Feeling embarrassed, Xue Tong hesitantly asked what she should be mindful of if "something truly happened" during their trip. Soon after, Xue Tong and Mu Chenghe embarked on their romantic journey to Malaysia. Amidst the crystal blue waters and picturesque landscapes, Xue Tong, full of excitement, posed many questions. Afterwards, as they relaxed by the sea, Mu Chenghe opened up, sharing his past about studying in Russia at 16, feeling lonely, and how diving became his escape from reality. He confessed that he had never shared his underwater world with anyone before her. Xue Tong then asked him to explain his earlier "temperature and time" quote from Valentine's Day.
Mu Chenghe explained the concept of heat transfer in general relativity, implying that once such a transfer occurs, the experience can never be erased, leading to a playful exchange of "heat transfer" with cold water. Their romantic trip concluded swiftly, and Mu Chenghe returned with Xue Tong to Donghu, heading directly to his place. To their surprise, they encountered Mu Chenghe's mother, who had come to tidy his apartment.
She was astonished to see her son with a female university student and became furious upon learning he had gone diving. Feeling awkward, Xue Tong decided to leave. Separately, Mu Hai arranged to meet Zhao Xiaotang at their old favorite spicy skewer spot. Over their meal, Mu Hai sought her assistance with his business venture.
He explained his 3D printing project and how bringing it back to China would fill a huge market gap, but he needed her as an assistant to add credibility and leverage their "tacit agreement." Zhao Xiaotang, wary of his past disappearances, agreed to help, but insisted on being paid per task. Later, Xue Tong, Chen Yan, and their friends uncovered a restaurant that illegally sold wild animal meat.
They tried to trick the owner into showing them wild snakes, then proceeded to track the restaurant's supplier to catch him red-handed at a market. Upon hearing this, Mu Chenghe became extremely worried and rushed to provide support. Fortunately, the police also arrived in time, ensuring Xue Tong and Chen Yan's safety without incident, and the restaurant owner was arrested.
As Mu Chenghe drove Xue Tong and Chen Yan back, after Chen Yan exited the car, Xue Tong quietly confessed to Mu Chenghe that she didn't want to be alone that night. Mu Chenghe took her back to his home, sternly advising her never to take such dangerous risks again and expressing his deep concern.
