Kang Jiawei confronted Xu Jingjing, asking why she arranged their meeting at a coffee-only shop when she knew Gao Zhan exclusively drinks milk and fruit tea. He correctly suspected Gao Zhan's appearance was not accidental but at her request. Xu Jingjing apologized, admitting she had intentionally set it up. She explained that after her subtle confession to Gao Zhan failed, her friend Wei Xue suggested she use an online acquaintance to make him jealous.
Realizing he had been used as a pawn, Kang Jiawei was deeply hurt by her actions. Later, Gao Zhan returned to the hospital room to find Jingjing sound asleep at her desk, drooling slightly. He quietly took a picture before gently wiping her mouth, smiling at the sight. When Jingjing woke up, she was embarrassed, frantically asking if she had snored or drooled. Gao Zhan reassured her she hadn't.
He then confessed that during their agricultural trip, his negligence allowed the dog he was supervising to eat the eggs Jingjing was responsible for. He admitted his daily hospital visits were driven by this guilt. However, watching her sleep, he was surprised to find her cute and wondered if this was a "sign of love." Upon returning home, Jingjing was horrified to find her parents had redecorated her room in "Barbie pink" with "Lolita princess" curtains.
Her friends, Xiaobai and Jiayao, found the story of Gao Zhan's dog eating her eggs hysterically funny, to her annoyance. Jingjing also vented her frustration that Kang Jiawei hadn't visited her once during her illness. Back at school, Jingjing's resolve to scold Kang Jiawei vanished when she saw him with Xu Jingjing. He later approached her to clear the air about their previous conflict, and they awkwardly reconciled.
As the school's Arts and Culture Festival approached, Kang Jiawei and Xu Jingjing prepared the cheerleading team's routine, while Jingjing and Gao Zhan focused on the Taekwondo Club's performance. During the preliminary competition, the Taekwondo Club's performance was derailed when their speaker, left uncharged, died. Despite trying to perform without music, they were eliminated. Xu Jingjing, whose team advanced, tried to apologize, but a disheartened Jingjing wouldn't listen.
When Kang Jiawei offered to help, Jingjing lashed out, accusing him of gloating since the team he coached had qualified. Spurred by her anger, Kang Jiawei sought help from other clubs, trying to secure a performance slot for the Taekwondo Club. Meanwhile, the Taekwondo Club members, though initially dispirited, rallied together, reaffirming their shared passion. Kang Jiawei then proposed to Xu Jingjing that the cheerleading team share their stage time.
Acknowledging her team advanced partly on sympathy votes, Xu Jingjing agreed. The next day, Kang Jiawei excitedly told Jingjing their clubs would perform a joint "Taekwondo Dance." When Jingjing credited Xu Jingjing, Kang Jiawei clarified the idea and effort were his. He also explained he had visited the hospital but left upon seeing her with Gao Zhan, reaffirming that while Xu Jingjing was his online friend, Jingjing was his best friend in real life.
On the day of the festival, Gao Zhan meticulously marked a spot on stage to help Jingjing perfectly execute her final flying kick. Xu Jingjing hoped her mother, Liu Wan, would see her perform, as it was her last show before senior year. Though initially reluctant, her parents attended, along with Jingjing's. As their joint performance began, Kang Jiawei watched intently. However, during Jingjing's final move, a misstep on her part caused Xu Jingjing to twist her ankle.
