resolved to transform herself into an "overbearing female president" to show her former mentor.

The next morning, she arrived at the office attempting a fierce demeanor but quickly dropped it, unable to maintain the facade. To her surprise, Qin Donghai was already waiting for her, having witnessed her brief "tough act" collapse, which mortified her. She quickly tried to compose herself and resume her authoritative posture.

Qin Donghai presented her with a plan he had drafted overnight, advising her to build her own team, develop new products from the factory, and upgrade the Huayang mini-program into full-fledged Huayang software to command respect and differentiate herself from Hua Mingchen. He then expressed his personal desire to leave the group and focus on establishing a dedicated rescue team.

Hua Mingyue, misunderstanding, thought he was leaving her and reacted angrily, telling him to go and that she didn't need him anyway. Qin Donghai tried to clarify that he wanted to tell her something else, but at that moment, Chen Jingran sent a flower basket to Hua Mingyue. Qin Donghai snatched the flowers, saw a confession note inside, and questioned Hua Mingyue about her response to Chen Jingran.

Annoyed and wanting to provoke him, Hua Mingyue ignored Qin Donghai and walked into the conference room, leaving him fuming. During the board meeting, Mr. Niu and other directors, outwardly respectful, offered their full support to Hua Mingyue. Hua Mingyue outlined her plans, including restarting cooperation with Tongda Logistics (though she found their previous terms unfavorable for Flora and suggested re-evaluation) and launching a line of affordable products in addition to the existing high-end ones, promoted through the Huayang software.

However, the directors strongly opposed the idea of producing low-priced goods, arguing it would dilute Flora's high-end brand image. They also pointed out a critical issue: they no longer had a factory for low-cost production, as the First Factory had been sold by the former chairman, Hua Mingchen. Upon hearing this, Qin Donghai and Chen Jingran rushed to help Hua Mingyue.

Qin Donghai advised her that the immediate priority was to contact the buyer to verify the situation, noting that the contract was signed after Hua Mingchen had already left, which indicated possible foul play by Mr. Niu. Together, Hua Mingyue and Qin Donghai visited Mr. Lin, the factory's buyer, to repurchase it at its original price and offered to compensate him for any losses.

After much persuasion and Hua Mingyue emphasizing the factory's sentimental value to her family, Mr. Lin revealed that it was Mr. Niu who sold him the First Factory. Returning to the company, Hua Mingyue and Qin Donghai found Mr. Niu packing his belongings, preparing to flee. Mr. Niu complained that his painstakingly developed overseas market ventures had collapsed due to Hua Mingchen's broken engagement.

Hua Mingyue, however, fired him immediately and declared that they would pursue legal action for his unauthorized sale of the First Factory. Unrepentant, Mr. Niu cursed Hua Mingyue and Qin Donghai, predicting Flora's downfall. Qin Donghai then suggested Hua Mingyue seek help from her second uncle, Hua Mancheng, to stabilize the board. Hua Mingyue sought out Hua Mancheng, who appeared like a commoner, far from the wealthy young master she expected.

Hua Mancheng feigned self-pity, claiming his grandfather never favored him because he wasn't his biological son. Hua Mancheng's sorrow was an act; he had secretly recorded Hua Mingchen tampering with the will to oust him, believing Hua Mingyue would be easier to handle, eventually leaving him to inherit the entire family business. He even considered himself a "charming villain."

Later, Hua Mingyue, accompanied by Qin Donghai and Chen Jingran, visited Hua Mingchen, who was in the countryside promoting e-commerce to local youth. She informed him about firing Mr. Niu, and Hua Mingchen praised her courage. At dinner with Ye Xue Er's father, the latter attempted to set up Qin Donghai with his daughter.

Hua Mingyue and Hua Mingchen both reacted with concern, but Qin Donghai clarified that he already had a girl he liked, though he hadn't told her yet, which reassured them. Hua Mancheng met with Yao Sheng Nan and confessed to her about recording Hua Mingchen's will tampering and sending it to Hua Mingyue. More importantly, he learned that Yao Sheng Nan's father had stripped her of her company shares, leaving her asset-less.

Hua Mancheng proposed an alliance to remove Hua Mingyue from her position. If he became chairman, he would ensure continued cooperation with Yao Sheng Nan's company and help her regain her shares. Yao Sheng Nan was intrigued by his offer and agreed to collaborate. Chen Jingran continued to send flowers to Hua Mingyue daily, but she was more preoccupied with her work. The board's consistent opposition to her plan for affordable products was a major headache.

Chen Jingran offered her unwavering support, empowering her to stand firm before the directors. Meanwhile, Qin Donghai was diligently working on developing the Huayang software and new products to support Hua Mingyue's plans, despite the First Factory's losses. Qin Donghai received a call from his landlord informing him that their rented house had been sold, but they could continue living there.

To everyone's dismay, Chen Jingran revealed himself as the new landlord, having purchased the property to establish a research and development base, while still allowing Qin Donghai and his friends to stay. One day, Chen Jingran, fascinated by Hua Mingyue's natural scent which had a sleep-aiding effect on Qin Donghai, wanted to create an affordable perfume with a similar fragrance. As he leaned close to Hua Mingyue's neck, delicately sniffing for inspiration, Qin Donghai walked in.

Witnessing this intimate scene, Qin Donghai was enraged and pulled Hua Mingyue away. He angrily confronted her, admitting that he was intensely jealous. He clarified that in the future, if Chen Jingran needed to "analyze her body fragrance," she should inform him beforehand, as he had more experience in that area and could teach Chen Jingran the "correct posture."
