Xue Tong, arriving to submit her homework, overheard the heated exchange. Feeling guilty about the broken CD and witnessing Mu Chenghe's stress, she volunteered to help him with his experiment.
Despite his initial reluctance, they ended up working together in the laboratory late into the night, completing a presentation poster for the school journal. Seeing Mu Chenghe's relieved smile, Xue Tong mustered the courage to confess about the broken CD. To her surprise, he wasn't angry and calmly reassured her not to worry about it, adding that he still had more experiments to do.
As the National Day holiday approached, Bai Lin's plans to go to the beach with Zhong Qiang were canceled because his swimming team was suddenly scheduled for training.
