> Princess Silver Recap

Fu Chou, refusing to believe he holds no place in Rong Le's heart, appears before her, having traveled a great distance and risked his life merely to speak with her like an old friend. He asks if she truly finds him terrifying. Rong Le asserts he should not think so highly of himself, explaining that while she once thought she would hate him forever, her past year has been filled with happiness, realizing that love can erase hatred.

Her heart is now entirely devoted to Wu You, leaving no room for animosity towards anyone else. Fu Chou counters that there must be a place for him in her heart, even if for hatred, and advances despite her warning. When Rong Le draws a sword and strikes him, Fu Chou does not evade, instead stepping into the blade, remarking that dying by her hand would be a welcome relief, despite his current control over half of Northern Lin.

Just then, Wu You bursts into the room. Fu Chou, seeing Wu You's white hair, is greatly surprised. Before Fu Chou can react, a masked assailant fires a dart, striking Rong Le. In the ensuing chaos, Hen Xiang cuts a rope, causing a lantern to fall and ignite a fire.

Hen Xiang then uses the confusion to escape with the injured Fu Chou, while Wu You, at the last moment, rushes into the burning structure to retrieve the Blood Raven Root. Rong Le, wounded in the shoulder but with her vitals unharmed, is attended to by Ke'er and Ling Yue. As they bandage her, Rong Le feels uneasy, observing Wu You's stern face from beyond her bed curtains.

Once bandaged, she dismisses others to speak with Wu You, believing he is angered by her secret meeting with Fu Chou. She explains that although Fu Chou provided the Blood Raven Root, she will not accept his gesture or consume the herb, vowing never to forget the harm he inflicted upon them. Wu You, concealing a burn on his hand, curtly states he has work to do and tells her to rest, then abruptly leaves.

Back in his study, Wu You instructs Leng Yan to intensify the search for Fu Chou, ordering a covert manhunt across clinics, inns, residential areas, and all possible hideouts. He notes that the rhombus darts used by Fu Chou's rescuers resemble those of the Creed of Vengeance, though Leng Yan confirms the Creed itself does not use such weapons but their operational methods are similar.

As Wu You gazes at the safely retrieved Blood Raven Root, he is deep in thought. Empress Fu Yuan, having received a secret letter, summons Sir Chang, questioning his year of service to Prince Regent Fu Chou and subtly suggesting that Fu Chou might value him more than his own mother. Sir Chang humbly deflects, acknowledging both Fu Chou and Fu Yuan as his masters.

Fu Yuan then probes whether Fu Chou has visited Lady Yun's tomb since his reign began. Sir Chang confirms he has not, assuming it brings back sad memories, but Fu Yuan states she heard Fu Chou ordered the tomb cared for like his other estates.

After Sir Chang affirms that Lady Yun's body remains undisturbed in her crystal coffin, Fu Yuan expresses disgust that Wu You left his mother's body in Zhongshan, calling him a disgraceful son who cares less than Fu Chou. She dismisses Sir Chang, ordering him to accompany her to the tomb the next day, despite his protests about Wu You's prohibition on entry. Sir Chang reluctantly agrees to make arrangements.

The following day, Fu Yuan visits Lady Yun's tomb, where she finds Yun'er's body perfectly preserved, looking identical to 16 years prior. Her anger rising, Fu Yuan bitterly remarks that Yun'er died too soon to witness the events now unfolding with their grown children, but declares she will witness it in Yun'er's place. She then asserts it's time to "let Yun'er get some sunlight," implying her intent to disturb the body.

Hen Xiang takes the severely injured and unconscious Fu Chou to a secluded dwelling. Realizing she needs medicine, she ventures out and discovers soldiers conducting a house-to-house search, holding wanted posters of Fu Chou. In a desperate move, Hen Xiang coerces a traveling physician into treating Fu Chou.

As the doctor tends to him, Fu Chou unconsciously grips Hen Xiang's hand, triggering her memory of the night she impersonated Rong Le, recalling how Fu Chou had shown her deep affection then. She reflects on the past year, how she had almost convinced herself she had moved on from him. However, his reappearance shattered that illusion, making her realize all her efforts were in vain.

She remembers his kindness from over a decade ago when they trained under the Creed, which made her believe they could share a life together, a dream she tirelessly pursued until he grew distant. She even contemplates the child they share, uncertain if she should reveal its existence to him. During a meal with Wu You, Rong Le diligently serves him dishes. She notices a burn on his hand as he picks up his chopsticks.

Wu You, attempting to avoid further questions, feigns urgent work and tries to leave. Just then, Ke'er arrives with an herbal soup, informing Wu You that Rong Le personally selected the ingredients, including sicklepods, Cynanchum, Betula, and Platycodon. Wu You understands this is Rong Le's attempt to apologize. He questions if she truly comprehends his concerns, asking if she believes he's merely jealous of Fu Chou's affection for her.

Seeing Wu You about to depart, Rong Le quickly tells him she will wait for him at the School of Wisdom the following afternoon. The next day at noon, Wu You arrives at the School of Wisdom. He finds children reciting classics, specifically the "Three Character Classic," while circling hand-in-hand. The children playfully surround him, announcing that Rong Le is hiding and he must find her himself before dispersing.

