The Seven Relics of ill Omen Episode 14 Recap
> The Seven Relics of ill Omen Recap
The matter with Old Yan was rather tricky, and Yan Hongsha needed to stay behind to assist with the investigation. Thirteen-Thousand also wanted to stay—he couldn’t get over the emotional hurdle in his heart. The Heart Relic matter couldn’t be delayed, so Luo Ren and the others had to return to Lixi with the relic first.
Before leaving, Zhama gave Luo Ren a small pouch, saying his mother could tell Luo Ren had something on his mind, but hoped he could let it go and bravely pursue the person he liked. Thirteen-Thousand took a red apple to the cliffside to mourn the wild man, and Yan Hongsha picked a bouquet of small white flowers. Thirteen-Thousand told Yan Hongsha that if she missed her grandfather, she should just cry it out.
Looking at the candle, Thirteen-Thousand couldn’t hold back his tears either. Mu Dai noticed the small pouch—it contained a bracelet woven by Zhama’s mother, identical to the one she had given Mu Dai. Mu Dai told Luo Ren that it was meant to aid romantic fate. While resting on the road, Luo Ren finally gathered the courage to confess to Mu Dai. Mu Dai personally put the bracelet on him, and the two embraced.
Tears of happiness streamed down Mu Dai’s face. After the Heart Relic was thrown into the water tank, it began behaving abnormally. Luo Ren confirmed their previous suspicion—there must be another wild man, and another piece of amber. The amber they currently had wasn’t complete. The spiritual medium’s findings were similar to Luo Ren’s. As for how many Heart Relics existed, the spiritual medium didn’t know either.
Uncle Zhang, upon learning that Cao Yanhua had returned, called him over and gave him a scolding. Uncle Zheng also berated Luo Ren from the side, while Mu Dai sat upstairs, eating melon seeds and watching. After Luo Ren found out that Lian Shu had helped look after Pingting, he warned Uncle Zheng not to associate with Lian Shu anymore. After sending Yan Hongsha home, Thirteen-Thousand listed all the preparations needed for the funeral.
Just then, a debt collector showed up. Yan Hongsha immediately wanted to fight, but Thirteen-Thousand quickly stopped her. After figuring out the situation, Yan Hongsha learned that the house already pledged as collateral wasn’t enough to cover the debt her second uncle owed—there was still 1. 2 million left. She immediately promised that she would repay the remaining amount. Thirteen-Thousand comforted Yan Hongsha, saying she wasn’t alone—she still had all of them as friends.
The restaurant was being renovated, and Uncle Zheng had Lian Shu watch over Pingting. Luo Ren got straight to the point and asked Lian Shu what her intentions were. Lian Shu claimed she was simply being kind. Seeing Luo Ren didn’t trust Lian Shu, Mu Dai said she would spend more time looking after Pingting and pay more attention to the restaurant matters.
Mu Dai went with Lian Shu to pick out wallpaper, when Pingting suddenly stood up and said, “Sister, go upstairs,” and then even made a “shhh” sound. Zhama called Luo Ren and told him that the one who died was an ape, not a wild man.
As for the vanished village in Moonlight Mountain, he recently overheard elderly villagers chatting about how twenty years ago, a woman had been assaulted by a wild man and was rumored to have given birth to a half-wild child. Although her husband warned her against it, the woman ultimately abandoned her family and entered the mountains, never to return. Pingting had been repeating “Sister, go upstairs” all day.
Luo Ren saw from the surveillance that when Lian Shu approached the Heart Relic’s room, the relic began to show abnormal fluctuations. Luo Ren called Thirteen-Thousand and Cao Yanhua to go find Mu Dai. She had already been knocked out and taken away by Lian Shu. Since they couldn’t report it to the police, Luo Ren had no choice but to check the surveillance cameras one by one.
Lian Shu had tied up Mu Dai and showed her the piece of amber hanging from her neck. Lian Shu resented her mother for disregarding her reputation and entering the mountains to care for the wild man, leaving her and her father behind. Although her father later killed the wild man, her mother still went into the mountains without hesitation. Later, her mother returned once and left her a piece of amber.
