Sheng Jingchu and He Yu participated in an interview for the Pair Go Paris Championship. During the interview, the hostess introduced Sheng Jingchu, a nine dan player, and He Yu, a five dan player. He Yu was notably assertive, speaking for both of them and emphasizing their "sync" and "unbreakable bond" despite being a temporary team. Sheng Jingchu, described as "a man of few words," mostly remained silent.

After the interview, He Yu eagerly suggested they take a photo, a recurring action that annoyed Sheng Jingchu. Meanwhile, Qi, Sheng Jingchu’s assistant, deeply regretted his drunken remarks from the night before. The next morning, he went to Cheng Liao with a trending cake, begging her not to mention his slip-up to Mr. Sheng, fearing for his job. Cheng Liao kindly reassured him that she wouldn't say a word and that "those from Jiuzhou" would also keep quiet.

Unbeknownst to them, Yao Ke instructed his assistant, Pu, to create a dummy Weibo account. Yao Ke’s plan was to send messages to He Yu, disguised as fan mail, to reveal that Sheng Jingchu’s relationship with Cheng Liao was solely for therapeutic reasons – to treat his psychological issue of colorblindness. Yao Ke believed He Yu, "messing up because she cares too much," would fall for this scheme, calling it an "interesting secret."

The Go tournament commenced, and Cheng Liao watched from home. Commentators praised Sheng Jingchu and He Yu's telepathic understanding and synergy. Cheng Liao, annoyed by their comments, called them out for using "gibberish." Ultimately, Sheng Jingchu and He Yu emerged victorious, winning the championship. During the celebratory photo opportunity, Sheng Jingchu's deliberate movements to avoid He Yu were evident to Cheng Liao, bringing her a sense of relief and happiness.

Later, He Yu confronted Sheng Jingchu in his room, trying to convince him that their perfect synergy in the game meant they were "destined to be together." Sheng Jingchu, however, firmly rejected her, stating that "there's no way we're destined." He declared that "there's only one Liao Liao in the world" and that she was "someone I want to spend my life with."

He acknowledged that Cheng Liao might not understand Go, but she understood him, and "that's all I need." Soon after, He Yu received a fan mail (sent by Yao Ke) containing details about Sheng Jingchu’s colorblindness, describing it as a "severe psychological problem" and detailing his past struggles with various psychologists to regain his ability to see colors.

The mail claimed he saw a "girl of color" during a tournament and was advised by his psychologist to interact with her regularly, "like taking medicine," at least three times a day, to aid his recovery. He Yu then called Cheng Liao, revealing the contents of the fan mail and concluding that Cheng Liao was the "girl of color."

Feeling defeated by such an "absurd reason" and realizing that no one could replace Cheng Liao in Sheng Jingchu's healing, He Yu stated she would "disappear from your life" and told Cheng Liao not to worry as she would withdraw. Cheng Liao was devastated by this revelation, grappling with the idea that Sheng Jingchu's persistent pursuit of her might have been purely for the sake of his treatment. Conflicted and upset, Cheng Liao sought advice from her friend, Encyclopedia Yan.

She posed a hypothetical question: if someone sees the world in black-and-white but sees her in color, and approaches her solely for that reason, would it be considered love? Yan initially joked about it being a "destined-like persona" if the person was handsome, but then offered a serious perspective: love can manifest in countless ways, and destiny is merely the reason two people notice each other.

She emphasized that a human heart "is something invisible and untouchable," which cannot be quantified, urging Cheng Liao to trust her own feelings or directly confront Sheng Jingchu upon his return. Cheng Liao, consumed by anger and sadness, admitted her fear that Sheng Jingchu might abandon her once he no longer needed her to see colors. That evening, Sheng Jingchu texted Cheng Liao, expressing his eagerness to return home the next day and see her.

Haunted by He Yu's words and her own fears, Cheng Liao hesitated to reply, fearing his affections were solely tied to his condition. The following morning, Sheng Jingchu texted her again from the airport, stating he was about to take off and would see her that night, reassuring her, "No matter what happens, wait for me and we'll get through that together." His assistant informed him that He Yu would be staying behind for personal reasons.

In transit, Sheng Jingchu looked around at the monochromatic car interior and expressed his desire to change his house's decor, which had always been in black, white, and gray, now that he could see colors. Back home, Cheng Liao channeled her emotional turmoil into cooking, creating numerous portions of spicy stir-fried clams for her "Fox Private Kitchen" video. Her father and Yan observed her unusual behavior, noting her bad mood.

Her father asked Yan to comfort Cheng Liao, wondering if she missed Sheng Jingchu or feared He Yu's influence. Cheng Liao, however, dismissed his concerns. Still, she continued to text Sheng Jingchu, receiving no reply, and decided she wouldn't initiate contact, waiting for him to reach out instead. Later, Jiang Yuda called Sheng Jingchu, desperately asking for help. Sheng Jingchu found Jiang Yuda heavily intoxicated at a "Beer Go Tournament" in a bar, engaged in a Go match while drinking.

When Sheng Jingchu attempted to leave with his inebriated apprentice, other patrons insisted he join them for more Go and drinks. Meanwhile, Cheng Liao continued to wait at home for Sheng Jingchu, receiving no updates. Eventually, Sheng Jingchu also became thoroughly drunk, and only then were they permitted to leave the bar. Both men called Cheng Liao and Cheng Yi, respectively, for a pick-up.

Cheng Yi arrived and took Jiang Yuda away in a taxi, leaving Cheng Liao to escort a heavily inebriated Sheng Jingchu home. At home, a still-drunk Jiang Yuda poured out his heart to Cheng Yi, reiterating his love. He spoke of a "soul resonate" between them, stemming from their shared dedication to their careers and their underlying loneliness, drawing them together. He declared Cheng Yi his "soul mate" and vowed that "everything I do is worth it" for her.

Back at her home, Cheng Liao, seizing the moment with a drunken Sheng Jingchu, confronted him directly, asking, "Do you see everything in black-and-white? Am I the only color in your eyes?"
