The evening began with Yu Zhi at a social gathering, where he was playfully interacting with a woman named Anita. Gao Hui arrived and was displeased to witness their flirtatious exchange. She confronted Yu Zhi, questioning why he had called her there just to watch him flirt. Yu Zhi, maintaining a carefree attitude, dismissed her concerns, claiming he was simply rewarding her for her hard work and toasting their "common career."

Gao Hui sarcastically noted the hardship of pretending to be a couple for his career. Yu Zhi countered, stating it was no hardship to pretend to be with a beautiful woman for his career, further provoking Gao Hui. Upset, Gao Hui declared she was merely playing along and had no interest in joining any other women in such a game before leaving abruptly. Once she departed, Yu Zhi reverted to a more serious demeanor, mentioning he had a girlfriend.

Later, he returned home and felt a slight sense of relief upon seeing Gao Jie peacefully asleep. The next day, a company conference took place where Gao Hui's design received approval from Chairwoman Lin. The discussion then shifted to the potential dissolution of the Custom Order Group. Yu Zhi quickly proposed expanding its scope, but Gao Jie intervened, bringing along three senior masters.

She asserted that the Custom Order Group was confident in securing a larger market share and sought to participate in the upcoming annual ceremony. Yu Yi objected, citing their lack of entries for the event, but Gao Jie was prepared. She unveiled a unique brooch, blending Eastern and Western aesthetics, which garnered praise from both Mu Ziyun and Chairwoman Lin. Master Zheng promised sufficient finished products before the exhibition, requesting only a single opportunity.

Chairwoman Lin agreed to let the Custom Order Group join Rui Hua's annual ceremony. However, a problem arose concerning booth allocation: the Inlay Group refused to cede any of its 30% share. Mu Ziyun stepped in, allocating 10% of the Plain Gold Group's booths to the Custom Order Group, with the condition that their continued existence would depend on their sales performance.

Gao Hui, still disdainful of Gao Jie, dismissed her efforts as a desperate struggle, but Gao Jie merely offered a calm smile. Afterward, Master Zheng reminisced with Chairwoman Lin about starting Rui Hua with Yu Zhi's grandfather from a small gold shop, lamenting the potential closure of the Custom Order Group. Chairwoman Lin shared his sorrow over the possible loss of traditional craftsmanship but admitted Gao Jie had rekindled her hope.

Master Zheng affirmed that Gao Jie had indeed reignited their confidence. Later, while Gao Jie was busy working in the Custom Order Group, Master Zheng brought her takeout, revealing it was ordered by Yu Zhi. Master Zheng then spoke to Gao Jie about Yu Zhi's childhood, explaining that Yu Zhi's mother was forced to her death by Mu Ziyun.

Gao Jie was shocked, unable to believe her aunt could be such a person, realizing that Mu Ziyun's relationship with Yu Zhi was more complex than she imagined. Gao Jie later approached Mu Ziyun, subtly inquiring about her past with Yu Guanghua, but Mu Ziyun sighed, unwilling to discuss it, and changed the subject. Gao Jie then watched an interview featuring Yu Zhi and Gao Hui on television, which inexplicably filled her with resentment.

Consumed by this frustration, she refused Yu Zhi's offer of company materials for the annual celebration, opting instead to retrieve materials from Chen Pinzhen herself and leaving Yu Zhi behind. Sometime later, Gao Jie returned home and Yu Zhi found her looking at houses online. She explained she was helping her mother, Pan Yue, find a new residence as Pan Yue disliked the nursing home and Gao Jie hoped to care for her herself.

Yu Zhi, relieved that Gao Jie wasn't planning to move out, offered to handle the house search. He then confessed to his "terrible crime" regarding the public relations crisis that required him and Gao Hui to pose as a couple for an interview as representatives of a new generation of jewelry designers. Gao Jie candidly told him she disliked Gao Hui and did not want her boyfriend constantly entangled with her.

