Since I Met U Episode 3 Recap
> Since I Met U Recap
Following up on his offer, Cheng Mu proposes that he and Jiang Sihan move in together to better care for Rui Rui. Jiang Sihan is initially hesitant about the implications of cohabitation. Cheng Mu explains that he cannot bring Rui Rui to his shop every day, and her flexible work schedule is ideal for childcare.
Although she suggests simply sending Rui Rui to her place, Cheng Mu counters that constantly moving the child between homes might make him feel like a burden. Sweetening the deal with free room and board, Cheng Mu emphasizes how happy Rui Rui would be with her there. Considering her own financial strain and Rui Rui's well-being, Jiang Sihan agrees. The next day, Cheng Mu anxiously waits for Jiang Sihan, worrying she might have changed her mind.
When she arrives, delayed by traffic, he gives her a tour of the house, showing her the kitchen, study, and the designated rooms for Rui Rui, himself, and her. Before leaving for work, he reminds Rui Rui to listen to his aunt. Jiang Sihan observes that Cheng Mu's room is decorated in a stark black, white, and gray palette, reflecting his personality. She then surprises an overjoyed Rui Rui by transforming his plain room into a vibrant, colorful space.
Later, when Rui Rui says he's hungry, she makes him his favorite steamed eggs. At the office, Jingyang visits Cheng Yu to celebrate the record-breaking launch of their recent project. He presents her with a bouquet, but Cheng Yu notices he has merely re-gifted flowers meant for her, pointing out the original card he forgot to remove. After he apologizes, Jingyang boldly asks her to a celebratory candlelight dinner, citing his new status as the company's "headliner."
At dinner, they discuss Rui Rui, and Cheng Yu mentions that Jiang Sihan has officially moved in with Cheng Mu to care for the boy, speculating that they are now living like a family. She urges Jingyang to consider his own romantic future, prompting him to ask what she thinks of him. She deflects by talking about her brother and Jiang Sihan.
Annoyed when she tries to have her assistant schedule their "date" like a business appointment, Jingyang explicitly states he is pursuing her. Cheng Yu politely rejects him, saying they are not a good match, a claim he playfully refutes. Later, by a musical fountain, Jingyang encourages a tipsy Cheng Yu to dance with him. She resists, admitting she is not as perfect as he imagines.
He insists this side of her makes him like her even more, but she calls him stubborn. She tells him that if he weren't so young, she might have considered it. Jingyang argues that age is not a barrier, but Cheng Yu maintains that for her, it is, making a relationship between them impossible. Meanwhile, at Cheng Mu's dessert shop, Sol, employees worry about a new rival, "Sweet," opening just a street away.
Cheng Mu reassures them, framing the competition as proof of their own success and status as a local landmark. He advises his team to stay focused and not panic. Later, he develops a new dessert and, uncharacteristically, leaves work on time to take it home, refusing to let his colleagues have a taste.
His early departure sparks speculation: some think he has a date, while others believe he's rushing home to Rui Rui, noting his workaholic habits have softened since the boy's arrival. His colleagues later gossip about his new living arrangement, impressed that he initiated moving in with Jiang Sihan so quickly. At home, Cheng Mu finds the house transformed by Jiang Sihan's presence, now feeling warmer and more alive.
Rui Rui teases that Cheng Mu will never find a wife if he keeps his room so bland. Jiang Sihan installs a "kid-watching gadget"—a camera sent by her brother-in-law, Zhou Ming. Cheng Mu presents the new dessert he brought home. After tasting it, Jiang Sihan describes the flavor as two long-separated people joyfully reuniting and suggests naming it "Meeting," which impresses Cheng Mu.
In his room, she discovers a single rose preserved under a glass dome and briefly wonders if it's one she once gave him before dismissing the idea. Later, a playful water fight erupts during Rui Rui's bath. After Jiang Sihan scolds Cheng Mu for retaliating against a child, she orders him to clean the messy bathroom.
When Rui Rui suggests his godfather might slack off, Jiang Sihan declares she will supervise him, leading to a lighthearted, flirtatious misunderstanding about her supervising his shower. To ensure harmony, Jiang Sihan drafts a "Cohabitation Agreement." The rules include respecting private rooms, sharing chores and expenses, and dressing appropriately.
She adds a key rule for Cheng Mu: he must notify her before leaving the house, explaining that with Rui Rui in her care, it would be dangerous if they were both out. Cheng Mu agrees, and the three of them seal the pact with their fingerprints, taking a photo to commemorate the moment.
