Driven by jealousy over Yu Fei and Bai Feili's social media post, Brother Dao decides to uncover any flaws in Bai Feili. He enlists his junior, Xiao Zhu, to discreetly infiltrate Jiubai Studio, where they hide inside a giant instant noodle box. Inside the studio, Bai Feili is seen consulting with Guan Jiu about wig designs for the upcoming project, "Dragon Scale".
Witnessing their close interaction, Brother Dao misinterprets the situation and bursts out of his hiding spot, loudly demanding Bai Feili to release Guan Jiu and questioning his loyalty to Yu Fei. Guan Jiu, confused by the stranger's outburst, asks who he is. Yu Fei, arriving just then, recognizes Brother Dao (by his real name, Wang Zhongqiang) and, surprised by his presence, quickly covers for him, claiming he is an old friend who simply came for instant noodles.
Later, at a barbecue stall, Yu Fei introduces Brother Dao as her childhood friend, but Bai Feili promptly introduces himself as Yu Fei's boyfriend. To get Yu Fei away, Brother Dao sends her to order lamb chops. He then confronts Bai Feili, reminding him of their previous encounters in Suzhou and asserting that he will closely monitor Bai Feili's actions.
Brother Dao warns that if Bai Feili ever hurts Yu Fei, he will not be forgiven, and declares he will not give up on Yu Fei. Bai Feili retorts that such declarations only come from losers. A drinking contest ensues, and Bai Feili eventually becomes heavily intoxicated. Brother Dao helps Yu Fei take the inebriated Bai Feili home. He expresses his displeasure that Yu Fei had already introduced Bai Feili to his grandparents without informing him.
Attempting to help Bai Feili change, Brother Dao is put off by the situation and leaves Yu Fei to manage, further questioning her relationship with Bai Feili and voicing concerns about her being taken advantage of. Drunk, Bai Feili mistakes Brother Dao for a pillow and clings to him, prompting Brother Dao to push him away and tightly wrap him in a quilt.
When Brother Dao pointedly asks Yu Fei if she truly loves Bai Feili, she affirms it with a resolute nod. The next morning, Bai Feili wakes up bewildered by the tight wrapping and playfully asks Yu Fei about any "special hobbies," ignoring her attempts to explain. He then cautions her against secretly meeting her childhood friends, threatening to "punish" her similarly if she does.
Struggling to accumulate enough money for her tuition fees, Yu Fei declines Bai Feili's offer of financial assistance. While studying at a coffee shop, she encounters her junior apprentice, Lan Ting, who has an injured arm from working as a stunt double. Lan Ting shares that he earns a substantial amount per job, which makes Yu Fei contemplate putting her dreams on hold to pursue stunt work.
She dismisses Bai Feili's messages about picking her up and takes a stunt job, only to discover she is the double for Lingjiu. Seeking to undermine Yu Fei, Lingjiu intentionally asks the director to increase the stunt's difficulty, specifically requesting that Yu Fei perform a dangerous aerial swing followed by a severe fall to evoke audience sympathy. During a challenging high-wire stunt, Yu Fei’s safety wire unexpectedly breaks, causing her to fall.
Briefly unconscious, she experiences a recurring dream of a lion. She awakens to find Bai Feili by her side; he had rushed to the set after checking her location. Bai Feili gently carries her away, but Yu Fei, downplaying her injuries, insists on completing her final shot to receive her payment. Concerned for her well-being and upcoming exams, Bai Feili offers to cover her pay, but Yu Fei firmly rejects his charity and returns to finish filming.
Frustrated, Bai Feili angrily walks away. After her final shot, Lingjiu once again tries to provoke Yu Fei. Yu Fei confronts her, revealing a pair of pliers found in Lingjiu’s bag, suggesting she tampered with the wire. Lingjiu then reveals that Bai Feili had already confronted her, accusing her of attempted murder and threatening legal action or the termination of her acting career if she continued to target Yu Fei.
Realizing the gravity of the situation, Yu Fei decides to quit stunt work. As she leaves the set, she finds Bai Feili still waiting for her, and despite their earlier disagreement, he extends his arm, inviting her to walk with him. Noticing Yu Fei's worn-out shoes, Bai Feili buys her a new pair and personally helps her put them on, reassuring her that he will always find her, no matter where she goes, and hopes their disagreements will not linger.
Yu Fei reflects on her life, acknowledging how she has always had to work harder than others to achieve her goals but has never given up. She expresses her desire for them to move forward "shoulder to shoulder," supporting each other while maintaining their individuality. She also embraces the idea that accepting help is a form of strength and assures Bai Feili that she will not hesitate to "trouble" him in the future.
Seizing the moment, Bai Feili asks her to move into Zhan Garden, openly admitting, "I need you." He encourages her to show vulnerability when necessary, emphasizing that true strength lies in not being afraid to show weakness. Deeply moved, Yu Fei agrees. Subsequently, Yu Fei moves into Zhan Garden.
On one occasion, Bai Feili's grandparents are busy tinkering with some gadgets, which they quickly hide when Yu Fei unexpectedly enters, playfully pretending to give her grandfather a massage to divert her attention. Later, while out shopping with Guan Jiu and Mengru, Mengru realizes that Yu Fei and Bai Feili are living together. Mengru, spotting a man she affectionately calls "Yukito brother," rushes towards him, almost tripping over her long skirt, but he catches her just in time.