Yu Zhi, thinking she was merely jealous, was taken aback by Gao Jie's intense reaction. Gao Jie emphasized that he didn't understand the difficulties she had overcome to be with him. Following a meeting with Chairwoman Lin regarding the Custom Order Group, Gao Jie encountered Mu Ziyun and Yu Yi.

Mu Ziyun subtly probed Yu Yi about his contributions to the "Heart of the King" piece, which was now in a prestigious museum, and questioned why Gao Hui and Yu Zhi were doing the promotions. Yu Yi asserted that as brothers in the same department, it didn't matter who took credit. Mu Ziyun, however, warned him not to let a "younger brother" take all the credit from an "older brother," trying to sow discord.

Yu Yi, seeing through her intentions, replied that trust was paramount in a family, a concept he felt Mu Ziyun struggled to understand. Later, Gao Jie received an urgent phone call from Pan Yue's nursing home, informing her that Pan Yue was missing. Fearing Gao Hai was involved, Gao Jie rushed to his house, but Gao Hui answered the door. Gao Jie, desperate to find her mother, demanded to know Pan Yue's whereabouts.

Gao Hui, however, callously refused, telling Gao Jie to kneel and beg for the information. Enraged, Gao Jie pushed Gao Hui aside and frantically searched for Pan Yue. Eventually, Mu Ziyun called with good news: Pan Yue had been found at the nursing home, happily clutching a collection of feathers. Pan Yue, surprisingly lucid for a moment, explained that the goose down could substitute for kingfisher feathers in traditional "Tian-tsui" craftsmanship.

Gao Jie wondered if Gao Hai's efforts to get Pan Yue medical help were finally yielding results. That evening, Gao Jie messaged Yu Zhi, informing him she would be staying at the nursing home with her mother. Yu Zhi interpreted her message as a sign of her unhappiness and that she had "gone home." The next day, Gao Hui arranged an interview at the Custom Order Group workshop.

Yu Zhi suggested they move to headquarters, feeling the traditional setting didn't fit the Hui Xin brand, but Gao Hui insisted it would promote Rui Hua's historical background. Yu Zhi accused her of using the opportunity to assert dominance over the Custom Order Group. During the filming, Gao Hui deliberately acted intimately with Yu Zhi, making gestures toward Gao Jie. She then called Gao Jie over, asking her to hold a reflector board.

When Gao Jie hesitated, Gao Hui directed the masters to do it, forcing Gao Jie to step in. As Gao Jie struggled with the heavy equipment, Yu Zhi tried to help, but she defiantly pulled away. The masters observed their strained interactions, confused by Yu Zhi's shifting allegiances. During the interview, Gao Hui downplayed the traditional craftsmanship displayed in the Custom Order Group, calling it insignificant for new market development.

Gao Jie interjected, passionately arguing that traditional styles were gaining popularity among young people globally and that by blending traditional methods with modern designs, the Custom Order Group could create marketable products. Despite Gao Hui's dismissal, Gao Jie firmly stated that these pieces could become an important part of the market once designs were finalized. Later, Gao Hui met with Wu Xiaoci and spoke of her strategy to keep Yu Zhi bound to her.

She explained that by becoming his indispensable partner in his career, she would ensure he could not leave her, and he would eventually be hers. Wu Xiaoci praised her, noting that she had inherited her mother's style. Meanwhile, the masters of the Custom Order Group lamented that their exquisite handmade jewelry could only be considered collectibles and not products for a wider audience.

Inspired, Gao Jie declared her determination to fight for the Custom Order Group to exhibit at Rui Hua's annual celebration, believing it was their chance to open up the market and gain company investment. The masters, however, remained skeptical, acknowledging the difficulty of such a feat. Later, Yu Zhi was entertaining clients, and Gao Hui noticed him sitting next to a beautiful woman, which made her very angry.

When Gao Jie returned home, Yu Zhi was met with a distressing sight: she had packed her bags and was determined to move out. Yu Zhi panicked, desperately seeking a coherent explanation, as he couldn't fathom why she would leave, especially since she had been the one to initially resist making their relationship public. Gao Jie, however, harbored a deep, unspoken pain that she couldn't articulate, resorting to vague excuses for her decision.
