Yu Zhi agreed, noting that while plagiarism might seem like an opportunistic shortcut, it created a bad industry habit that required unwavering determination to correct.
Expressing a desire for more innovative designs, Gao Hui proposed entrusting Yu Zhi with recruiting new staff, with her oversight, as she believed the new design team should attempt more innovations in line with international trends. Yu Yi later found Gao Hui annoyed that Yu Zhi was not answering his phone. Yu Yi advised her that her "Princess Syndrome" and haughty attitude would only push him further away, and Gao Hui agreed to try another method.
Meanwhile, Chen Pinzhen returned from her hometown and rushed to see Gao Jie. She found Gao Jie temporarily staying at Yan Kai's house, which sparked a comical misunderstanding and bickering between Chen Pinzhen and Yan Kai until Yu Zhi also appeared. That evening, Gao Jie prepared braised meat for Yu Zhi. Wu Xiaoci received a call from a lawyer representing Gao Hai to discuss their divorce. A distraught Wu Xiaoci was composed by Gao Hui, who assured her she had a plan to reconcile them. Later, at Gao Hai's art exhibit, Wu Xiaoci and Gao Hui made a grand entrance.
Wu Xiaoci attempted to reconcile with Gao Hai, but he remained firm on the divorce. Gao Hui intervened, reminding her father of her mother's contributions to his career and threatening to distance herself if he pursued the divorce. Faced with his daughter's ultimatum and public attention, Gao Hai reluctantly joined them for a family portrait, creating the image of a happy family for the media. Gao Jie showcased her latest piece, "A Touch of Fragrance," which combined Chinese elements with Western inlay craftsmanship.
She passionately defended her design against Gao Hui's criticism, explaining its symbolism of the five-petaled plum flower and its technical details, particularly the channel setting. Chairwoman Lin was impressed, especially after Gao Jie accurately answered a question about channel settings by quoting her grandfather's words about having an "affection for light." Chairwoman Lin instructed Gao Jie to await notification. It was then revealed through a flashback that Chairwoman Lin had previously met Gao Jie in a park.
