At that time, she was wrongly accused of plagiarism. Instead of trusting her, Lu Nan ordered Yun Fan to book her a ticket to Italy. Su Bei confronted him, asserting her innocence with her original drafts, but Lu Nan was unyielding.
He argued that the accuser was dead, making it impossible to prove her innocence, and that her staying would only invite public criticism and ruin Eminence. Heartbroken, Su Bei questioned if she could ever be a designer again and if Lu Nan intended to blame everything on her once she was gone.
In a fit of rage and disappointment, Su Bei proposed a divorce, declaring that he had no right to force her abroad if she was no longer his wife. Su Bei instructed her assistant, Yu Jia, to prioritize quality by using high-precision embroidery and premium fabrics, even if it meant sacrificing profit, to uphold Eminence's reputation. Later, Lu Nan brought late-night snacks for the team, but his affectionate gestures towards Su Bei earned teasing remarks from Ye Ting. The next afternoon, Eminence's new collection, the "Pure" series, was successfully launched during a live stream. Su Bei appeared as the designer, sharing her inspiration.
Watching the live stream, Gu Yan praised Su Bei's talent and resilience to a resentful Lu Fei Er, suggesting any man would eventually fall for Su Bei. He subtly mocked those who tried to win through plagiarism, implying Lu Fei Er. The live stream was a massive success, with sales doubling expectations, thrilling the Eminence team. Ye Ting was so excited she almost hugged Su Bei, but Lu Nan playfully intervened, joking that his jealousy extended even to women.
He then complimented Su Bei, saying he was more concerned with her hard work than her achievements, which he always expected to be excellent. However, the board was not satisfied. They pressured Lu Nan to find the internal mole responsible for the leak, threatening to suspend him if he failed. Lu Nan presented evidence pointing to Ye Ting, including a bank statement showing a sudden deposit of 500,000 yuan into an account in her name.
Ye Ting denied any knowledge of the account or the money, but she had no way to prove her innocence. Su Bei vehemently defended Ye Ting, expressing her absolute belief in her. Lu Nan, while defending Su Bei's integrity to the skeptical board, was ultimately forced to concede to their demands, announcing that Ye Ting would be handed over to the police for investigation. Later, in his office, Lu Nan confronted Su Bei about her "self-centered" behavior, accusing her of disrespecting him in front of the board. She reminded him of the past seven years when Ye Ting stood by her through her plagiarism crisis, childbirth, and work struggles, while Lu Nan was absent. Su Bei immediately confronted Lu Nan in his office, accusing him of discarding her now that the crisis was solved. Lu Nan coldly suggested she return home to focus on their family and have more children. Su Bei saw through his attempt to sideline her and accused him of being self-serving, just as he was seven years ago. The argument escalated, with Su Bei declaring she would have her lawyer draft the divorce papers.
Lu Nan callously responded that upon divorce, she would receive no money and no custody of Chris. This was the final straw; Su Bei announced her decision to leave Eminence and start her own brand, MISS. Her loyal design team, including Ye Ting and Yu Jia, immediately pledged to follow her. As Su Bei prepared to leave Lu Nan's home with Chris, Grandma Lu tearfully pleaded with her to stay and begged Lu Nan to intervene.
Lu Nan remained cold, stating that Su Bei was free to leave but Chris should stay. Grandma Lu, distraught, collapsed. Chris, seeing his great-grandmother in distress, decided to stay with her. Su Bei, with a heavy heart, entrusted Chris to Grandma Lu, promising to pick him up later. At the grand opening of MISS Studio, Su Bei gave an inspiring speech about turning dreams into reality and building a successful enterprise based on mutual trust and hard work.
Her former colleagues cheered her on. Later, Gu Yan invited her to a celebratory dinner, where he apologized that his company’s business decisions had inadvertently caused such a large conflict in her marriage. He then offered her a substantial project: designing the clothing for an upcoming environmental conference, including daily wear, evening gowns, and promotional outfits with Chinese characteristics. He emphasized the immense publicity this would bring to MISS Studio.
Su Bei, cautious because she had just told Lu Nan she wanted a divorce, expressed concerns about public opinion and requested time to consider the offer, which Gu Yan readily granted. Meanwhile, Chris, observing Lu Nan's regretful demeanor at home, encouraged him to pursue Su Bei, noting that Lu Nan was clearly jealous. Following Chris's advice, they waited outside Su Bei's apartment. When Gu Yan dropped Su Bei home, they encountered Lu Nan and Chris.
Chris innocently revealed Lu Nan's jealousy to Su Bei. Gu Yan then offered to play soccer with Chris on the weekend. Lu Nan, visibly annoyed, intervened, declaring that he would spend time with his own child and that Su Bei, as his legal wife, deserved respect.
