My Eternal Star Episode 11 Recap
> My Eternal Star Recap
Following Lin Xiaodi's drunken confession and kiss the previous night, Lu Yuheng seized the opportunity to make her feel responsible. When she inquired about her return home, he mischievously exaggerated, claiming she had not only walked back by herself but also persistently knocked on his door, hugged him upon entering, forcibly kissed him, and demanded he never leave. Though Lin Xiaodi could only recall fragmented memories, the account left her thoroughly embarrassed.
Leveraging this, Lu Yuheng declared that based on her "past actions" towards him, she was fully responsible for him. He then firmly told her that she was not to leave him without his permission again. When Lin Xiaodi tried to explain her previous behavior by saying she grew up overseas and was more forthright, Lu Yuheng quickly became an inquisitive child, barraging her with questions about her parents and her life abroad.
Lin Xiaodi, finding his curiosity peculiar, was interrupted by a phone call from Han Ruibing, instructing Lu Yuheng to finish his porridge before she left to answer it. On the phone, Han Ruibing mentioned she had heard from Zhao Muran that Lin Xiaodi was back home, and that Zhao Muran seemed to be in a bad mood.
Lin Xiaodi then informed Han Ruibing that Whiz Lu was sick, prompting a frantic Han Ruibing and Liu Yan to rush to the supermarket. Liu Yan complained about carrying a large box of supplements, questioning why he always had to assist Han Ruibing when she was pursuing Whiz Lu. Han Ruibing retorted that it was his honor. Upon arriving at Lu Yuheng's house, Han Ruibing burst into his room, enveloping the surprised Whiz Lu in a hug.
Liu Yan tried to intervene, reminding Han Ruibing that Whiz Lu needed his rest. Lin Xiaodi stepped in and managed to usher them out of the room. Liu Yan later confided in Lin Xiaodi, speculating that Whiz Lu's illness was likely due to a cold he caught a few days prior, after rushing out in the rain with an intense expression, "like he was out to catch an adulterer."
Liu Yan also shared how Whiz Lu had always taken care of him, even giving him prize money despite his modest skills, comparing their bond to that of a father and son. Lin Xiaodi then gave Liu Yan a pair of headphones that Lu Yuheng had actually purchased for him, which touched Liu Yan deeply. Liu Yan, impressed by Lin Xiaodi's Hanfu designs, asked if she had any for men.
He tried on a white Hanfu, and Lin Xiaodi showered him with compliments, calling him incredibly handsome and graceful. Lu Yuheng, who had been listening from his doorway, appeared visibly irritated. He then demanded to try on the same Hanfu, wanting to show the difference between them, despite his usual aversion to wearing clothes others had worn. Lin Xiaodi was mesmerized by Lu Yuheng in the Hanfu, thinking he looked like "a star descended into the mortal world."
When he pressed her to compare him to Liu Yan, she diplomatically stated that they each had their own unique charm. Unsatisfied, Lu Yuheng cornered her, demanding to know why she had such rich vocabulary for Liu Yan but was speechless for him. Noticing his flushed face and ears, Lin Xiaodi asked if his fever had returned, to which he replied that it was normal for a fever to recur and that he "liked this feeling."
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Han Ruibing had made her "nutritious porridge," substituting cucumber with bitter gourd. She offered it to Whiz Lu, but Liu Yan, being the unfortunate taste-tester, immediately began vomiting, dramatically exclaiming that he was "poisoned" and "transforming." Whiz Lu was relieved that he hadn't consumed it. Lin Xiaodi offered to take Liu Yan to the hospital, but he quickly recovered.
Han Ruibing then announced she would return the next day, but Lu Yuheng firmly refused, insisting he needed to rest and playfully suggesting that Han Ruibing should "take responsibility" for his current state. At work, Lin Xiaodi overheard her colleagues gossiping about her alleged relationship with Zhao Muran, claiming she had an unfair advantage and was stealing their opportunities at "Blooming Jasmine."
Bai Wei, the director, called Lin Xiaodi for a private conversation, explaining that the rumors were negatively impacting the design department and the company. She subtly hinted that Lin Xiaodi's presence was causing problems for Mr. Ding, who otherwise greatly admired her talent. Understanding the underlying message, Lin Xiaodi decided to leave "Blooming Jasmine." Ding Yuan, the company's General Manager, later told Lin Xiaodi that her decision to leave might be beneficial.
He acknowledged her innate talent and creativity but noted her need for a deeper understanding of traditional culture, suggesting that "Blooming Jasmine" might not offer the ideal learning environment for her. He encouraged her to create her own brand, emphasizing the importance of incorporating traditional Chinese elements like Suzhou embroidery into her designs, and advised her that experience is gained through trying. He even recommended a renowned Suzhou embroidery master, Jiang Aihua, for her to learn from.
Grateful for his guidance, Lin Xiaodi vowed not to disappoint him and, inspired by Lu Yuheng in Hanfu, decided to name her new design "Eternal Star." Back at home, as Lin Xiaodi returned, Lu Yuheng pretended to be weak and secretly heated a thermometer in hot water before placing it under his arm. When Lin Xiaodi felt his forehead, it wasn't hot, but the thermometer showed a reading of 39. 4°C. Concerned, she insisted on taking him to the hospital.
Lu Yuheng vehemently refused, claiming to hate hospitals, and then suggested she hug him as a "physical means of dispelling a cold." They struggled playfully, and Lin Xiaodi lost her balance, accidentally falling onto him. The following morning, Lin Xiaodi was busy planting vegetables in pots. When Lu Yuheng came out, he asked what she was doing. She excitedly explained that they would soon have fresh, organic vegetables and invited him to join her.
He recoiled at the idea of touching dirt, playfully suggesting he would rather touch her than the dirt. The atmosphere became awkward, and in a flurry, Lin Xiaodi accidentally spilled dirt on him. As she leaned in to help clean him, their proximity made Lu Yuheng retreat quickly to his room. Clutching his wildly beating heart, he mused that he might need to see a doctor, or perhaps even a psychiatrist, for his recent erratic behavior.