As a slightly exasperated Wu You begins his search, Rong Le playfully covers his eyes from behind. She affectionately promises he will never have to search for her again, assuring him she will always be by his side and will be more cautious to avoid danger. Wu You gravely clarifies that he was not angry, but "afraid" for her safety. Rong Le acknowledges his concern, promising to better protect herself and not cause him worry again.

Wu You echoes the sentiment, expressing his wish for her not to worry him either. Reconciled, they share a tender moment, and Rong Le mentions an old custom where a couple ties strands of their hair together on their wedding day, symbolizing their lifelong bond. Upon regaining consciousness, Fu Chou struggles to leave, but Hen Xiang calmly informs him that wanted posters bearing his likeness are circulating throughout the Southern Border, with soldiers and checkpoints everywhere.

She advises him that while this remote area offers temporary respite, it's not safe for long, adding that as Prince Regent of Northern Lin, someone is surely coming to extract him. She then prepares to leave. Outside, Hen Xiang confronts the physician, intending to silence him. The doctor, dropping a small bell from his sleeve, frantically pleads for his life, revealing it's a gift for his daughter, who just celebrated her first birthday.

He tearfully begs Hen Xiang not to leave his child fatherless. Hen Xiang, reminded of her own daughter, is visibly softened and, for the first time, shows mercy, letting the doctor go with a warning. Fu Chou, observing this rare act of compassion, notes it's the first time he's seen her spare someone. Hen Xiang responds with a bitter observation: no one is born cruel and heartless. As Fu Chou prepares to leave, a group of soldiers approaches the residence.

To evade capture, Fu Chou and Hen Xiang feign a marital dispute. Hen Xiang dramatically splashes water on Fu Chou's wanted poster, blurring his image just as the soldiers demand to see him. A soldier reports finding a dart outside, prompting their captain to redirect his men to pursue the new lead, allowing Fu Chou and Hen Xiang to escape detection.

Later, Fu Chou, aware that Xiang Ying aided their escape, confronts him, declaring that all past grievances are now forgotten because Xiang Ying saved his life. He dismisses Xiang Ying, saying he is no longer his master, as the Creed is gone. Fu Chou then reveals his knowledge: he knows Xiang Ying pledged loyalty to Rong Le after she saved him.

He admits that his harsh punishment of Xiang Ying in the past was not for failure but because Xiang Ying deliberately risked Rong Le's life at Clear Lake for Hen Xiang's sake, believing her death would fulfill Hen Xiang's desires. He understood that Xiang Ying's subsequent service to Rong Le stemmed from a troubled conscience. Xiang Ying, surprised that Fu Chou knew everything, asks why he let him go.

Fu Chou replies that it's because they were once brothers in arms, having fought side-by-side for ten years. He acknowledges Xiang Ying never disappointed him until his love for Hen Xiang almost led to Rong Le's death. Xiang Ying admits his betrayal but insists he never truly betrayed Fu Chou and never revealed his past secrets. He offers his life if Fu Chou still desires his death.

Fu Chou, known for showing no mercy to traitors, declares their score settled by this rescue. He states that if they meet again, they will owe each other nothing, and he will show no mercy. Before dismissing Xiang Ying, Fu Chou advises him that the greatest pain is not getting what one desires, and true peace comes from letting go of obsessions.

Xiang Ying replies that such detachment is easier said than done, as the absence of what is desired is precisely what fuels obsession. Hen Xiang attempts to reveal to Fu Chou that they have a daughter. However, Xiang Ying intervenes, pulling her away. He warns her against telling Fu Chou, explaining that their child was conceived when Hen Xiang was disguised as Rong Le, which ultimately caused Fu Chou to lose Rong Le entirely.

He argues that Fu Chou, knowing this, would only acknowledge the child to take her away from Hen Xiang. Xiang Ying urges Hen Xiang, who has lived peacefully for a year without Fu Chou, to let go of her lingering hopes, reminding her that she has lost her pride in love. Hen Xiang, though acknowledging she will let go, insists she must first ensure Fu Chou's safe departure.

Xiang Ying points out that Fu Chou is trying to sever all ties with her, wanting her to avoid risking her life for him. Hen Xiang remains resolute, stating this is her last act for him. Meanwhile, Ke'er examines Rong Le and looks troubled. Rong Le reassures her not to be sad, admitting she has been feeling dizzy, symptoms strikingly similar to when her poison first flared up a year ago. She suspects the poison is active again.

Ke'er confirms the signs of poisoning and reiterates that the Blood Raven Root is the only known cure, lamenting that someone else obtained it last time. Rong Le, not revealing that Fu Chou sent her the Blood Raven Root, muses that perhaps the herb is simply not meant for her.

She expresses a newfound resolve to cherish the present, to live fully, and to devote herself to Wu You, no longer dwelling on past regrets or questions of right and wrong, accepting that her life may be nearing its end. Ke'er, encouraged by Rong Le's resilience and her year without relapse due to her own remedies, resolves to review all her prescriptions.

Wu You then arrives with the Blood Raven Root, instructing Ke'er to add it to Rong Le's medicine and keep its administration a secret from Rong Le. He explains that Rong Le conceals her true condition to prevent worry, and only by administering the medicine discreetly will she take it. After Wu You leaves, Rong Le emerges from her room, seeing the red Blood Raven Root in Ke'er's hand and her conflicted feelings are evident. Separately, Wu You receives an agent's report that Fu Chou's tracks have been found at the border, indicating the search continues.
